I do use diesel as opposed to kerosene simply because it's handy and I do run the bike in 1st gear just because I'm lazy and I do it just before I wash the bike and oil the chain after why would anyone own a bike without a centre stand

Yes that's pretty much what I do. I do apply a bit of 90wt oil for lube but don't really need it.

I use diesel when on the road but not at home because it will eat away the rubber seals in the o-rings.
