Mancala always feels like playing a game that your older brother made up, and he's making the rules as he goes. "I landed here, so that means I get to go again... And see I landed here....so all your pieces are mine now."
I play a card game like that. Too many generally inconsequential rules that only come up in obscure circumstances to explain them all when you start, so it feels like you're making stuff up when playing with new people.
In my part of Germany we actually just call it "Chinesisches Schach" (Chinese chess) so I guess it varies. But I would definitely sign a petition to change it to Arnold's suggestion
I've lived on this earth/in germany for more than 20 years now and I honestly never knew the name of this game. I was always like "hey let's play that star game" lol
Yeah, I think they said once it's because they're getting older and for long recording sessions now they just need more back support than a couch can give them. So blame it on age lol
I have many fond memories of playing Mancala against myself as an only child. Though, I didn't know any of the fancy rules, so it was just sorring colorful stones into the pockets until one side won. It was a good way to ignore the socially debilitating loneliness. Glad you guys are playing these again!
The 2020 series of Clubhouse games is in the Game Grumps Hall of Fame for me, I hope they play more and try out games they didn't play the first time :D
I was playing TotK, and listening to the episode when Arin let out the scream. Immediately it made me jump, but after replaying the scream I laughed, and then replayed the scream a dozen times.
The best thing about ARIN is that he finds joy in even the simplest of things! 🤣🥰 His laugh is the absolute best. Thanks for showing us the picture Dan! 🥰
Oh my god I was hoping they'd return to Clubhouse 51 at some point! I hope they play more of the games on here as Vs. episodes, especially the odder games like Nine Men's Morris and Hares and Hounds.
13:33 oh god my anxiety shot through the roof when Arin pointed out that he should have gone for the single bead free turn, but then wavering and looking for another move when he had a two bead free turn
This kind of episode is my favorite, just hearing them ad lib over the relaxing instrumental loop (that makes me feel like I'm playing a VN), saying whatever random, off the cuff shit pops in their heads. 😂
Where I came from, we called the Mancala as 'Congkak'! Used to play it alot with my cousins during my childhood and seeing Arin and Dan playing it really makes me want to play it again :')
Clubhouse 51 is my favourite grump series, I'm so happy that I could relax and watch this today. The fart joke at the end really got me too, great job boys
This episode had everything: a horrible realization caused by facial hair, Dan being unable to stop singing, and Arin losing his mind over a fart sound. Also "we'll be back tomorrow because our life is a treadmill"
It makes me so happy when dan sings his words to the tune of whatever background music for the entire video, as someone with oc who is doing the exact same thing, i feel a lot less alone :,D
I have to say, these are some of my favorite videos. The strategy you guys employ while fucking around is just a perfect combo. Hope we get some more of these videos soo!
Arin and Dan here is some history of Chinese checkers The current game was invented in Germany in 1892 under the name “Stern-Halma” as a variation of the older American game Halma. The “Stern” (German for star) refers to the board's star shape. It can be played by two, three, four, or six people, playing individually or with partners.
It is so funny that I just screamed at my screen when Arin didn't take his free five in mancala. The fact that I got so invested in mancala of all things in this day and age is just the best.
Can we get some late 90’s/ early 2000’s windows cereal box gameplay? Chutes and ladders, Pajama Sam, candy land? We shall call it; *games we played when we were relentless, reckless and rentless*
Every time Arin says "LFG" my brain immediately registers it as "Looking For Group" and I get very confused. I wonder if anyone actually uses it for "Let's F-ing Go" or if this is just his new quirky thing to say.
Would honestly love to see you guys try hanafuda koi-koi again, it's really not that hard of a game to learn, simple trick, you match by the flowers on the cards, cherry blossoms match to cherry blossoms ect, and theres 4 "groups" you need to worry about, your "lights" or high value cards like the lady with the umbrella, the crane, and the moon, then the animal cards, self explanatory, next is your scrolls, the ones with text on them are poetry scrolls, last you have your chaff, or any card that has a value of 1, these cards just have flowers and nothing else on them, figure out which cards are lights and your good to go basically, just keep playing it! I bought a deck and learned how to play koi-koi from seeing you guys do the episode.
This is the first video I've watched today and it helped set a great tone for my day. I really needed that and that's why I love yalls videos! We hope YALL have a great day!❤️
All is right with the world once again. Especially after that mouthfart into the palm at the end which sounded suspiciously like that reverb fart from the soundboard

@@dripsoup6639 That sounds amazing?? What game is it?
@@anyatheile Canasta. And to make matters worse, I'm pretty sure every group who plays it plays with different rules.

I love watching games where theyre both trying so hard to concentrate so Dan ends up singing and Arin ends up yelling random shit
I'm 3 minutes in and already your comment is exactly how I feel
Game Grumps could be just Clubhouse games and game shows like Wheel of Fortune and I'd be satisfied.
"Meow meow meow meow"🎶
It's so accurate!
Dan, singing: "Dan's on top!"
Arin: *raspberries*
SHID!!!
I vowed that whatever episode came out today I would watch with my cat and relax. Blessed be that it's literally one of my most favorite series.
Nice! Have a good one ♥️
My day was slightly ruined by the comments- glad to see one of them is not a copy paste bot. Take my like and enjoy your cat time.
Did your cat like the episode?
This is a vibe
LFG
Can’t believe they didn’t end up singing “kiss your dad”
Like it’s even the right amount of syllables
They were close, with "k*ll your dad" 😂
Arin's donald duck "oo wah-ah-ah-ah" took me the FUCK out it triggered my asthma, god bless these chill clubhouse vids LMAOOO
For anyone who is looking for it it's 29:03
@@ronnieh.1883hero
I never knew how much I missed Dan's mindless singing along to the Mancala music until this moment
Mew mew mew
It's called Sternhalma in German, but Arin's IKEA name for it is good too
i prefer the Ikea variant. it sounds more german.
@@AnnaCurser ironic lol
In my part of Germany we actually just call it "Chinesisches Schach" (Chinese chess) so I guess it varies. But I would definitely sign a petition to change it to Arnold's suggestion
also why is it called chinese checkers if it was invented by Ravensburger in Germany?
I've lived on this earth/in germany for more than 20 years now and I honestly never knew the name of this game. I was always like "hey let's play that star game" lol
This whole time I thought Arin and Dan were couch gaming, but they be e-sports chilling in desk chairs.
Ya I'm a it disappointed honestly gone are the days of them basically sitting on eachothers laps and just constantly in eachothers spaces
They are... *GOOD GAMERS*
Yeah, I think they said once it's because they're getting older and for long recording sessions now they just need more back support than a couch can give them. So blame it on age lol
The return of beloved classic Clubhouse 51 Games, love to see it
I love how Dan's margin of victory in Mancala just kept growing larger with each game. XD
He has a history of being generally superior to Arin when challenging him to board games involving strategy.
Game Grumps is kind of like my food alarm clock, they motivate me to get up and get something to eat.
Stay hydrated too king.
@@anthonybalista7421 thanks you too bro
what you gonna eat? I'm making tacos
I’m eating a peanut butter sandwich with chips
Pavlov’s Grumps
oh my goodness, i need to see an animated of Arin freaking out about the fart noise at the end. and if there isn’t one, i’ll make it myself.
Did you ever find one?
Arin constantly de-vancing on his goal of ultimately winning a Chinese Checkers match almost made him lose his marbles.
And then he lost his marbles when they played Mancala.
Get it? Cause he-
Ba-Doum Psh!
I will always laugh at the fact that Arin can turn the most relaxing game into a stressful competition
I have many fond memories of playing Mancala against myself as an only child. Though, I didn't know any of the fancy rules, so it was just sorring colorful stones into the pockets until one side won. It was a good way to ignore the socially debilitating loneliness.
Glad you guys are playing these again!
My favorite episodes are the ones where the boys just play board games and Arin yells a lot
I like the part where they play board games for a loooooooong time!
33:00 Never a fart noise got me laughing so quick. It was an intense one
I think the same applies to Arin. 😆
The 2020 series of Clubhouse games is in the Game Grumps Hall of Fame for me, I hope they play more and try out games they didn't play the first time :D
They said the word "clean" so many times.
@@mattjenkin2884Heh heh, NICE! (clean)
The random "Damn it Gary, act!" at 27:40 from Team America got me so good. Out of left field
"I think some of these are new..." "nah"
"Times played: 0"
I think Dan's right lol
DANNY WINS!
Oh boy, I love club 51 games with the boys
I love Dan's hug disguised as his voice, the silly songs, and bff energy 💖
you guys and your friendship is so goddamned wholesome and i love it and literally gives me hope for the planet
That pants-peeing bit is definitely the hardest I’m going to have laughed today.
I love whenever they play boardgames like this. Weekend saved
I love it when they play mancala.
The calming clatter of the stones coupled with their mindless yammering soothes the soul.
It's not often that I laugh myself to tears over a Game Grumps clip, but 32:59 just obliterated me. Thanks guys lmao
Arin's joke scream of rage at 28:14 makes me laugh every time
I was playing TotK, and listening to the episode when Arin let out the scream. Immediately it made me jump, but after replaying the scream I laughed, and then replayed the scream a dozen times.
32:58 Arin will never loose his child like whimsy and I'm so glad 🤣
I like the one where they Say "Arin can't wint at Chinese Checkers" then they play Mancala the whole video
Arin’s joy brings me joy.
please do as many clubhouse 51 games as you possibly can. these are literally the best videos!
I"m so glad that background data downloaded successfully, I was reaely worried for a moment there.
Dan, that really was an incredible Reverb Fart(TM) to be done off the cuff like that. Ya gotta give it to him.
13:33 oh god my anxiety shot through the roof when Arin pointed out that he should have gone for the single bead free turn, but then wavering and looking for another move when he had a two bead free turn
Dan with the trash talk! "Oh arin you forgot how to play huh?" *Steals 7 stones*
This kind of episode is my favorite, just hearing them ad lib over the relaxing instrumental loop (that makes me feel like I'm playing a VN), saying whatever random, off the cuff shit pops in their heads. 😂
the moments when arin laughs super hard and dan has to point out "the look of joy on his face" >>>>> shit makes me happy
Where I came from, we called the Mancala as 'Congkak'! Used to play it alot with my cousins during my childhood and seeing Arin and Dan playing it really makes me want to play it again :')
This is so sad. I hope he can jump his way to victory some day
He did the first time they played.
I truly love when you guys do card/board games and especially clubhouse games.
Arin losing is my schadenfreude-induced serotonin.
If you didn’t watch until the end, you’ll never know the glorious sound that was made
I've 100% convinced myself that the sole reason we learned Mancala in school was to make us more efficient at getting change out of a register drawer.
I love these Clubhouse 51 episodes so much, I hope they play every game atleast once eventually
Chinese checkers and mancala were my childhood, it's so nostalgic and great to see Arin and Dan play them ☺️☺️
Clubhouse 51 is my favourite grump series, I'm so happy that I could relax and watch this today. The fart joke at the end really got me too, great job boys

28:13 i was just chilling with a nice calm video before bed and this made me burst into laughter lmao
Leave it to a well timed Fart to leave Arin in shambles from laughing so hard, well done.
26:28 Danny wins by 10 points (34-14=20 /2 = 10 stones in his favor), which is funnily enough the size of the pocket that Arin had blundered earlier
I FREAKING LOVE WHEN THEY PLAY THESE they’ve taught me about sports and board games all while full of beans and it’s awesome
Wish they would play shogi for that reason alone.
Love how a simple fart sound can make Arin get red in the face from laughing.
Times are crazy but glad I can chill and listen to the Grumps have fun. They always make me laugh and smile. Thank you for still going strong!
Look out for Sbassbear’s next big hit: “I’m Eating Sausages”!
29:03 the deep breath and random donald duck sound had me cackling
Arin: I'm not thinking during mancala
Dan:umm aren't you supposed to think while you play this?
I just can’t ever not click on a video like this- the Chinese checker games were one of the best GG bits ever.
A lot of ADHD going around the room here ~ You guys always make me giggle! ❤
seeing the picture of arin made me laugh far more, he has just such a beautiful laughing face
This reminds me so strongly of the summer of 2020, when these playthroughs were one of the few things that keep me sane. Thanks guys!
Arins enjoyment in the final moments of this episode is fantastic. I love you guys.
It makes me so happy when dan sings his words to the tune of whatever background music for the entire video, as someone with oc who is doing the exact same thing, i feel a lot less alone :,D
Who else laughed uncontrollably at the Donald Duck bit?
I have to say, these are some of my favorite videos. The strategy you guys employ while fucking around is just a perfect combo. Hope we get some more of these videos soo!
Arin's laughter after blowing that raspberry is going to be my treasure for the rest of days. :D
Chinese checkers was my grandma’s favorite board game!! She loved to challenge me when I was super young and then cheat. She was a silly lady.
24:06-24:11
This is a serious fight. Hope Arin & Dan are still cool after this one.

The vibes of these vids are immaculate
Man when these were dropping times were different but I’m glad you’re playing these again. Danny explained it the best.
I was an essential worker so I binged Game Grumps during my breaks over the Reunion Tour
Man I love clubhouse games and they always calm me down. Except for the mandala one. I was like “NO ARIN PLEASE STOP MAKING THESE MOVES”
Chinese Checkers is called Sternhalma in german, literally translating to "star halma".
The only thing more joyous than pulling off a palm fart is pulling off a real one 🤣
I've got a cold right now so thinking is an ordeal, and Dan and Arin switching players confused the shit out of me

that fart sound you guys made even made me laugh
