- Sharing a tutorial on how I make tags with my coffee stained parchment paper. The original idea and inspiration come from Tuire Karanen on You Tube. A few of these tags may make their way into my vintage ladies junk journal. Stay tuned for the decorating/embellishing video of that journal coming up soon!!

Love using napkins and now I love using parchment paper. Also love adding the sewing💖🤶🎅💖
This is great! I'm going to make some of these today. I'd call this a Forgotten Friend Technique for a Friday.
❤ How are you Ms. Gayle? I love this idea!! Thank you as always for keeping our JJ community informed of new ideas!❤❤❤
You might use your vintage photo reinker to dye the lace. It takes only a little and you can dry it with your heat gun. You might even go the tea dye reinker because of the color of the parchment paper. Just a suggestion. I love your videos. I don't care who came up with the ideas because you teach them so well. Thank you for all the time you put in. Cora
Ooh, I found a Gayle oldie! I love these tags and will be trying them. Tfs!
Made my first journaling tags today from collage using Mod podge! So exciting...I can see why now how you can do as much as you do! Its addicting and therapeutic! #craftysunday

You are just excellent!!! I made three tags from your tutorial with variation to yours. If I can figure out how to send a picture I will do that.
I put cut metal from old tins on the front.

hi gayle, this video popped up to watch just now so i did! and i just happen to have some coffee dyed parchment paper. i will have to mod podge (just around the edges) you were like a little 'jack in the box' popping up and down to grab this and that 😊 and the crumbly top of your inking tool.... i read so many comments where that was mentioned 😆 so fun to go back and see your videos before i 'found' you. 💕👍

I’m new to crafting , this tutorial has really helped me , and given me so much inspiration so thank you. I’m from England. X
Jackie wale Me too Jackie, I'm not new to papercrafting but I am new to Journals! Gayle is a wonderful teacher! I'm from West Yorkshire xx
Gillian Waterhouse I’m new to paper crafting too , but Gayle is so easy to follow. I’m bamboozled by all the glues at the moment lol xx
Jackie wale it seems to me that when she is doing the collage items she uses a pritt stick (probably because it's a dry glue and won't buckle the card or paper)! They seem to use a lot of fabritac for materials in the USA, (but it's quite expensive), I would personally use the Pinflair book binding blue which is ideal for these type of projects! Think you can get it on Amazon but you can get it on create and craft for definite! You don't need a great amount for sticking things down! xxx
Jackie wale Also Jackie the Mod Podge is good too it works as a glue for example but then you put a top coat on it then acts as a sealant
, xx
Gillian Waterhouse I have mod podge , and tacky glue , and fabric glue, thanks for the tip about pritt-stick ,I’ve been having problems with the buckling of card . I will get a pritt stick as well. 😊
Loving these! Thanks for sharing

They are beautiful! :) ♡ TFS! :)
Love this!!
OMGoodness, we must be on the same wave link, I just finished up a huge load of coffee & tea dying and have a huge stack of parchment paper left from that. I like making my own bags from them but I have way more than I need for that so this awesome idea you are showing is just in time. Thx so much for sharing honey. PS lol just a quick FYI for those who might not have a sewing machine, maybe just tack the parchment with glue only around the edges, that way keeping the crunchiness.
The Old Bohemian Gypsy 👍👍👍great idea...glue around the edges! Why didn't I think of that! 😂😂😂. Thanks for watching, sweetie! I'm excited that we've found a new use for your coffee dyed parchment!! 😘❤️
Beautiful! TFS
your distress ink will go SOOO much farther if you change that sponge! so pretty
Carla Marlene Haha!! I finally did change it out. I kept thinking I'd waste all the ink already absorbed in the old sponge! 😂😂😂. Thanks for setting me straight! 😘❤️
very cute!!
Have you ever tried a decorative sewing machine embroidery stitch around the edges? I have a few stitches on my machine that will look kinda pretty. One of the designs is tulips in a row. I think I’ll use contrasting thread too. Thanks for sharing your expertise and enthusiasm.
Andrea Johns Yes! I have a leaf stitch that I use a lot! Love it! ❤️
Lovely, thanks for sharing It.
