Don’t do no grout in the bathroom. Do a super small tile line but a small one. Put it in and seal the grout and you’ll be better off. Marci is right about smelly things getting down between the cracks otherwise.
Marci... be careful with your instant pot at the end of the counter with the plug hanging down.. Maverick could pull on the cord and bring the pot down on himself or one of the babies !! I would hate to see one of those sweet angels injured !!
I like the last lay out for the bathroom tile, my suggestion he backsplash is the white or even black ( the black will show water and such more though) tile in the herringbone, They have different textures on subway tile if you don't want just a plain tile. I did a backsplash with a color in my kitchen when I redid it 10 years ago, now I wish I hadn't, I'm kind of stuck with that color now. Just my thought on it though. Happy remodeling :)
Having the cabinets onsite is one step closer to having them in the kitchen. The bathroom will be another long renovation, but getting all the supplies ahead of time should shorten the time it takes. And the little shed looks almost brand new with the new coat of paint!💖💖💖
Just be thankful you could have to deal with my Mother. She saw a picture in a magazine of a white tile with black diamonds hand cut in each corner. The installer agreed to do it but had never tried to do something like it before. Unfortunately for them they vastly underestimated the amount of work and underbid the job. Thankfully that was 60 years ago and I was not a contractor yet otherwise I think I would have been stuck with the job. ❤
We did white cabinets, matte black hardware, white/gray marble quartz countertops a dark gray island and medium gray large subway tile with a wavy surface instead of smooth for the backsplash.😊
Definitely do a double vanity and do the tile the last option. It makes the bathroom looks wider. Plus a wider vanity will make less flooring to cover. Unless your tiling under the vanity which would be nice as well.
Do the 1st layout of the bath tile with the invisible grout line. Use black grout or dark gray and seal it. For the kitchen, use black knobs or brushed silver. The gold will conflict with the black and silver appliances and sink.
Teach your boys to clean up their own pee from the toilet rim and floor. They will be more careful that way. Definitely grout and seal whichever way you decide to lay the tile. Love the chosen tile!
Hi guys, I personally like the tiles placed like Marci suggested and will definitely make the bathroom seem wider, sorry Crandell lol I'm so excited for you both, your home is looking absolutely beautiful xxx
Tile parallel to the hallway and perpendicular to the tub and vanity is my vote for the boys bathroom floor. Black hardware on the white cabinets really pops better than the gold would. As for the backsplash white behind white would make it too sterile in my opinion. So you do need your pop of color or a tinted neutral. The backsplash breaks up your cabinets. But I say do what ya’ll can live with. We as your subscribers have our opinions and ideas, but we don’t live with it day to day. We just get to enjoy your videos and personally I don’t always notice too much in the house unless you point it out. I am too busy watching those precious boys and being entertained by the interactions between you two. God bless you all!
I just realized who you two remind me of. It was a show called Green Acres that ran from 1965-1971. He was a novice farmer, and she was a city girl. It was a cute and endearing show. You two just remind me of that cute couple.
I like the last option best (3rd). I have a black and white master bathroom but choice and I hate my black floor tile. I will just say... I love baby powder after my shower!!! Just be ready tomorrow vacume or sweep it daily. It's going to be awesome 👍!!! Add a brighter color with the black. Like if you pick blue then pick powder blue. I haven't gold faucet's in my master bathroom and I would Never Ever Hey Them Again!!! They just seem to need a lot of special cleaning. Doing great You Two 💕!!! Western Upstate NY here
I like the floor tiles laid vertical too. And for the kitchen backsplash, I've been trying to decide on something too and I've bounced from thin brick, to travertine or limestone, to subway tiles and then I saw a porceline tile that looks like brick...sooo...I'm anxious to see what you guys decide on. 😀
Buying stuff on sale is definitely the way to go guys. I agree with Marci on the tile layout, as the bathroom is long and skinny, the tiles laid door to back wall will only accentuate the length and decrease the look of the width but laid side to side does the opposite. I would suggest white for the backsplash, you can always paint over white if needs be, it is easy to do.
I had white pearlescent glass chevron tile backsplash pit in my kitchen. It turned out absolutely beautiful. If I had to do it again I would do the same thing. It is very elegant!.
Thanks. I like the last laying of the tile. As for backsplash haven’t got the picture of your kitchen in my head yet except white so I don’t think white backsplash.
Hi Crandall , Marci and boys I am so excited to see y'all got a new video up 😊 I am so excited for you Marci , to have your she shed done !!!! I am so happy y'all got your kitchen cabinets at your house and I know Crandall , will do a excellent job installing them once he gets the painting done . I am so excited you are getting the flooring for the bathroom. Y'all's house is so beautiful and gorgeous and amazing so proud of y'all . Sending lots and lots of hugs , love , blessings , and countless prayers for y'all 🙏🏻 ❤️
I liked the way Marci wants the tile and yes grout and seal. I'm glad you're going with the black hardware in the kitchen. What about a black and white back splash?
Warning to all FARMERS: A good friend of mine works with the CSIRO here in Australia in the sciences/environment department, he said farmers right now need to stock up on a much food as possible if they rely on feeding grain to a animals even if they invest in large silos. The reason being is what is coming in regards to extreme heat, floods etc along with no fields in Ukraine being allowed to harvest or grow crops due to the war along with the main port of odesa being bombed daily. Poland is wiping out massive pine plantations in the hope of being able to have more land to grow crops. Food prices are going to more than triple in price. When you look at the amount of food that has wheat, barley, oats, etc in them and the loss of, more than a quarter of the worlds stocks it’s going to get crazy. Most stocks are going to go to places like Africa and Indonesia he said as they rely on it more, which will only push up prices at home even further. He has even suggested at growing as much crops at home as you can and cutting them and making silage pits. A silage pit is when you dig a trench in the ground and bury the crop to be used later. There is more to it, but google silage grain pits. Silo’s will also more than double in prices due to the amount of demand to get hold of one or more. The time for panic is over, it’s time to react positive he said. Be greedy now. He has also said, stock up on rice due to the flooding we are seeing in China plus what is coming in regards to weather world wide. Rice can be stored for ever if you treat it. Freeze it for 48 hours kills the bugs already in all rice harvest. Seal it in Mylan bags. He showed me photos which he would be in a lot of trouble for, if the right people found out but they were of large trenches being dug near pine gap Australia and shipping containers of preserved food, like flour, rice, salt and millions of tons of grain are being buried in controlled environment ways. He said there are a lot of other sites being prepared as well in every state of Australia, this is why we are seeing a lot more trucks on our roads. It’s scaring the hell out of me as I am not prepared by I am older but if this helps younger people, now is the time to purchase, prep, prepare and preserve as much food as you can. DON’T WASTE another minute thinking about it. If you do it right, it’s an investment anyways, as it will be used anyway. Either by you eating it, or your animals.
The bathroom floor looks best the way Marci said, and the way you laid it down the third way, it makes the room look bigger / wider 👍👍👍 I would personally not choose a white backsplash because everey single little drop, stain, dot and spot will show so you have to wipe it off every single time you so much as poor a glass of water 😅🙂
Back splash must match with the counter tops. We have a small kitchen and are back splash is large marble colour tiles 24” x 24” (light grey marble) Since you counter tops are solid colour than you could go with marble pattern on the walls. Subway tiles are cheap and nice but so common. Putting a bright colour is hit or miss and you may get sick of it quite fast.
You need to look at the design of tile on the bathroom floor that will have the least grouting around the front base of the toilet if you don't want to be cleaning the grout.❤
Crandall build a wood frame for mirror 😂 it's a bathroom for 3 very young boys less is best!🤣 Less grout less glass less counter (no climbing extra special No falling!).
Hello friends, I wanted to suggest from my experience , to put a backlash to go all over the wall behind the kitchen,. The reason is in case that the wall behind the kitchen get wet from rain , then it won’t hurt the cabinets.❤❤❤
That was a very cute video for the bathroom tile I like the last design you guys did and the kitchen back splash white would be good or whatever you guys decide will be good to but I am excited for you guys congratulations on all that you are trying to do to your house thank you for the video and your guys time I hope you and your family has a good rest of your day and weekend thanks again ❤
My friend did their kitchen back splash in a very light sage green subway tile, staggered and it is beautiful. I thought it might be too much but it wasn't. Do you have a Floor and Decor store anywhere near you? Lots more choices and great prices.
We do!! We love floor and decor we got our other bathroom door there. We haven’t really found a tile we like at Lowe’s or Home Depot for the backsplash so that’s where we’re going to go.
If it was hardwood, you would want it to go the same direction throughout the whole house, so staggering it width wise would make sense. Otherwise staggered length Waze is my 2nd choice. A color in your backsplash, black or gray or silver
Marci, the she shed came out great. You could get some metal “she shed” signs and put them over any dings or dents that show on the facing side. Just an idea. For spiders, the come out at night mainly. What I do is I buy home defense by Ortho from home depo and I spray outside and inside all over my home and I have not seen a spider since I moved here where I am now, since 2013. Inside my home or hanging on my home. It says good for 12 month but I spray ever spring and fall. Just to be safe because I hate spiders lol
A pop of color would go nice with black and white. Find a piece of remnant slab with gold accents and some color. Easier to clean a slab than grout for your backsplash. (Granite, Quartz, Corian my favorite etc…) Good luck choosing.☮️💖🙏
White subway tile for backsplash. This isn't your forever home. You are already running out of space. Make selections based on flipping the house and what will appeal to the most people. Good solid choices even if you stay there another 5-10 years, which you probably won't! 😍
Sorry, I am not a visionary person. Someone just needs to come into my house. I will tell them the color I would highlight and they could just pick the rest. No help here. Thank you for the video.. it was good seeing you.
Marci, I’m with you, terrified of spiders 🕷️. I don’t mind snakes or any other creatures. I just need to be rescued from spiders 🕷️. Hang in there and carry your favorite spider gitter, whatever it is for you…..a fly swatter , a spray bottle of mint (I think)……..my favorite is a vacuum cleaner: I have a longer reach and don’t need to get very close. Lol! You have a blessed day!
Don’t do no grout in the bathroom. Do a super small tile line but a small one. Put it in and seal the grout and you’ll be better off. Marci is right about smelly things getting down between the cracks otherwise.
I like the last way to make the bathroom wider.
Just make the vanity bigger with one sink. Counter space is valuable real estate in a bathroom.
Chose whatever makes you all happy, we don’t have to look or live with it. You both have good taste!
When my boys missed the toilet I made them clean the floor, after I got sick of cleaning it up. They were only about 4 & 7. It only took once!!!
The last layout looks the best
Marci, if you put peppermint oil in a spray bottle and spray areas for spiders, it will help rid you of them. Also helps with ants.
The last option for the tile. NO light blue grout, that is going to be too hard to clean!!
You may want a light color for backsplash. I have black and it shows everything!
I like the tile the 3rd way. I think you’re right that the room will look wider.
I think the black cabinet pulls would balance out the rest of your room better than the gold/brassy color.
Marci... be careful with your instant pot at the end of the counter with the plug hanging down..
You need a grey backsplash to match the refrigerator sides , with white cabinets and countertops it will be too much if you did white backsplash
Grey back splash! Grey white marble look!
I think the 2nd way for the tile looked best. I didn’t think it would look good but when it went that way it looked great.
Having the cabinets onsite is one step closer to having them in the kitchen. The bathroom will be another long renovation, but getting all the supplies ahead of time should shorten the time it takes. And the little shed looks almost brand new with the new coat of paint!💖💖💖

We did white cabinets, matte black hardware, white/gray marble quartz countertops a dark gray island and medium gray large subway tile with a wavy surface instead of smooth for the backsplash.😊
If it was my kitchen never gold. Bronze, silver or black! Stay neutral for backsplash so you can change to colors in curtains etc
My AC broke down last night,it was 105 in my house today I'm about to die. I like the floor for the bathroom
Definitely do a double vanity and do the tile the last option. It makes the bathroom looks wider.
Plus a wider vanity will make less flooring to cover. Unless your tiling under the vanity which would be nice as well.

I love these videos watching your thought process. 🤣🤪
She shed looks awesome with the new paint on it
She shed looks awesome 👌
Teach your boys to clean up their own pee from the toilet rim and floor. They will be more careful that way. Definitely grout and seal whichever way you decide to lay the tile. Love the chosen tile!
Happy wife, happy life!😉
Hi guys, I personally like the tiles placed like Marci suggested and will definitely make the bathroom seem wider, sorry Crandell lol
I'm so excited for you both, your home is looking absolutely beautiful xxx
Good luck. I’m confused Marci. Let us know when you make up your mind. ✌️🇺🇸❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree with Marci on which direction to lay the tile
The basket weave or staggered tile pattern, (2) I think would look awesome
I used textured wallpaper painted to look like tin panels for my backsplash. Easier to install than tiles and so far very durable.
They have a shiny hexagon backsplash which would would look good with a little modern country kitchen. It would give your kitchen a little depth also.
Love the last one. Look a lot bigger ❤

You guys amaze me!!! To be so dedicated and focused…..
I vote the Bathroom floor tiles go from tub to vanity (short direction) not long direction in room.
I like the last option best (3rd). I have a black and white master bathroom but choice and I hate my black floor tile. I will just say... I love baby powder after my shower!!! I like Marci idea better about the floor. Either way, will still look nice! 😊 ❤️
I think black accents in the kitchen. Gold will become dated pretty fast as well.
I like the last tile pattern, but, do you have enough tile to do it since you have to make all those cuts?
So excited to see the cabinets up
Y'all are the ones that have to live with your choices so whatever makes you happy is the best way to go. Good luck figuring it out. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Happy your getting the house done it's looking really good love your family ❤
I like the floor tiles laid vertical too. I have to see it all together then find one like it, sorry I couldn't visualize it just by looking at tile samples lol
Sideways…i like the wider look. Marci…keep that hubby busy! ❤️😂👍🏼
Thanks. I like the last laying of the tile. As for backsplash haven’t got the picture of your kitchen in my head yet except white so I don’t think white backsplash.
Hi Crandall , Marci and boys

I like the 2nd way the tile is. The way Marci first suggested.
White tile outlined with narrow black tiles for backsplash double sinks with round mirrors above.Possibly outlined in black. Dark fixtures.
💓💝💘❤💖 watching your videos, thank you for sharing and have a great day!!!
I liked the way Marci wants the tile and yes grout and seal. I'm glad you're going with the black hardware in the kitchen. What about a black and white back splash?
Great job, y'all!❤
WHITE BACKSLASH with BLACK GROUT. Helps to with stains. Matches accents.
I like the wider look

Pale Grey and white backsplash in a wave subway tile.

You all need to spray areas where there are bugs/spiders. Especially inside shed. Be safe, don't get bit.
You need to look at the design of tile on the bathroom floor that will have the least grouting around the front base of the toilet if you don't want to be cleaning the grout.❤
I like the wide way best, great idea. tiny as possible grout line, personally I would do dark grout.
Double sink vanity
And I like the 3rd option
Makes it look wider
Crandall build a wood frame for mirror 😂 it's a bathroom for 3 very young boys less is best!🤣 Less grout less glass less counter (no climbing extra special No falling!).
The kitchen is going to be great. The tile for the bathroom is nice . Take care 😊✨👍❤️🙏🪻
You do whatever makes you happy.
I would do a back splash- a white and black design
Hello friends, I wanted to suggest from my experience , to put a backlash to go all over the wall behind the kitchen,. The reason is in case that the wall behind the kitchen get wet from rain , then it won’t hurt the cabinets.❤❤❤
That was a very cute video for the bathroom tile I like the last design you guys did and the kitchen back splash white would be good or whatever you guys decide will be good to but I am excited for you guys congratulations on all that you are trying to do to your house thank you for the video and your guys time I hope you and your family has a good rest of your day and weekend thanks again ❤
Can’t wait for a LONG video of the kitchen being done
Do do 1/2 spacing,do like 1/3 or 1/4 so it’s more stair steps
Use black tiny grout in bath! Kitchen shades of grey with black accents!
White tile with black streaks like marble for backsplash
My friend did their kitchen back splash in a very light sage green subway tile, staggered and it is beautiful. I thought it might be too much but it wasn't. Do you have a Floor and Decor store anywhere near you? Lots more choices and great prices.

Marcy and Crandall the best way of not having Grouch on your floors is to put Pepsi like the hospital and businesses what they have on their floors
Bar stools i saw some for safe kids. They had sides back on them and if they want to help in kitchen they are safe to pull up to counter to stand in.
Marci, the she shed came out great. You could get some metal “she shed” signs and put them over any dings or dents that show on the facing side. Just an idea. Backsplash needs gold to bring out your gold in the handles
Black and light grey back splash would look good with the stainless steel with the stove n fridge..
I would love to know and see what rooms are completely done
A pop of color would go nice with black and white. Find a piece of remnant slab with gold accents and some color. Easier to clean a slab than grout for your backsplash. (Granite, Quartz, Corian my favorite etc…) Good luck choosing.☮️💖🙏
Last option, makes it large 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Get a narrow floating vanity to have more floor space too.
Back splash a mixture of white and black mix in a square
Black backslash, but I'd do the glass look subway tile
Then just do gold accents
White subway tile for backsplash. This isn't your forever home. You are already running out of space. Make selections based on flipping the house and what will appeal to the most people. Good solid choices even if you stay there another 5-10 years, which you probably won't! 😍
You have to make sure you seal the grout!
Love the 3rd option.
Sorry, I am not a visionary person. Someone just needs to come into my house. I will tell them the color I would highlight and they could just pick the rest. No help here. Thank you for the video.. it was good seeing you.
Maverick wants the snow board.
Oh Wow Marcie and Crandall I am so excited about your new home i can't wait to see it❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Marci, I’m with you, terrified of spiders 🕷️. I don’t mind snakes or any other creatures. I just need to be rescued from spiders 🕷️. Having the tile sideways would entail Crandall having to make a lot of cuts.
I did subway tile backsplash and all the way to ceiling.
