This is my favourite game of all time, me and my mate used to play this for hours on end. Got it on my modded wii now so can play it again 20 years later!
Another top video and great memories of playing this. Final Whistle and Return to Europe bit harder than KO2 as hoofing the ball forward didn't work as much. geoffwright77 is correct - P.Quasimodo was indeed a reference to Peter Beardsley - heard Arsenal fans singing 'there's only one Quasimodo' to him!
Poor Peter. :oP Thanks rdw1970. Much appreciated. The Goal Keepers AI is a bit more advanced since Player Manager. Both top games though. Heaps of fun.
Still Bloody love KO2 and all the incarnations, but playing the Amiga variants under the WinUAE emulator on an i7 laptop is somewhat more convenient than on my Atari ST connected to an old 12" TV via SCART. For full on fun and still engaging modern day realism then has to be Player Manger with the third party editor/hack!
Great series of games. The amount of seasons I played on Player Manager was ridiculous. My on-field player got to be over 100 years old at one point. Haha! Thanks Mick! 😀👍
I remember I once managed to foul a goalkeeper and he had to go off injured. It only happened once in all the years I played Kick Off 2 and I'm sure it was just a glitch but it did happen. I got really passed off cos nobody believed me lol!
geoffwright77 That's a weird one. I certainly believe you. I remember once, for some reason the opposing team had 2 goalkeepers and they kept either throwing it to each other or out of play. One off once in a lifetime glitches, gotta love them. :)
Shame that I never had Amiga so those original Kick Off is missed opportunity for me. I had MSX, C64, many PCs, PS2 and so on... but no Amiga... Amiga and Atari version was only real Kick Off "nirvana". My friend own Player Manager (Amiga) and I always wish, please PC version too ! but that never materialized.

+dpw81 Outstanding! I'm keeping my eye close on Dino Dini's 'Kick Off Revival' that he's working on. Could be epic !! :oD
One of my favorite football games ever. So dynamic and exciting, when you score the goal you are real proud of yourself. :)
Most definitely! What a classic this game is. 😀👍
Thoroughly enjoyed this and your commentary was funny especially on the icy pitched down to six players lol brilliant stuff.
Ace! Love a bit of Kick Off. Thanks Choicey! 😀😀😀👍⭐️
Thanks for this video, it brought so much great memories back to me !
I would give quite a bit of money for an Amiga 500 and Kick off 2 !
You're most welcome CF! Spent so many hours on these Kick Off games. Great great times !!! :oD

Yeah we, my brother and me absolutely loved that game !
Nice upgrade, I especially like the classic players being included. Law for Scotland, Charlton for England, Di Stefano for Spain etc.
I need to play this again. Thanks for reminding me gumdeo! The real names really lift it. :oD
Some of the features were superb!
Indeed they were. Such a good expansion.
Still have my Amiga 600. Not 500. My kick off's and many other games. No screen. Sadly.
Great to still own your original system. Nostalgia city!

I think P.Quasimodo was referring to Peter Beardsley mate.
geoffwright77 That's rather unfair on Quasimodo.

I scored the worlds best free kick on that game ever.... Fact :-)
Dustin Comperat Did you bend it in 6 different directions while juggling with chainsaws? My Left Back does this regularly.
No I preloaded the kick with height.. The ball went so high it looked like it was coming out of the screen the dipped last moment to beat the keeper..
Dustin Comperat You are correct, that is the worlds best free kick on that game ever. That must have looked awesome! :oD
Remember it well I bought it from WH Smiths
Great stuff. Was a top data disk.
Hallo, in the League or Cup how I can change C (computer) in JS1 to choose a team?thanks
Hi TheMisterMirko. Think you hit either F1 or F2. :o)
@@Njenkin thanks!!
Good expansion disk.
The difficulty level was upped a bit. On 2 player it is pretty hectic.
Kick Off always had the music and crowd noises even back in 1990 when I first played it. They're not new features at all.

Spent so many hours on Kick Off 2 World Cup. Probably my most played game of that era. Loved it to bits.
It was amazing till then there was another when you could be a player manager playing years in to a career moving soooo slow
Certainly had mileage this series.
