I believe you are the first to actually video tape what is actually like to be on the other side of the table. It’s interesting to see from the perspective of the seller interacting with many potential buyers. Well done Chris!
Just started watching your videos, very cool. I'm down in Florida and my wife and I would sell vintage things at our flea market once a month. We would get there like at 5am pretty much still dark and set up and the other vendors and people would swam our table. We couldn't get it out of the car fast enough. It was like we were " fresh meat " lol. IMHO comics are really cool but most of the time you buy, read and put it in a box, where as a toy can be displayed in almost any room. Like the couple that brought the lunch box for their kitchen. Maybe that's why people are going for the toys more. Sorry for the ramble! Peace!
It's nice that you do this with your dad. These are memories you will have forever, and maybe do one day with your own kids. Did you find that vendors besides Dolph purchased from you, too?
Flea market caters to the regular weekly vendors, if you are a newbie seller, yes you have to arrive at 3am. Regulars have normal assigned spots even. Beware!
Nice video-I got a good sense of what was happening at the flea market and a great wrap-up at the end with what you learned. I feel sorry for everyone on that hot blacktop. They should let you use the GIants practice bubble. You and your Dad need to buy a shade tent pronto. :) How does the Meadowlands Fair affect the flea market?
Superb Video Chris or should I say CGL I too have a great sense of what was happening at the Flea Market in New Jersey and what you did at the end.also your talk about what you did at The Flea Market was quite remarkable and your selling some of your good stuff and Collectibles are outstanding, also your videos are incredible as well, also thank you for sharing Chris keep up the superb work stay safe out there and I hope you and your family have a wonderful day.🙂👍👊💪🇺🇲🦸⚖️🏋️😍😁
😎It was a start BH , a little rough but gave you a battle plan for future set ups. It's true about early customers , especially if they're familiar with a vendor they buy from. You go to them first then look around then by 9-930 out enjoying the rest of the day. Like you experienced sometimes a person just happened to go that day and saw an item of interest and wanted to get it because they're not regular flea market visitors. You just never know what a person is interested in and who will show up the day you're there. I've wandered around flea markets in the past and was happily surprised to find a vendor who had items I was interested in. Its great that you'll be part of a triangle with the other two vintage sellers and that you'll be in a better location.
There will be future seller videos and after going through this I think I'll be able to put a better video together next time. It's always fun interacting with people and talking about collectibles. Some of the guys there had some amazing stories. Thank you for the support!
Ha nice, same kinda hat I wear when I sell at the Newcastle flea market. I've been every other Sunday. On another topic, I found 2 vintage duckpin balls at a Goodwill by the pound, cool find I thought you'd appreciate.
Curious was the land of the giants lb original or repro from g whiz? I have no affliation with the monthly Wayne pal show, but much better off and people. After all this is the soprano state and yes fact tho it happens at most shows, but Meadowlands has professional flipper vendors that buy you out to sell same day or list on eBay by Saturday night.
@@CGL_Collectibles yes that is why I don't go anymore, the collectibles business has just become like money laundering. House clean up trucks with crap dumped on pavement.

Really appreciate this comment! I hope to make better quality videos in the future.

Welcome to the channel and thank you for the insightful comment! I think much of what you said is spot on!
I like the box of frute brute in the background.

Really enjoy your channel! Love the Flea Mkt. Adventures. Keep up the good work!

Yup.

Thank you! The fair has little to no affect on the flea market. Agreed on the tent!
Good seeing you on Saturday. Too bad you didn’t have a better day selling. Better luck the rest of the month.
Good seeing you, too. Thank you!
You need a BIG sign that says COMICS & COLLECTIBLES! in BIG RED letters.

Thank you Steven! This was a rough draft, but the next one will be better. I'm very appreciative for all your support!

Great video! I'll be shopping at the Meadowlands this Saturday. I'll stop by and say hello!
Looks like a wash out, unfortunately. If it rains I, along with many others will not be there. Thank you for the support.
Like the hat.
Thank you!

The lunchbox was original. Yeah, it's very competitive here at Meadowlands.

👍👍
I truly think that being in the last row hurt you a bit, next week will be better ;)
Heard it might be a wash out. Either way, next time will be better for sure!
As a CPA, I would advise, do not say "not taxable".
You're right.
No video?
It wouldn’t let me play it either.
First I'm hearing of this. Were ever able to get it to work?
Just wondering if it was worth it to be there all day for only $300
Hi it's me again where do you go for food at the flea market?.
There are lots of food trucks and produce stands that set up there!
Setting up at 8:30 a.m. always sucks and they give you lousy spot pathetic
Yup.
I think a better spot would have helped your sales.
Agreed.
Do you have any long boxes of comics that you can sell per box?
Not prepared, but we can probably make up some boxes.
Out of curiosity how much are you asking for the Eagle 1? 😕
I was asking $80. It does have the landing gear, but the rest is just the skeleton.
They still charge 100 dollars for a space.?
$105 now
Nice hat.
Thank you!
Would love to have learned what you sold for how much. Just sayin
Next time I do a seller video I'll do a better job. This was a rough draft lol.
what flea market is this?
NJ Meadowlands Flea Market.
How much is the fee to sell at the flea market?
$105... It's ridiculous.
@@CGL_Collectibles thats crazy. You have to sell 105$ at pure profit not including labor and gas. Hang in there dude!
