- Hey everyone back with more Scrap Mechanic survival! Today we are back with a secret surprise episode! I was away for a week and wasn't able to record coop with @darealkosmo so instead he built up some surprises for us to explore! I have yet to see what he's got so I'm excited to figure out what he's done and see what happens!

I miss the days when KOSMO and you did these together. It was a highlight of my week, and I would watch both episodes to get both perspectives. Bring back KAN and KOSMO chopping down trees and other things again please.

Gold chests appear in the pits underwater, those ones seem to respawn occasionally.

"what have we started" just brings me back to me and a friend playing modded Minecraft. One of our mods added a cicada, and for a good month we were hiding a single cicada inside each other's houses. It was infuriating lmfao

About being that guy that gets called in an airport. A few years back my dad and I went on a trip. Long story short we went scuba diving and he had an accident with his mask making his eyes internally bleed (it wasn't serious, his eyes just were red for an entire month). While we were in the airport coming back home, he gets called, at first we wwre really confused. When we get there, they tell us to get in the plane first because of his "dishability"... We tried to explain that it wasn't a problem just a stupid accident while scuba diving but they insisted so we gladly borded first lol.

Bots can already destroy protected stuff, as seen by the explosive tape it's destroying parts of the warehouse.
There is no sensor that makes an aircraft engine go full reverse. That’s done manually by the pilot 😂😂 but there are a sensor that detects if the wheels have touched down which will deploy the spoilers, and if the pilot doesn’t land hard enough the sensor won’t trigger 😜

Pilot can select full reverse, but it will actually happen when wheel touches the ground
Same with spoilers, pilot just set them to activate on landing, they will activate automatically
So it is kinda both :D

Great episode! From memory I think someone said gold chests respawn every 60 ingame days, so the best idea is to visit new structures, or revisit really old ones! I love the funny day number part XD
22:45 I've been in that situation before, we had to get from one flight to another, and the first one was delayed massively...
Each Damaged Crate that spawns out in the open has a 2% chance to become a Golden Damaged Crate.
Golden Damaged Crates will sometimes spawn on the roof or uppermost floors of Ruins, most commonly in taller Ruins and other tall structures.

Kan what you described is called reverse thrust and it’s not sensor operated it’s operated by the pilots. There are switches on the throttle levers that when pulled towards the throttle levers it activates full reverse thrust.

16:53 I love that fact about bath tubs. As cast iron ball/claw-foot tubs fell out of favor and were replaced in bathroom renovations several farms, like the dairy farm where I grew up in Pennsylvania, partially placed them partially sunk into the ground where springs emerged in the pastures to be water troughs
Alternative fact, in survival bathtubs are not invincible to bot damage. I had one in my world that was in a woc area and I was early on in my world so I thought, "I'll come back for it later, I don't have room for it now." Later, A haybot raided into that area and it ended up destroying that bathtub right before my eyes. So it wasn't the game glitching the tub out of existence or I accidentally misplaced it. It shattered right before my eyes as a haybot stabbed at a woc and hit the tub as well. So just note that one, kAN.
According to the wiki:
"Damaged Crates out in the open (i.e. not near or inside structures) and in Warehouses have a 2% chance to become a Golden Damaged Crate, except for crates at the Crash Site."
I've definitely found gold chests spawned in the same location multiple times... they are quite rare though

Kan, there is no sensor for the Thrust Reverse, the pilots manually do that, on the throttle levers in the cockpit, on the actual levers, in the case of a Boeing 737!, on the throttle levers, there are other levers that the pilots pull back to open up the thrust reverse. You are correct about how the plane slows down however, Those doors that pull back that you see open up, close little separate doors/flaps that close, forcing* the air to go forward, slowing down the plane. I wanted to correct you because I am a plane nerd and rocket nerd and what not and I correct everyone :)

There are SO MANY promises in this video... Kosmo's owed a prank, Dapper needs to be clothed, some farmerballs need to be fetched, gold chests need to be found again... This series was pretty much abandoned to check out the Raft Mechanic mod. Can we get kAN and Kosmo chopping some trees back in this world?
Just hit the warehouses you have cleared. The bots take a long time to respawn inside, but the chests respawn pretty quick. With a flier you can go from roof to roof. Also the storage and the elevator are past the ventilation system so you only need to run about 1/3 of the top level... for 5 gold chests. The loot box does not respawn though so no seeds and clothing. I only have 6 warehouses on my world, but that usually gives me 3-5 clothing boxes.
Also I turned the brightness up so I can see really easy at night, but the chests glow, so flying around low lets me see the ones in the ruins and scattered around the field. Those ones in the field are random though. I would also take a stack of beacons to mark warehouses and farmer locations.
I put radar dishes on every wrecked building. If I did not find a gold chest, I mark it red, if I did find a chest, I mark it gold.
Revisiting gold ones does not always yield a gold chest, but most of the time it does. I think it's some kind of re-roll chance per building.
The reversing thruster is done by the pilot. Depending on the aircraft you either hit a reverse thrust button or you pull the throttle back past zero.

when you enable unlimited inventory and you search in interactive or parts one of the two you can find encryptor and decryptor and in the description it says that when powered by battery container it disables connection tool and the other one says that it disabled player interactions

I got the same problem kan. my keybinds are 1 g 3 4 and I've had this issue for as long as I've had 1234 as tgfh (ever since I learned that this was how scrapman had it multiple years ago).
the engines reverser is not outomatic the pilot have to pull the handle on there throtle

my guess would the protector stops block placement, not destruction. that’s why you can blow things up in the warehouse but not pick them up

This is a theory but if you bring the encrypters back to the warehouse do they turn back on? If they do is it because of the chunk or is it because the warehouse is open?

Kan's been plotting these pranks for a while..
Uhh errr kAn, plane guy here, so about reverse thrust, it isnt sensor activated, the pilots control it and the engine doesnt go full throttle in reverse, its actully the air going in the engine and coming out foward making a lot of air drag therefore helping the plane slow down.
So the engines are just off with the panel opening for the air to go reverse
I have an idea for a prank. Have Dapper or another friend come on as your newly hired partner instead of Kosmo. This is in reference to his first attempt at landing the helicopter end of the video.

Maybe Dapper would join you to get the farmers and farm the broccoli (get him all the spudguns, too and make him work for them. You could even get all the green boxes missing for him, by farming the first field with half carrots (for green boxes) and half potatoes for a bunch of ammo) for the boxes with him together. Maybe, he´ll like the game in survival more and might wanna join you in your mp world. you could even try to get all your seeds uip to all chests full, bc you get mountable spudguns and the ammo containers from the food, too. Armor your farm up with sensors (need max range) spudguns for the raids with the farmbots (each gun should have a capcity to kill a farmbot itself) to get all the pineapple and broccoli up.
Build a huge farming permit and land ownership thingy.

i have made. combine harvester useing a bit of fuel and takeing some minor damidge to the blades it can almost fully stunlock and kill a farmbot at CLOSE range

When a plane lands the reverses do not come out automatically they have to be done manually by pulling on the thrust reverser‘s when you do touchdown speed brakes do come out automatically but not the reverse thrust
