"He's a paranoiac who's a menace to our society" - WOW I was ensconsed in Batmania AND the salacious output of the Ghetto Boys in 89/90... and never put together where that sample was from!
I just wanted to pop by and say that this channel has introduced me to a bunch of great comics that really allows me to take advantage of my Marvel Unlimited subscription. I got corona last week and decided to read the last 20 years of Moon Knight because of your video on him. Keep up the good work, Chris. 🙂
I had two power record comics as a kid. The Batman and Robin Versus The Joker and Spider Man versus Draco the Dragon Man. The art in both was beautiful. Especially the Neal Adams Joker. That story was also memorable because the Joker killed people in it with his poison that contorted their faces into a hideous smile. This was a return to the dark murderous Joker of the early 1940's and was a big change from the watered down version on the 1960's Batman TV show and on Saturday Cartoons! I admire Power Records and DC for allowing Neal Adams and Dick Giordano to show the Dark Knight Detective version of Batman that reemerged in the late sixties and early seventies in this format! Thanks for the great video and good memories!
Can we get a Jim Lee tropes? The man was a god back in the early 90s.. I know he's still around and it would be awesome to compare, for example, his early 90s X-Men run vs today. Love the channel!
I’m a pinch younger than you, but I also grew up with these records and they meant a lot to me (in fact I still have them). Also, one of my earliest memories for my birthday was getting the Hulk Meego you showed in the video. The fact that you knew of these comic records and the hip hop records the samples appeared on AS they were being released really makes me want to be your friend. You’re just the coolest dude. Keep up the great work! Ps. Idk what I’m gonna do when I have watched all these old episodes. I’m going to be addicted to Patreon content lol.
I'm a very recent subscriber but can I say I love your content. I've been binge watching all week. I especially love the intro. Cant wait till this channel explodes.
Another great comic tropes video! Glad to hear the channels growing, the videos are always informative and entertaining. Thanks for all the great work Chris and looking forward to whatever the next video is this week!
Well, yes they were, but that line does make sense--trying to capitalize off the height of the post-Civil Rights / Black Panther / Black Power movements.
how you found these little nuggets of info like Eminem sampling Capt.America dialogue is so awesome! love your channel. happy for you that this channel is growing!
Very interesting. I had the Capt. America (Phoenix) and Spiderman (Wolfman) issues. I remember listening to them over and over as you mentioned. Keep up the good work.
The Man-Wolf record scared the crap out of me as a kid because of the howls they used. Never stopped me from listening to it but scared me every single time.
Oh Hi! you caught me looking at your vast catalog of comic tropes. Great stuff and fun. I've only ran into your channel for 2 days now and I'm having fun. Thanks for the great work.
I have the Batman/Sherlock Holmes record and comic and the artwork is nicely done. Fun to relive experience of childhood in a new light. Thanks for the Power Records story!
Had 2 or 3 back in the day, Batman and Superman I believe. I loved them for years. When I got older I enjoyed the 'radio announcer' style the actors had. Very old school deep, resonant voices to give the impression of square-jawed heroes. really fun. now... how much for that Stan Lee turd?
Chris, your comic spinner rack is a nice touch! A few years ago I bought myself a white magazine spinner rack to serve the same purpose. At the time no one was producing comic racks. It's fun to periodically change out what's on display.
There's a company that produces vinyl pressings of horror movie soundtracks that decided to do their own line of horror comics, each with their own 7" EP for a soundtrack to accompany the comic. The company is called Waxworks Records. Can't speak on the quality since I haven't picked them up yet, but it's sort of similar to this I guess.
As of now, that mega-rare comic is still for sale on eBay, and the seller increased the price. It's also been confirmed that it is fake (in the picture you can see extra staple holes, indicating that he did replace the cover like you said), but oddly enough, that error was a real thing that happened. It's not really a collector's item, more like a weird trivia fact. That seems so bizarre. It's like someone counterfeiting an issue from The Clone Saga assuming that because people talk about it decades later that they'd actually pay good money for it, then selling that counterfeit issue for $250000 and being surprised that no one buys the thing.
I don't know if this was a Power Record production, but there was a Fantastic Four radio play that had a young Bill Murray (Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, Lost in Translation) as the Human Torch, with narration by Stan Lee. The complete series can be found on the Internet Archive or possibly RUclips.
Awesome vid, Chris! Love the content in this vid. It really brings me back. Those ebay prices make me wish I had kept these records. Love the spinning rack....nice touch to the channel. Thanks for posting!
Wow! I actually owned a "The Story of Star Wars" LP during its late 70s heyday--and it was my main way to binge-consume Star Wars in those years before I could drive to actual theaters to see the movie. Thanks for a fun and informative episode. PS, great hearing your voice and insights again!
Graphic Audio produces some adaptations like Crisis on Infinite Earths and Civil War. Reminds me a lot of the old Power Records but without the "beep" to turn the page!
Graphic audio was fucking amazing!! Unfortunately not only does DC and marvel not work with them anymore, but you can't even find the old ones that they made! I used to have ALL of them downloaded and saved to a micro SD card in my phone. But then about a year ago I made the stupid mistake of factory resetting my phone which wiped the SD card and there all gone! I can't even find them anymore no matter how hard I try!
The Power Records albums had the Book & Record stories without the beeps. The only ones that don't have unbeeped versions are: Man-Thing: Night Of The Laughing Dead The Adventures Of Holo-Man Robin Hood 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea Robinson Crusoe Davy Crockett Huckleberry Finn Little Women A Story Of Dracula, The Wolfman & Frankenstein And although they are unbeeped, the Power Records singles that were not released on albums had to be turned over to continue the story causing a break in the action on titles like: The Monster Of Frankenstein Tomb Of Dracula: Terror In The Snow Werewolf By Night: The Curse Of The Werewolf Shazam!: The Mighty Dr. Illusion And from the albums: Star Trek: The Crier In Emptiness Batman: The Christmas Carol Caper Wonder Woman: The Secret Of The Magic Tiara Space 1999: Death's Other Dominion
Those "Star Trek" changes to Sulu and Uhura may have raised a few eyebrows among hardcore Trekkers, but I doubt anyone else would've batted an eye. There's an episode of Netflix's "The Toys that Made Us" covering the history of Star Trek toys, and there's a consistent pattern of companies not giving a hoot about remaining true to the spirit or content of the show itself. Then again, most of those other merchandise pieces at least, ahem, "color" Uhura and Sulu correctly. I don't know what Neal Adams' studio was thinking here. In fact, if I didn't know any better, I'd think they'd suddenly promoted Lieutenant Chapel to communications! As for the new guy at the conn, I always thought there must be a huge rotation of crew members at that position; it's not like Sulu can handle that console all the time, right?
Theoretically he does 8 hour shifts and he's only 1 of 3 people who man that console. We never see the night shift though. Mind you they're supposed to be the equivalent of a navy ship, so maybe it's two 12 hour shifts. I wonder who takes over for Kirk when he's sleeping?
@@WildBluntHickok Now you have me wishing one of these Star Trek stories would give me more logistics of how and when the crew trades off roles for breaks, especially since anyone other than the main cast is almost always incompetent.
Great vid/review... love the channel 👍🏻😄 I'm an obsessed collector of retro superhero/sci fi audio drama lp's/casettes/records & comics... 🎙️🎙️🎙️ Rich in London 🇬🇧
I really enjoy your show and want to thank you for your very interesting and well-made show! I discovered your channel a short while ago and im about to watch every single episode. the way you presenting content is so wonderful natural and pleasant. two characteristics which are rare to find in these days on youtube.greetings from germany ps.sorry for my imperfect english...
I couldn't help but notice the "Civilian justice" comic behind you hahaha, I love how you placed it between Superman and Spiderman :P Another great episode by the way!
I had many of these back in the 70's. There was a Hulk story I had with the record I really liked. There was also a 33rpm record of a an original Spider-man story I owned that had original songs on it and such to compliment the story. Great channel!
Hey kids, this is what a you tube clip was way back when I was a kid. You just dropped the needle and got yourself a picture and sound show in your own room.... Loved these when I was a kid, had a few have bought a lot more over the years - and still love them! The planet of the Apes ones were great....
I remember these from my childhood. I'd forgotten all about them. I had a couple of the records that you showed in the video. I had Superman and the Star Trek record. I used to buy them for a buck or two at a defunct discount department store called Korvette's.
Great episode as always, Chris. The Fire and Water Podcast Network has a podcast called "The Power Records Podcast" which has the audio for many of these. You can find them easy by googling "power records podcast". Many can also be downloaded by the, er, usual methods, matey.
I think Czarface uses sample from the Iron Man records. Until I watched this video, I figured they were from cartoons. Czarface has Inspector Deck from Wu tang
Iron Man also had his own cartoon at the same time (60s) as Hulk, Spidey, and Thor. I think Subby may have had one aswell. I have them here on DVD, and they are a right larf. The various theme-tunes are genius, and worth admission alone. Merry Xmas "LiL'JpD."
@@joedent3323 The show was called "The Marvel Super Heroes (1966) and featured Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, The Mighty Thor and Sub-Mariner.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane! I had Planet of the Apes, GI Joe, Spider-Man, Batman, and Superman. And Draco the Dragon (Spider-Man) was my favorite of all them!
Interesting video, I have a 45 of a star trek story, never knew they had a connection to comics, pretty cool. Love the section on famous samples too. cool stuff.
That Batman Power Record at 1:53, I still have that. Not sure if the record plays but I know the book is falling apart. I would love to hear it again, has anyone put these up on RUclips?
I had all of those Power Records back when I was a kid. I loved them. I even had the Spider-man Rockomic and I can still remember how much the beginning when Peter Parker was having a bad dream about his Uncle Ben scared the hell out of me.....but I still listened to it constantly.
I remember the Power Records imprint of Peter Pan Industries. In fact, I work with and was a friend of the founder's son Donald in the 90s. The company changed its name to inspired and moved its headquarters to Florida.
I had that Spider-Man record with Man-Wolf as a 5-year old; I think I had a Batman one as well, but I remember the Spider-Man record, as I was absolutely terrified of the Man-Wolf for some reason and my parents had to take the record away, as I would listen to it, but cover up the panels of Man-Wolf with my hand as I read along. Ah, 5-year old me. So impressionable. Re: podcasts, I’m sure someone must have already mentioned the Wolverine podcast in the comments already. I haven’t listened to it myself, but it’s fully acted w/sound effects, and I’ve heard it’s quite good.
What really gets me about those Star Trek comics is that Kirk, Spock and Bones are clearly all drawn from reference photos of their respective actors and look quite close to them in all panels. So it's not like the artists had never seen the show or had no idea what the cast looked like. I guess it's possible that they didn't have clearance to use the likenesses of Takei or Nichols, but...was there really no way for them to still draw them as an Asian man and a black woman, just not modeled specifically after the actors?
The artist of the book & record interior art and the Star Trek single cover art for "To Starve A Fleaver" appears to have confused Lt. Uhura with Lt. Palmer (Played by Elizabeth Rogers) in the episodes "The Doomsday Machine" and "The Way To Eden" But the artists of the back cover of the Star Trek Volume 1 album and the front cover of "The Crier In Emptiness" book and record more resembles Nichelle Nichols. Elizabeth Rogers' Wikipedia and IMDB pages have images of her as Lt. Palmer that strongly resemble the Power Records comic art. The art for Power Records' Star Trek: "Dinosaur Planet" and "The Robot Masters" resembles Nichelle Nichols. As for Sulu, I don't know if maybe there was an episode where he was replaced at the console by a black crewman while he was with the landing party or incapacitated in sick bay.
There is a fantastic comic series called Skin & Earth which is written and illustrated completely by the indie pop singer Lights. The first collected TPB and a hardcover version came out recently and last year her most recent album came out and each song was written in correlation to a certain section of each issue of the first 6. It is insanely well done and not only a great read/great listen individually, but listening while reading through it truly is a fulfilling experience. I recommend and hope you check it out, it was released through Dynamite comics.
I do know of a comic podcast! You guys should all check out Batman: the Audio Adventures Some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time, I felt like I did when I was a kid watching the animated series. Superb voice work, creative editing, great sense of humor, genuinely good storytelling, and again just a stellar, extremely talented cast
In the UK had the Peter Pan audio tapes and storybooks for Batman and also for Superman. I still have the comic books but the audio tape has dissapeared by now.

Red Panda is a throwback radio show that has novels and comic books that tell new stories that fit in with the audio drama. They are produced by Decoder Ring Theatre and Monkey Brain Comics has printed and or distributed their stuff.
Wolverine: The Long Night is being advertised as Marvel's first scripted Podcast. It will be free on iTunes September 12. From the audio trailer, it sounds like a murder mystery in Alaska. A local cop investigates missing women killed in the woods and it all leads back to Logan. The acting sounds great and I'm very excited to listen.
1980's 'The Untold Legend Of The Batman' mini-series was produced along with what was in essence a radio play of the events of the series. It's available here on YT, at least the last time I checked.
I know this is an old video, but I felt the need to comment. Graphic Audio; an audio book company that makes production with full casts, sound effects and music, used to make Marvel and DC audio books based off of the comics. They haven't for a while so I assume the licensing fees have increased. But some of them are pretty good since the company's production is top notch.
Might not be the same as what you were thinking off but ... In the 80s and 90s I bought a whole slew of 3D comics. One of them was the 'Rocketeer 3D #1' (Neal Adams art, 3D by Ray Zone) and it had a cassette tape to go along with the story. Might be you find interresting. (Also a look at 3D comics in general might make a fun episode :) ).
Wolverine: The Long Night and Wolverine: The Lost Trail. Marvel and DC are both looking at doing more of these, but those two are already out on Stitcher. Oh, and I just realized that this episode was BEFORE those were out. :)
I think that Teen Titans / Marvel Two-In-One must be for real. It was graded by CGC. I'm not a fan of CGC and entombing comics in a plastic shell, never to be read again...but I'm pretty sure they could spot a fake. It's interesting to note that CGC calls this a New Teen Titans #6 with a Marvel Two-In-One interior, and not a Marvel Two-In-One #74 with a Teen Titans Cover?
Apparently it's been confirmed as a fake (the original staple holes can be seen). Bizarrely it's confirmed that such a misprint exists though. Presumably they wouldn't have tried to fake it if it wasn't already documented as a misprint that's in the wild.
According to the Power Records book, "Power Trip" by Jason Young,, they only had the license to use Kirk, Spock and McCoy. So they were not allowed to use the likeness of Sulu and Uhura, hence the different races.
A slight shift in topic, I think that 1960s animated Spider-Man - since it was mentioned here - is definitive for 2 things: the awesome theme, as mentioned, along with most of the incredible Ray Ellis soundtrack; and Spidey's voice: since the 1st time I ever heard that voice, it's the one I always hear when I look at the comics. The Romita Silver Age issues in particular. It has so much personality. Intelligent and sarcastic. (Per all the high-pitched sissy voices in all later adaptations, y'know, not every male teen has a high voice!)
I don't know if there any podcasts of radio plays based on comics, I do know that there are some fan-made plays here on RUclips. Aside from that stories like Final Crisis and 52 we're done is audiobooks. I don't know about anything being made more recently, but the way the audio books are done is a lot like a radio play from the 40s and 50s. They're really cool because it's like the new version of power records. I think they even did Civil War as an audiobook, I'm not as in the Marvel so I didn't go looking for them although I have a lot of the classic power records Marvel stories.
There was a American Godzilla lp from 1977 that was loosely based on the Marvel comics incarnation of the character. Titled Godzilla: King of the Monsters, it was produced by Wonderland Records, it was re-released in '98 to cash in with the awful '98 remake. The two episodes, Godzilla vs. the Alien Invasion and Godzilla vs. Amphibion can be found legally on RUclips and YT music.
I don't think that it was based on the Marvel Comics version, but it did use the cover art from Marvel's Godzilla, King Of The Monsters #1. Wonderland Records also produced albums for Emergency!, Baretta and The Bionic Woman who I think Power Records would have done a better job with like they did with The Six Million Dollar Man who at least mentioned Jaime Sommers at the end of the story "Operation Deep Freeze" on Volume 2 of Power Records' The Six Million Dollar Man.
I used to have two of comic - record combos, or to be precise the mexican spanish speaking translations of the Spiderman vs Draco man and one Star Trek one, these versions used the same voice actors that dubbed the Spiderman cartoon and the Star Trek series that were continously on reruns in Canal 5 of Mexico City durings the 1970's. They were great.
You should also check out Man or Astro Mans first album. They have a song called “invasion of the dragon men” where they take the line from Draco king of the gratin men straight out of the record.
Well they aren't readings of comics, but Marvel released a Deadpool audio play a few years ago and recently released a wolverine audio drama. DC has also made an audio drama, but it was a Batman audio drama with steve blum as Batman released only to the Navy.
Never had these but the Star Wars book/record sets were cool. Many years later I realized that some of the dialogue lines from the book version of Empire didn't quite match up.
This is pretty interesting and I didn't know much about these. The closest I remember is the Spider-Man Reflections of a Rock Superhero album. Any chance you'd look at some older Legion of Super-Heroes stuff? I liked Giffen's dark reboot but the Levitz era would be fun too.
Ik they did somthing like that for video games. When the last halo game came out they released a weird but cool podcast story on the side. It was super cryptic but very cool
I had a pretty good collection of Power Records, the G.I. Joe, Marvel and Planet of the Apes, I loved it! I actually do aspire to make my own comic book and record, using a downloadable MP3 file that readers can get from the web. wish me luck and turn the page when you hear the sound!
I had that Spiderman vs Draco comic an record, as well as the Star Trek Mauve or whatever it was comic record. For some reason I always felt really creeped out by the Star Trek one. Maybe it was that funny little creature, maybe the way they drew the book, I don't know. It was just strange.
I always like how the background pictures change based on the seriousness/silliness of the topic. Like if it was a serious episode is was the one where Green Arrow & Green Lantern find out Speedy was a junkie & if it was a silly episode it would be the background with Superman punching ball sacks.
Wolverine The Long Night is an official marvel scripted podcast series, although you have to join a service to get it but you can get a month free trial. This series only came out before the summer.

"FALCON, THE WINGED BLACK SUPERHERO"
Man the 70s were weird
Well, yes they were, but that line does make sense--trying to capitalize off the height of the post-Civil Rights / Black Panther / Black Power movements.
I remember the Falcon doll!
It makes it sound like being black is a super power. I just wish they introduced all the white heroes the same way.
4Dmike introducing captain America, the white soldier
But it’s good to see that Captain Obvious was getting work back then . . .
how you found these little nuggets of info like Eminem sampling Capt.America dialogue is so awesome! love your channel. happy for you that this channel is growing!
Very interesting. I had the Capt. America (Phoenix) and Spiderman (Wolfman) issues. I remember listening to them over and over as you mentioned. Keep up the good work.

These records bring back so many memories...my older brothers had em, and I got to enjoy em. Thanks for sharing!
I had those records when I was a kid.........Damn when did I so old? EXCELSIOR!!!!

Great stuff mate, always keen to see your vids. Really interesting dive into Power Records, really cool to see how it came up in hip-hop.

Not produced by Power Records.
The only ones that don't have unbeeped versions are:
Man-Thing: Night Of The Laughing Dead
The Adventures Of Holo-Man
Robin Hood
20,000 Leagues Under The Sea
Robinson Crusoe
Davy Crockett
Huckleberry Finn
Little Women
A Story Of Dracula, The Wolfman & Frankenstein
And although they are unbeeped, the Power Records singles that were not released on albums had to be turned over to continue the story causing a break in the action on titles like:
The Monster Of Frankenstein
Tomb Of Dracula: Terror In The Snow
Werewolf By Night: The Curse Of The Werewolf
Shazam!: The Mighty Dr. Illusion
And from the albums:
Star Trek: The Crier In Emptiness
Batman: The Christmas Carol Caper
Wonder Woman: The Secret Of The Magic Tiara
Space 1999: Death's Other Dominion
I couldn't help but notice the "Civilian justice" comic behind you hahaha, I love how you placed it between Superman and Spiderman :P
Another great episode by the way!
Wow, I am actually old enough to have had and used a book-and-record set when I was a kid. Huh. Was that iguana blood story the origin of The Lizard?
varying-degrees Nope! Very similar idea but this was an original story that repeated the idea.
The Draco story, which I had and LOVED as a kid, was more like Stegron's story with a little Dragon Man mixed in.
It was repeating both the ideas of The Lizard and Dragon Man.
I had many of these back in the 70's. There was a Hulk story I had with the record I really liked. There was also a 33rpm record of a an original Spider-man story I owned that had original songs on it and such to compliment the story. Great channel!
We
Loved listening to your interesting and humorous talk
I had some of those Power Records. I liked them a lot.
Hey kids, this is what a you tube clip was way back when I was a kid. You just dropped the needle and got yourself a picture and sound show in your own room....
Loved these when I was a kid, had a few have bought a lot more over the years - and still love them! The planet of the Apes ones were great....
I remember these I listened to them all the time at my library. This is and superfriends is where my love of superheroes started.
Thanks for this tour through one of the more unusual entertainment products from comics lore. Very interesting indeed!
I remember these from my childhood. I'd forgotten all about them. I had a couple of the records that you showed in the video. I had Superman and the Star Trek record. I used to buy them for a buck or two at a defunct discount department store called Korvette's.
I'm trying to make comics, and getting info on comics here really helped. Thank you!
Excellent Atom Yup, he definitely does. I think mostly from Fantastic Four.
Iron Man also had his own cartoon at the same time (60s) as Hulk, Spidey, and Thor. I think Subby may have had one aswell. I have them here on DVD, and they are a right larf. The various theme-tunes are genius, and worth admission alone.
Merry Xmas
"LiL'JpD."
@@joedent3323 The show was called "The Marvel Super Heroes (1966) and featured Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, The Mighty Thor and Sub-Mariner.
This is really interesting stuff, man. Great job, you've always done quality stuff.
BTW I believe John Buscemi worked on that Star Trek comic as well...
Thank you for your video. I loved POWER RECORDS growing up.
Great as usual my friend
Awesome. I loved these. Thanks Chris. Lotta memories.
I loved these power records and it was great listening to them in my close 'n play record player. Those were the days.
I remember the Power Records imprint of Peter Pan Industries. In fact, I work with and was a friend of the founder's son Donald in the 90s. The company changed its name to inspired and moved its headquarters to Florida.
These were a MAJOR part of my childhood - STILL love them, even after forty-plus years. :D
Great choice! Loved these as a kid!
I love that Greg Land zoom at the beginning of the intro ^^
Wow very cool! I didn't know this was a thing back then. Now it really makes me wish we had something similar today. Great vid!
I had several of these when I was a kid. Spider-Man, Superman, Batman... They were great.
The artist of the book & record interior art and the Star Trek single cover art for "To Starve A Fleaver"
appears to have confused Lt. Uhura with Lt. Palmer (Played by Elizabeth Rogers) in the episodes "The Doomsday Machine" and "The Way To Eden"
But the artists of the back cover of the Star Trek Volume 1 album and the front cover of "The Crier In Emptiness" book and record more resembles Nichelle Nichols.
You guys should all check out Batman: the Audio Adventures
Some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time, I felt like I did when I was a kid watching the animated series.

I actually miss continuity comics, I loved loved LOVED Armor ... and the Silver Streak. I wish they would bring those two back
I liked Megalith and Captain Power & The Soldiers Of The Future.
Red Panda is a throwback radio show that has novels and comic books that tell new stories that fit in with the audio drama. They are produced by Decoder Ring Theatre and Monkey Brain Comics has printed and or distributed their stuff.
Those Star Wars radio plays with the original cast would be invaluable as sound tracks for creating a Star Wars animated series.
Great one, wish I still had my couple records from back in the day.
Great episode!!! Love your show!
I looked away for a bit, but when I heard Captain America and Phoenix in the same sentence my snapped back to the screen. I’m a huge Zemo fan.
1980's 'The Untold Legend Of The Batman' mini-series was produced along with what was in essence a radio play of the events of the series. It's available here on YT, at least the last time I checked.
Where did you get the old school comic rack? Ethan Van Sciver has one similar. Thats another artist you should review.
40 years later I still have my Batman and Star Trek power records. Love it
I know this is an old video, but I felt the need to comment.
I remember these, as young as I was they turned me into a Neal Adams fan. But they were awesome, all of them.
+ComicTropes Cable TV did exist in the 1970s. It just wasn't as affordable as it is now, so fewer people had it.
I've been flushing my shapely poo for years. Good to know its not valuable!
Always wondered about these obscure comics. Thanks again chris for saving me a trip to Google!
I had a small amount of these including the Batman/Manbat and Fantastic Four ones. The Mole Man story freaked me out!
Well they aren't readings of comics, but Marvel released a Deadpool audio play a few years ago and recently released a wolverine audio drama. DC has also made an audio drama, but it was a Batman audio drama with steve blum as Batman released only to the Navy.
I hope many of these are available to listen to download somewhere.
Google "Power Records Podcast" and you'll find a podcast that has many of them available for listening along with good discussion.
Some of them are even animated like Star Trek, Superman and G.I.Joe.
Record Tropes?
P.s. love the addition of the spinner rack to the set
I'm a bit late but Graphic Audio does full production stories for both Marvel and DC.
