the company is not responding as why they made them and none are for sale online....im thinking gifts for the guests.
Wedding souvenirs are just that. I have a crystal bell I bought at St Paul’s Cathedral. It is for Princess Diana’s wedding to King Charles. I’m sure it’s only important to me because I had so much respect for Diana. I have a Red Book type program for Queen Elizabeth’s wedding to Prince Phillip. I even found a piece from Queen Victoria’s wedding. I sure wouldn’t want the ones you have. Although it might say Wales as a last name because Harry and Meghan were given the Sussex name after they married. Souvenirs had to be made way ahead of the wedding.
Prince Harry did use the surname of Wales while serving in the Military and was given the title Duke of Sussex on his wedding Day... The title is correct as it was used before his wedding when the items were made...
Absolutely not wedding gifts.

That’s Royal Brierley Crystal, it’s made in Brierley Hill in the West Midlands that’s in the U.K. if you didn’t know. They weren’t wedding gifts, they were made as a commemorative item to mark the occasion.

They are just normal gifts manufactured for a royal wedding. These things are made to commemorate royal weddings, jubilee’s and coronations. They’re not exclusive to wedding guests but sold to the general public like a coronation mug (I have lots!( They’re not worth a great deal.

Harry used the last name Wales. Probably why it says Henry of Wales. Someone from NY bought them in England.

Get rid of them!!! Bad luck
Apologies, there's a problem with the inscription because Price Henry ( Harry ) is not the Prince of Wales.
Prince Harry's name is actually Henry, and his full, official title is Prince Henry of Wales. The official Prince of Wales is Prince Charles, who has held the title since 1958, but his sons, William and Harry, have also held versions of it.

May 17, 2018
Was Prince Charles. When he became King, the title Prince of Wales passed automatically to William as next heir to the throne. When William becomes King, it passes to George, and so on down the male line. @@billyleroy2465
We must have found the same website. It made me laugh that they had to reduce the price 81% to get rid of them!!!
The RF have special china etc crafted for each wedding to pull out on 25th anniversary, for example-- all pieces are stored away. These H&M pieces likely decorated tables.. evidently not something anyone wants to relive or celebrate.
As an English person, let me explain: Before Elizabeth the 2nd died Charles was the Prince of Wales. Before marriage, Charles' sons, William and Harry have also held versions of that title. Harry's full title was His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and William used the same format until he was given the formal title His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge when he married Kate Middleton. After Harry married he was given the title the Duke of Sussex by the Queen. It's complicated but that is the explanation of why Harry is being called the Prince of Wales on these items.
Great explanation thank you. Does that now mean that Prince George's full title is His Royal Highness Prince George of Wales, and ditto for Charlotte and Louis? And can you please tell me if the Prince and Princess titles can be removed from the Sussex children once Prince William becomes King, as they will no longer be grandchildren of the King. Cheers. 🇳🇿
At the time Charles was Wales bc he was THE Prince of Wales as the Queen's heir. Prince William's kids became Cambridge's by title and now that Charles is king, William as his heir is the Prince of Wales & Catherine THE Princess of Wales. Camilla was actually THE Princess of Wales when she married Charles but forbidden to use the title out of respect for Diana. Although when Diana died she was no longer THE Princess of Wales just Princess of Wales.
@@bluemoon5662 Harry needs to be removed from the Line of succession and so does Andrew. Charles shouldn't have issued the kids' titles but he's weak. My guess is that MEgain sent letters from their attorneys demanding the titles. Both kids already had courtesy titles from Harry---Dumbarton & Kilkiel but she refused to allow the kids to use them. She wanted the P's. Thankfully they aren't HRH!!!

Don't forget there were American Guests at the Wedding so that may explain why these crystal items ended up in NYC. Royal Brierley is a fine-cut glass brand now owned by Dartington Glass in N.Devon where I grew up. It would make sense they were given as Guest presents as Prince Charles (now the King) issued a Royal Warrant. Bigger the order cheaper the cost !

@@karmad4491 UK laws are different to US laws. In the US it's the marriage licence and signing the register that authorises the marriage. In the UK, no marriage licence is required, signing the register only provides proof that the marriage occurred, it is the actual spoken vows that authorise the marriage, that is why correct and full names MUST be used.
Nobody official is going to show up and tell them to get married all over again.
More concerning is Lilibet's birth certificate which has Harry's name as father being 'Duke of Sussex'.California law being Harry's full birth name needs to be on that certificate that being 'Henry Charles Albert David'.Lilibet that not only Meghan didn't birth, but is in fact Hartford Schroeder in the photos by Misan Harriman. @@Chris-rz7xiNo it's not. It's the Registry that makes it legal. It's why you have to produce such documents as birth certificates, or marriage certificates as proof when applying for government type stuff like passports, state pensions, etc. If it was the spoken vows which counted, the Diana and Charles wouldn't have been legally married as Diana spoke Prince Philip's name instead of Charles'.
