Please don’t ever stop making music, one of the very few bands that consistently make the reminisce about when I was young , without a care in the world, just living life in the moment. Y’all are amazing and I appreciate you all and the music that has entered my life.
The best thing about Good Kid is they always have a sad, broken feeling, but their music could always be interpreted as uplifting. They could sound sad and broken, or happy and a push forward, depending on who listens, and what they want to feel.
The trumpets sound like a more jazzy version of the lyrics "this can't be the end" from Summer.

Spotify updates its play count very rarely, maybe once per 24 hours or something? So when a song releases, it'll say something like 1000 or other low numbers for a few days before it starts showing proper numbers.

As someone who stays in Premier Inns a hell of a lot, I LOVE IT! I find it hilarious you’ve used Premier Inn as a song lyric and name, it’s genius-ly hilarious.
I know this could be a stretch, but i think verse 2’s like about walls remaining is a reference to everything everything’s chorus “i know that it will fall, the crumbling walls”.

i think this song is about a protagonist with a partner/friend who chooses to be confined to one specific area or thing, something that was often socially accepted in the community. however our protagonist here decides to venture out to the other hallways, but the string(time) he has left is minimal and he starts to be driven to insanity from the continuous walls and duplicate patterns
