      @@kennyking4050 In 1982 I was 13 years old and listening to your music. One particular memory I have is getting on the public bus from Anaheim to Newport Beach, spending the afternoon with brothers and friends at the beach, checking out the girls and hearing The Warrior on our portable radio. Other memorable bands included Fleetwood Mac, Motley Crue, Ratt, Iron Maiden, The Police. So much good music came from the 80s. Admittedly, I appreciate the music more now than I did when I was a kid. Thanks for the memories.

      Mr. McEnroe is, without doubt, THE luckiest man on earth. Patty is still a very talented, well rounded, and intelligent, woman.
      I’m. Really impressed with her ability to make so much of her continued success & with her strong marriage.
      As much as I’d like to be the one she married, I have to say “good luck kids” to she & Mr. McEnroe.

      Honestly, we were mostly buying tapes until the *mid* 80's, really. "Born in the USA" was the first CD released in '84, but most people just bought the tape, as record stores didn't really start getting CD's until late '84/'85 in a big way. It was sort of a novelty until around '85.

    • @bongodave13
      @bongodave13 2 месяца назад +3

      @@redadamearth I would record CDs so I could play them in the car. Car CD players became more common as the decade went on. I didn't have a factory standard CD player in my car until I bought a '17 Fiesta ST. I only use it on road trips, but it sounds better than the phone. I still get CDs of music I want for road trips. I've got all the Doors albums, and lots of other good stuff. Working on Motown now. You can't even buy a new car with a CD player now. It's all on the phone now.

      You meant cassettes, and to touch on what "redadamearth" said, it didn't matter when a certain cd was released, nor does it matter when cd's in general were released, cd's stayed a novelty pretty much for the entire decade, that's because a cd would cost over $20 while the same exact album would cost $6.99 at Tower Records.

    The late Frankie LaRocka played drums in the 1st song, Goodbye to You. But after that and the 1st album, he joined Bryan Adams to tour with him in 1983. LaRocka quit and was replaced by Pat Steward, who still is the drummer for BA in 2024. RIP FL.
