Ive been going to flea markets for more than 30 years. Stay away from these kinds of people. They are scammers. Merch is probably all stolen too

Always ask to have the other person pull it out of the bag prior to making a deal. Brittle comics are nobody's fault except whoever kept them in that shitty condition. But if the seller had the wrong size sleeve, it causes issues too. If you bought the stuff than the deal is done. Just don't buy from him again. It will be a rocky relationship after he acted that way, especially if he knew the comics were brittle to begin with.

First mistake is buying crap like that.

I say never deal with that person ever again and that is all I have to say.

The cross and the switchblade is the comic book version of a film from 1970 with Pat Boone and Erik Estrada. It was based on a boook with the same name.

Also take a closer look at the back of the card. There's an error. That's Bob the Joker's Goon's Toy description. It's actually pretty rare. 👍

You are correct-next time let the seller take it out of the bag. If the seller doesn’t want to take it out of the bag, then the price should be less.

Agree about South Park. I always thought it is the superior cartoon compared to the others (simpsons, futurama, family guy, etc). Simpsons was always my least favorite.

Me personally as a comic book collector I have the seller pull the comic book out the bag and hand it to me comic book 101 I'm inspecting that book. You have to make sure no pages are missing certain era of comics have the value stamps. There's a lot of scammers in dishonest people out there be weary an absolutely check every comic book if you're spending good money

This is why I never take anyone's books out of bags when I want to see them. Let them do that. But...you made the deal, you should have honored it. Next time, maybe don't be so anxious to drop a number. See the warning signs, and know when to walk away.
