I looked at that pile before you did Chris. The books were falling apart. He knows nothing about condition and values. My offer was alot lower then yours. ANY REPUTABLE dealer lets the customer look at the books prior to purchasing.

I went to Tampa comic con in 1993 and 1994. That's when valiant and image books were big bucks. Stan Lee was at one of them and gave a few free autos for every dealer who rented a table.

Ive been going to flea markets for more than 30 years. Stay away from these kinds of people. They are scammers. Merch is probably all stolen too

Always ask to have the other person pull it out of the bag prior to making a deal. Brittle comics are nobody's fault except whoever kept them in that shitty condition. But if the seller had the wrong size sleeve, it causes issues too. If you bought the stuff than the deal is done. Just don't buy from him again. It will be a rocky relationship after he acted that way, especially if he knew the comics were brittle to begin with.

First mistake is buying crap like that.

I say never deal with that person ever again and that is all I have to say.

Also take a closer look at the back of the card. There's an error. That's Bob the Joker's Goon's Toy description. It's actually pretty rare. 👍
