- Can we get 1,000 likes for a Brand New Pokemon Series? :D
There have been many fascinating Pokemon rumours and mysteries over the years, and in this new series I plan on getting to the bottom of each Pokemon secret! Today's mystery is all about the unknown and elusive PokeGods, who were rumoured Pokemon that had tremendous power and were almost impossible to catch. In this video I will explain what a PokeGod is, where the rumours originated from and I will go over each and every PokeGod that used to exist!

Twintendo THERE SECRETLY DIGIMON *im not comparing to pokemon *
Twintendo
You missed another cricket one.
Twintendo I would love to see a rom hack where they included these pokegods
THIS IS ACTUALLY COOL!!! I HOPE THEY MADE UP THIS MEGA EVOLUTIONS IN THE FUTURE GAMES!!!
"Corona Mew"
Me currently living in 2020: As interesting as a shadow mew is, no thank you.
What a shocker this comment is here.
Obligatory corona
In Pokemon Sun & Moon if you have a PC completely filled with nothing but Mew's and collect all of the Zygarde cells then go behind the daycare you can catch the rarest of all the pokegods Shigeru Miyamoto!
Kyogre's Hideout I am a hacker, and that didn't happen to me
+Infinite Insanity Shigeru won't appear in hacked games, it runs a check on if your save data's been altered
Zero3 then how is that possible?
Infinite Insanity well they are lying of course. But I say you get Pokemon yellow then name yourself GF and have the id 22796 and do the mew glitch I know you could get two of them. You need pokebank. Then transfer them. And put in your Pokemon game. Then get the cells. Then I really don't know how you are going to catch a Pokemon in the daycare. Since you are in a building. Good Luck.
Well, where can I find Satoshi Tajiri, then?
I remember those early days in the late-90s when any Pokemon with a number greater than #151 were seen as so elusive and special, such as "Pikablu" and the other Gen II Pokemon lol there was lots of rumors and speculation going around about these ultra rare Pokemon, and it made being a fan so awesome. I definitely remember hearing about Charcolt as well
I can see some connections between pokegods and mega evolution, most of the evolution pokegods became mega evolutions.
The Nerd Beast exactly
I'm suprised he didn't make that connection
@@charlesquales9503 Yea, lol
It’s the charizard, blastoise, venusaur ,beedrill and gengar one isn’t it
One other Pokégod I remember hearing about online as a kid was Rioligity. This one was gen 2, interestingly enough. Supposedly, to get it, you had to beat the game, get all 16 badges, and complete your PokéDex, and do something else specific (I forget). Then Professor Elm would call you and tell you Professor Oak had just died, and you had to go to the funeral. After the funeral, you'd have to do a really hard battle against Bill, and he had six Pokémon all at level 100. Beat him, and he'd let you into his secret garden behind his house, where you could catch Rioligity and other Pokégods.
The unidentified dragon is confirmed and is the dragon legendary in black and white there are theories on that
The Original Dragon has to do with Abraxas. Its power is greater than Arceus' who in turn is based on the Pleroma.
you know mega evolution is inspired by the pokegods rumor right?
the more ya know
Are you really telling the truth?
basicly the truth. The good chunk of megas are based on these "pokegods". Like M.Charizard M.Blastoise and M.Venosaur. Its pretty amazing ain't it ?
Actually it's based of digimon lmao
Yuri Lowell no just no....
Pretty crazy how this was something people thought and spread around, when nowadays, they seem too obviously fake.
+GatorEX Exactly, nowadays it seems ridiculous but back then anything was possible!
I can't say I ever believed the PokeGods stuff, but I 100% fell for Mew under the truck. I followed all of the steps (laid out to me by a kid who swore he had done it) and it obviously never worked. He even went as far as to say only 1 in 10,000 games actually had it and he just got lucky. That was when I finally knew he was lying.
To be fair, these theories were done by children... most of us that believed these theories were kids in elementary school.... as adults, we can more easily doubt it, but as kids, when it seemed that everyone believed it, it was hard to refute.
When everyone believed in Santa, it was hard to argue that he wasn't real. When everyone stopped believing in Santa, it was hard to argue that he was real.
And the art found on the internet seemed pretty real to lots of us. Remember, they actually had to give commercials back then stating that you can't trust everything on the internet.
Michael Mulligan you think that's bad? I fell for the one where you did something at the game corner, and waited two real life days for Oaks Aide to come and tell you that your mom died, and that she left an egg for you, that hatches into a Togepi... There we also the Venustoise rumor..ahhh.. Late 90s internet text based websites/magazine rumors..
I think it was possible to think as the first Gen already had some strange methods. Missingno was a Bug (or lost link) but it also waspretty strange for that time. Than there was the methodto get Mew which was wrongly described to be under the truck but some people were pretty close to get it indeed (and maybe even get it accidently). People soon expect more strange ways to get Pokemon I guess ^^
I remember growing up in the age of those weird myths and legends to come out of the 90's, including the myths of the PokeGods. Funny enough, however, aside from Pikablu and Mewthree for a short while, I didn't really believe in these particular rumors as heavily as most others. They were certainly interesting to hear about, but idk; as I said, apart from the two I mentioned, something seemed "off" about the rumors. I was probably also one of the lucky few who had access to information about the second generation of games, or at least enough information to understand that the newer Pokemon being shown were going to be coming up in another game rather than already existing in Red/Blue/Yellow at the time (except for Maril for a short while, I didn't realize "Pikablu" was possibly the start of the second gen until the First Movie debut with the Pikachu's Vacation short).
But yeah, I feel weirdly nostalgic for the crazy rumor days. I mean, in hindsight they were flat-out ridiculous, but this wasn't horribly uncommon for much-loved games of that era. I still find them rather endearing and even laugh at myself for believing some of them too.
I was too young and introverted at the time to hear most of the pokemon rumors, let alone think much of them.
Yeah, I remember when Marill "Pikablu" and Togepi had been first shown, and there was a buzz about Pokemon eggs, like they hatched into PokeGods or something...I believed those few first rumours (and the one about Mew being under the truck). I guess it's less easy to fool people now, with the internet so prevalent, unlike back then, haha.
Whatever happened to the Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza fusion?
KingStr0ngStyle ....that was a thing?
Terrifying Be Probably Would AtTh
THE
WHAT?!
That's from another planet that's not the Pokémon World.
The "Pokegods" on the thumbnail look like rejected Digimon
Ace 0 ikr
•Dashy• :P or mega charizard z and mega mewtwo z
Bruh
Lmao too fucking true
The charizard one looks like the origin of cubones skull
Why are the leaves in the background floating upwards throughout the video?
Whoa why does Doomsday look like Necrozma!?
Cause necrosma was made from changing doomsday
nerozoma is doomsday's son?!
Considering by this time, Nintendo of America were also designing Pokémon, it wouldn't surprise me if an artist who was in their early teens during the pokegods hype, created Necrozmal as a very gentle nod to Doomsday.
Doomsay looks like buried alive
he looks even worse
the true god is mega primal rowlet
MysticCosmog nope it's Super Duper Wow Ultra Hardcore Primal MagiDoof
Antonis 3K GR I thought* it was The Mega hardest metapod

CetaDelta Arceus the only god pokemon my ass. All hail the true pokégod Lord Helix
CetaDelta actually it's the primal fish
Shobe Peregrino u mean peanut?
The perfect golden bidoof
CetaDelta BIDOOF(amen)
Guess the pokegods based off the pokemon sparked the idea for mega evolution, I remembering there were footnotes on trsrockin a long time ago about fake pokemon but there wasn't much info on the pokegods rumors.
Digimon sparked the idea
Ah, the good old days of trying to move that damn truck in Pokemon Yellow.
surprised no big poketuber is going to cover this topic I'm going to say (from my knowledge) but...could missingno. be an ultra beast in the future?
imalltheragex2000 missingno came out centuries ago. Ultra beasts are recent . How in hell is missingno is an ultra beast? Lest be real here, is stupid.
Jess In Comments I ment in the future as a funny call back to the past games and I personally think that would be cool...and no I did not grow up with the OG games. also missingno. is weird looking enough to be labeled as an ultra beast
imalltheragex2000 That could be a fun theory! It's a nice link!
Missingno is a glitch, nothing more
The Answer is simple: No, Missingno is literally a system fail, and never was a official pokémon, and the concept of ultra beasts came on Sun & Moon, so no, Missigno ISN'T a UB
I remember the rumors about deoxys and the moon during the days of gen 3... Probably why I don't have fond memories about a lot of the Pokemon rumors from back in the day. XD
Pearduck -> pearl/duck.Because golduck -> gold/duck
if arceus was a pokegod in gen 1
3 gens latew
Many RUclipsrs:OMG!!!!! IT'S AN ACTUAL POKÉMON!!!!!!!!!
😏
Wait, maybe pokemaniac is clefairy! Dont you remember you had to morph bill back to a human form because he was a clefairy? Bill the pokemaniac? BAM ITS SOLVED XD
On the discussion of Missingno, I think that if it was made into an actual Pokemon, I think the Ghost/Flying would work nice as seeing three of it's forms would hypothetically be Ghost Type due to them being skeleton, plus it's Aerodactyl form would be a flying type
Awesome vid dude. I had no clue about those old pokegod rumors
+Manuel Rodriguez Thanks Manuel :)
The "Pokegod" Evolution of the Kanto Starters could the precursor to the Mega Evolutions to the Aforementioned starters, which seems likely.
i love how there's all these well thought out names and then SPOOKY
Very interesting video! I remember the legends around Mew and Deoxys xD
+LadyKappa95 Thank you! Same here, I kinda miss the days when rumors would spread but they couldn't be proven right or wrong :P
the youngster class are actually disobeying trainer school students
This was a fun episode. I would love to see more like this :)
To be fair, I thought that the term Poké God came from the fact that they're myths, like the gods of ancient mythology.
"Can we get 1,000 likes for a Brand New Pokemon Series? :D"
Looks like it, my friend. 846 likes as of this comment, only about ten hours after the video's release.
woah woah woah... So you're telling me that when I designed a bird form for missingno when I was a kid (Have played the games since gen 1) I just happened to be on the same path as all these supposed rumours? Keep in mind I had no idea how to work the internet back then so couldn't have heard of these before...
If you still have the drawing, post it somewhere.
Doubt (x)
id love to see a video about pokemon you think dont get much or enough love.
also your videos are awesome! keep being you!
+SerenitySpazQueen interesting you mention that because I'm working on that video soon! Also thanks for the support :)
Personally I don’t like those types of videos
But I know lots of people love them so...
There's the Kyurem complete form.. Since according to Unovan religions/lore, Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom were once whole. I guess that would be a Pokegod? We haven't even seen this guy yet; I hope we do eventually because that would be one heck of a design
5:06 THEY TRIED TO WARN US
...
Red hi I love ur games
... ...
Red I see you're still sour after I kicked you butt for the ump-teenth time on Mt. Silver.
Red as talkative as ever, huh?
LonewolfSaichi Lol
Yes!! This would be a great series! Please do another video :) I grew up with those ruby & sapphire rumors too and I love them cause it was so interesting even if they were false
+Gabby Harbour Thanks Gabby, I'll definitely do more videos like this :)
I just learned of another more pokegod that was specific to the kids playing the German language translation. Where English speakers use Abracadabra Alakazam! as an incantation, Germans use Abracadabra Sim Salabim! In the German Pokemon games the evolution line is Abra, Kadabra, and Simsala. This had kids convinced that there was going to be a 'Bim' final evolution to complete the pattern. Makes me really interested about how pokemon lore has developed over time in other languages,
Some of those pokegods=mega
Primator was the evolved form of Primape
8:04
Thanks for showing! It sure would be awesome if any of those pokemon came to fruition. Instant like!
I was a teenager between Gen 1 and Gen 2 and on the Internet all the time... I totally remember most of these PokeGods!! Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
What's up Sintendo nation? Also Pokémon Eclipse sounds way better than Pokémon Stars.
I completely agree, I don't know who came up with that name and why people follow the trend, having a new game (related to Sun & Moon) named Stars makes no sense, Eclipse sounds way more close to the real name.
Stars was just the code name Nintendo was using for the new game. it was in no way intended to be thought of as the new title. people just couldn't understand that so they kept saying it was the actual name. but I do think Eclipse would be a nice title for the next one
Rob Cotto Yea, but Pokemon stars works as a great codename for an upcoming game.
Hyikou Fang If I may add they never gave it the codename 'Stars', fans did.
ehh. either way, people shouldn't be getting upset that "Stars" wasn't made. and now with the released info for Ultra SuMo, I could just see the butthurt growing :/
personally, i don't mind. it'll be like another B/W2 and hopefully these games will feel more finished. unlike SuMo
5:06 *ITS CORONA TIME*
The Armored Mewtwo Evolution Rumors around The Playground at The Time was “Millennium” when I was a kid
Looking forward picking your brain in future podcasts. Great compliment to nick and reversal.
+Victor Martinez Thanks Victor! :)
The unidentifed dragon Pokémon might be the giant dragonite from the anime
Regarding Mewthree, no one ever thought that the Armored Mewtwo was Mewthree. The movie is what started the rumors of a Mewthree in the first place because right after Mewtwo was born the scientists who created him said they were going to start working on Mewthree. By this point we already knew that the Pok'emon in the armor was Mewtwo and not a separate Pok'emon. The only people who really tried to claim that was Mewthree had never actually seen the movie.
Anyway, there have been multiple different fan designs for what Mewthree might look like but except for that one line of dialog in the first movie it's never been officially be mentioned ever again. Some people are still hoping it will happen others have come to the conclusion that because Mewtwo destroyed the lab where he was created that Mewthree was never able to be completed. And probably no one has ever tried to repeat the same experiments again... except that if only one Mewtwo was ever created then why does a second Mewtwo appear to exist in the same universe? The original Mewtwo had a male voice while in the most recent appearance Mewtwo suddenly has a female voice and doesn't appear to have ever met Ash before indicating that it's a different Mewtwo than the one team Rocket created... even the origin is slightly different as there's a cloned human that grows along side her which was never seen in the original movie. So someone did copy their experiments and a Mewthree could still be possible.
RialVestro
There was an image leaked of “mewthree” (mewtwo in armor) before the movie actually came out.
also the scientists said no such thing they were all dead. dr. Fuji just said “we tried to make the world’s most powerful Pokémon, and we succeeded” before he also died.
Actually a bunch of people did think that armored mewtwo was mewthree lol why say no one thought that when it's obviously not true.
I think this girl was Green/Leaf because in the movie she says there is no difference between human in pokegod and in let's go she throws pokeballs at the player?
8:33
Zapmolc was a Team Rocket Experiment gone right, but after being attacked by Green,Red, and Blue for the final time after Red's Ivysaur evolved into Venusaur they were able to split them then the three birds flew away.
this is good, I just got done looking this up the other day lol
you forgot rhypink
more videos like that pls
Like someone should do a fan game revolving around the pokegods
Great video! I like watching these videos!
+Flareknight79 Thank you! :)
isn't arceus the only pokegod
klaus #1 NO LORD HELIX IS
You forgot about Peanutbutter the perfect BIDOOF
Dialga and palkia...
He mentioned that.
I N S T T I C T MAGIKARP
Now I want a multitype pikachu
Angry Garden Crafter There should have been an Alolan Pikachu, considering there was another Pikachu that showed up in the anime that almost resembles Alolan Raichu.
I remember Puka! There are rumours going around that Puka was born in Alola.
Holy crap, this brings back memories. On our playground, Millenium was the name of the black, red-eyed Mew, but I think this is the only other time I've seen that design.
I remember hearing about Charcolt as Charcoal, and it had three heads.
"Don't believe everything on the internet"
This coming from a guy ON THE INTERNET. Paradox
UnovaKid 24
wait... are saying you’re NOT a guy on the internet??!?!!? Call me UB Burst because my mind is blown!!!
Make some more!
Its pretty cool that there was a real way to get mew in red and blue. You battle a ditto, fly somewhere that a trainer tries to battle you, fly away before the battle starts, and walk in wild grass, and mew should show up.
Boy, this took me down memory lane. XD Good ol' 90s.
Mega mewtwo was in Pokémon Genesect the legend awakened
LIT Litten the X&Y games were already out when the movie came
No they weren't.
XY weren’t out at that time. that Mewtwo and mega charizard from origins were the first we ever heard of mega evolution and before charizard we didn’t have a name or an explanation.
Mega Mewtwo Y was originally referred to as "Mewtwo:Awakened Form" by the Genesect Movie. It got retconned into a Mega Evo after that was revealed as a feature. Mega Charizard Y was also revealed before Mega Charizard X. Origins didn't happen until a couple months after Megas were revealed.
PokeGods??? No.. POKEMON IS LIKE A GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Linmil 2016 lower case g
What do u mean?
Linmil 2016 arceus
Linmil 2016 Are you serious, FUCK OFF!
HEY!!! Its my opinion so watch you language plz :I
Enjoyed a lottt
Oh yes. Thanks for sharing this video. Very nostalgic. I remember many pokegod rumors and the “cheat codes” to unlock them from using the item finder on every tile in the unknown dungeon to get the mist stone(the stone to evolve Raichu to Pikablu or Charizard to Charcolt) to beating the elite 4 with 6 Butterfrees to get an invitation to Bill’s secret garden or Professor Oak’s garden depending on the website, where you can catch other poke gods. Oh and having all 150 Pokémon and beating the elite 4 x number of times.
"Zapmolcuno" is not a thing. The name 0f that fusion is Thu-Fi-Zer
+Project_X_Ver_Zer0 You're right, completely forgot it's name. The sources I was looking at called it Zapmolcuno
Project_X_Ver_Zer0
Zapmolcuno is a 1:1 translation of the name Thu-Fi-Zer. It's just the first part of the names of Zapdos(Thunder) and Moltres(Fire) and adding the last part of Articuno's name(Freezer). They didn't use this translation in the English version of the manga, but I think it's actually better if people call it Zapmolcuno because it's clear what it means. If you told a Pokémon fan who has never heard of this manga that there's a "Thu-Fi-Zer" in it, they probably wouldn't know what you're talking about(since Fire, Thunder and Freezer don't refer to Pokémon most of the time, Japanese Gen 1 names kind of sucked in that regard) while with "Zapmolcuno", you can tell immediately what it's supposed to be. It saves you a lot of explaining.
5:08 Wait hang on..
Yes Corona mew
The coolest thing about this that most of the PokeGods ended up being actual Pokemon later.
The "fourth" evolutions of the starters and Mewtwo were their Mega Evolutions in Gen 6.
The Lickitung Luigi one, you were supposed to get a Lickitung to level 99, and as it gave you the level 99 announcement, you turned your gameboy upside down and held it, until it evolved. They ended up actually giving this mechanic to Inkay years later, and I always wondered if it was a reference to that.
I have a theory. What if a longtime ago, there were thousands of Pokégods. When Giratina created Yvetal, the Pokégods tried to stop it and in the end, got wiped out . Only Arceus survived and it created an egg ( togepi ) as a way to resurrect the old Pokégods. However , it didn't work and togepi was not considered a Pokégod.
Hope you guys enjoyed my theory. ☺
Also, missingno is the remnants of the Pokégods' soul.
Knights of Minecraft 2016 I like it.
+Knights of Minecraft 2016 One problem: Giratina represents antimatter, not the Pokémon version of Satan. I believe Yveltal is more like a Poké-Satan as its lore is in part based on Morrigan (the Celtic goddess of death) and _yvel_ was how the word "evil" was spelt in Middle English.
JamesDavy2009 I see. Then in that case my theory was a bust . 😕
It’s got plenty of holes, granted. But I thought it was an awesome and imaginative concept. I would like to see something like that
Maybe they could still make this work they’d just have to do it a little differently
Pokémon ragnorock/armegheddon
Anthrax looks like Sableye
6:26
I still remember back in Gen 2, where they said, if you went back to the place you catch Lugia/Ho-oh, with a clone of them (real one should be released into the wild) a special pokemon would appear there, can't remember the name, was "something" 2, and the strangest thing is, it's artwork was very similiar to Deoxys. Never seen this again, maybe it's lost in the old internet forums, way back then.
Primal Regigigas was intended for ORAS, but was scrapped in development.
This theory is supported by evidence in Sea Mauville, the Devon Corporation and Team Magma/Aqua's hideout.
Very intricate lore, I even made a video about it.
Anyone have cool Sun/Moon theories?
I am making a rumour everyone back it up and make everyone believe it, the eeveelution Draceon was in x and y's code.
Coralee Newberry It honestly would've been quite believable considering Sylveon being Fairy type.
+Leo's Fryed Potatoes I agree on that hypothesis as each Eeveelution pair since Gen-II had one member with a type advantage over the other and the one with a type disadvantage had better stats or abilities. E.g. Gen-II gave us Espeon (Psychic-type) and Umbreon (Dark-type); Gen-IV gave us Leafeon (Grass-type) and Glaceon (Ice-type); and Gen-VI gave us Sylveon (Fairy-type).
As +Coralee Newberry has stated, a Dragon-type Eeveelution (named Draceon or Drakeon) would have been plausible as a counterpart of Sylveon as would other Eeveelutions of types the Fairy type is strong or weak against such as Poison (Toxeon), Steel (Ferreon or Metalleon) or Fighting (Gladeon, Sparteon or Centureon).
If the even-numbered generation trend holds, Gen-VIII will give us one or two more Eeveelutions so it'll be around 2019-2021 when that happens.
Coralee Newberry how do u know
That is how I came up with this hypothesis.
Coralee Newberry Not everyone is going to go back and search that far to research. Not only that, but if told correctly, it could work
someone at my school has that card
Takiya Datcher I do also
Takiya Datcher I do
I do too, it came with the vhs tape of the first pokemon movie
Oh man this is nostalgic I remember these rumours from the playground and early web!
This makes me miss those first couple of weeks after PokemonGo came out. The pokemon rumor mill was back in full force so briefly.
Lord Helix
Buu Balance The true pokégod
El cactus de la muerte
*worship him*
this is preposterous!! this is blasphemy!! Hail HELIX!! and the church of ARCEUS!!
awesome video dude😀
The sprites! Amazing!
I remember a myth that I totally wanted to be real. It was a way to get Mew. If you had both Fire Red and Leaf Green, capture Mewtwo in one and send it to the other. Then initiate the Mewtwo fight in that game with the first Mewtwo in your number one slot. Sadly, after many many months of an 11 year old completing two pokemon games, It was just Mewtwo VS Mewtwo. Didn't play pokemon again for awhile.
I was one of those kids in 1999 who actually believed in that rumour and I kept writing down what I saw in the internet and showed it to my classmates. I wrote down stuff like:
"Pokegods
#151 Mew
#152 Houou
#153 Togepi
#154 Pikablu"
and so on....
There were also fake rumours for the original games that if we beat the elite 4 30x without turning off the game, Prof. Oak would get tired of taking us in the hall of fame room so we would be free to walk around in that room. We supposedly can wander around and if we exit, we would enter a city of Pokegods. There was also the rumour of the mist stone, supposedly found in Cerulean cave/Unknown dungeon and they say it evolves Raichu into Pikablu.
I also saw pictures from the beta version of Gold/Silver that never made it in the final version and there were Pokemon that were changed/removed. The rom for the beta version actually became available a few years ago so we finally find out what the beta version looked like.
This is awesome
I see so many good ideas for pokemons here
I loved your video so much
I have never heard of this before, but intresting. My thought goes to a Pokémon magazine that talked about Pokémon Stadium guide and Gen 2. They did´t have any info, just sprites and names and there they thought Entei was a evolution of Raikou. Really funny in hindsight XD
New Pokemon no one ever seen before?
Praise it like a god.
I'd love to see those RS rumor vids!
I saw that Yoshi joke in a magazine and totally tried to make it happen for over a year haha
if you dont kind me asking where did u get the sprites for some of he pokegod like he evolutions? is there a fan game that includes them
You thought it was Pikablu, but no, IT WAS ME, MARILL!
I love the lure and idea of pokegods I really miss these kinds of playground rumors
I heard a few of these back in the day, specifically Pikablu and that Missingno was supposed to be Togepi, (let's be honest, none of the ones afterwards ever seemed real) but no mentions of PokeGods whatsoever.
Corona mew hits differently now
The missingno bird is in a ROM hack called pokemon prism. It's name is phancero. It's animation glitches into missingno when you enter battle with it. It's pretty cool.
People thought Mewthree was a real thing because it was talked about in the first movie. After successfully cloning Mew and creating Mewtwo, one of the scientists exclaims that they should "get started on Mewthree".
