The other dog is not Fay Ray. Man Ray died in 1981 and Wegman didn't get Fay Ray until 1986. I'm not sure who the other dog is, but he often used other people's pets in his creations.
+Rebecca Lax - I think this issue of which dog is Man Ray? Is he even in this video? hasn't been answered for certain. Here is a link I found of the original set of early films that William Wegman did in the early 70's(?). The uploader mentions that this video includes footage of Man Ray. I THINK he's the dawg in the last - and earliest(?) of the films. So, you may very well be correct in identifying the dog on the left in 2Dogs&Ball as Fay Ray, because I think that was made later on??? (Lol, notice all the question marks?!) . I saw this decades ago in one of his exhibits and I swear to god I've never laughed so hard.
The other dogs name was Hooka ...I was the behind the camera that night in Watertown
Oh really? Well if you say so
Just imagine if this was Elmo teasing the dogs. That would be one hell of a deleted scene from Sesame Street.
So cute!
My favourite of the Wegman dogs films. Woof!
Man Ray was an AMAZING dog. A god dog...
@sobylmine Thanks for the heads-up on Man Ray ! I will correct the description...Martha
william wegman is the best "weimi-artist" for ever
Belliísimo
So awesome
Thanks Gerard
@SirCliveCalculator Mine too! Thanks for the comment. Woofwoof!
the youtube letterman video is called: "William Wegman and his dog Man-Ray on David Letterman"
the dog on the left is not a Weimaraner, but actually a German Shorthair Pointer
Man Ray on the right for sure and the other dog's name is forgotten by Wegman as he says himself on Letterman. :)
I believe this was before the Fay, Patty, n Crookie days
t'es génial continue
On a clip from Letterman, Wegman says this other dog is a german shorthaired pointer.
I wish you had titled this differently. The title is a spoiler. I remember seeing this on the Tonight Show when Wegman was first gaining an audience.
I believe the other dog is Fay Ray!
He didn't get Fay Ray until after Man Ray died.

I think the dog on the left is Fay Ray...his offspring?

No matter when you live, people will always spend outrageous amounts of money on equipment to record their dogs acting silly...
