Over 20 years we've had various Pokemon games, spinoffs and remakes, all containing secrets that the player was not aware of. Some of these secrets are available in the game whereas some are found in the game's data. In this video I'll be looking at 10 of my favourite secrets from the Pokemon Games! I left out quite a few so if you'd like a sequel to this video let me know in the comments! :)

I honestly don't care if people think I am childish for adoring Pokemon as an adult. I grew up with it, and will always have a soft spot for the series. :)
I'm the same way! Pokemon has been one of the game series's that has been around for most of my life, so it's a very special thing to me. Even now, an adult, I still enjoy seeing all the new pokemon that come out.

I really do believe that Professor Oak was meant to be the champion. I do think there was some dialogue somewhere that states he used to be a champion or something, but I don't recall. I think it's cool how in Sun and Moon Professor Kukui ends up being the champion, since it seems like that was something Game Freak has had in mind for a while. I do hope that we get canon battle with Professor Oak someday.

Maybe this stone was supposed to be used to get the original dragon but was scrapped because game freak decided go with the kyruem forms

There was also the 'beast' type that wasn't introduced and also another funny early name Pokemon was Abra line- Hocus,Pocus and Alakaza
Pokemon Girl maybe the Bird and Beast types were condensed into the normal typing because most normal types are either simple animals or birds.
Pokemon Girl Beast type was probably going to be Dragon type
Funny thing is, the abra line in german is called Abra, Kadabra and Simsala wich indeed translates to hocus pocus alacaza
They should reintroduce the Beast type for Ultra Beasts in Gen 8

Maybe the God Stone was going to be used for Kyurem, or it could've been used to combine Reshriam, Kyurem, and Zekrom into their true form.
Pokemon Sun has DNA splicers to change their forms. LoL

@@bear.skylegion1216 you know that you can only add 2 of them together , the original kyurem form was a comination of reshiram and zekrom, they got split so now they are both appart and Kyurem being the left soul of the original kyurem

Damn how could you forget my favorite glitch of all, being able to catch Mew in Pokémon red/blue? Something just seems so mysterious about that glitch.. I love it.

Kenny McCormick go to 00.47 when big 10 number appear and you will see only dragonair. If you go to 1.15 when big bird word appear, you will see dratini and dragonair at the same time.

I have replayed Blue Mystery Dungeon multiple times and the Munchlax event only happened once when i first played the game.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe the 5 johto remixed songs were only found on the german debug rom of ruby version discovered and dumped by DRX and were intended only to test the soundfont before new songs for the final game were composed

Thanks for a fun vid Twintendo! While I admit to knowing of about half of these (I'm a Pokéfan but not a Pokémon GO fan!) it's still fun revisiting Pokémon's past. If you can find more secrets I'd love to watch a sequel to this vid!

I would love a sequel! I got back into Pokemon because of Pokemon Go. the only main series game I played was yellow so seeing your top 10 lists has really gotten me interested in learning more

speaking of Types: what about the ??? type moves like Curse and Wide Slash from Pkmn Mystery Dugeon Explorers of time darkeness and Sky???
I think Curse had to do with the fact that it has two different effects depending on whether or not it is used with a Ghost type. They couldn't figure it out what type it should be until Gen 5.

i actually learned something from this video. most videos like this just reuse the same facts everyones heard before. good job.
i actually didnt realise oak was a battleable trainer. the only glitches i ever utilized was the mew glitch in yellow. you could also get nidoking/queen, and clefable/wigglytuff this way, depending on which you obtained prior.

you have a great method of explaining things. you should make a video explaining everything for a complete n00b. i have been playing since blue, but always as a casual player looking for fun cool and cute pokemon. never new about iv's ev's breeding or shinies. so maybe just cover it all? explain terms. explain community things like what is pokemon bank? what is pokemon showdown?

My theory is munchlax is snorlax before it was a snorlax. He munched on food and lot and got fat, evolved, now he just sleeps all the time because he is fatter. Plausible?

It’s definitely possible. However, I think Munchlax could be a scrapped Xerneas evolution. Munchlax is blue and Xerneas is also blue.

I think it would be cool to see the concept art for all the Pokémon to see how they evolved over time before their release.
