I am bangal born and brought up in Assam. We are dhakaiya by origin even dhakaiya people's food are always on the more sweeter side. Specially the polau in a dhakaiya house are really sweet. It's not about bangal and goti. It is all about district from where they belong. Every district in East Bengal ( present day Bangladesh) and west Bengal has variation in food. Every district has different way of cooking the same recipe using different flavours.
I just liked Miss Pamela so much as your co host. Her generosity and eye expression shows how big food lover she is just after the food get served every time..
I have seen a lot of food vlogs, I don't know about the sweetest part, but I find the Punjabis a lot more hospitable, both in East n west Punjab. Again it's an opinion based on what I observed.

I really loved your extensive and enriching Kolkata or Calcutta series where you covered each and every part of the Cal cuisine. For most, food in Kolkata has been all about street food and authentic Bengali items but you covered all of the immigrant dishes which this city incorporated in her own cuisine in her own style. I loved the presentation of the videos and these are as enriching as your Old Delhi videos have been. Also, kudos to the ocean of knowledge Ms. Pamela, her knowledge about the places, and the cuisines are absolutely amazing. I would like to add a thing about the Golbari kosha mangsho, the mutton gravy is slow-cooked in real iron kadhai which adds up to the dark color of mutton. Thanks sir, can't wait to see more videos.
