Dimash never spoke English or Chinese. He learned the English and Chinese songs in a week's time so the pronounciation and enunciation most especially in English. He is learning both languages now. He was a guest at The Singer 2018 last month and you can tell the difference between 2017 and the 2018 where he performed the song Hello by Lionel Richie with a spot on pronounciation and enunciation.He has been learning English hard lately. So with his new album Screaming in English version. Yes he does sing in 12 different languages. On this performance All By Myself , he did amazingly well, used a lot of runs with super high notes. Yep! You're right. He improved his English a lot! And you can hear this in "Hello" The Singer 2018. He never stops working. It's so cool that he wants to be better for himself and for all of us - his Dears :) This shows that he respects his listeners ;)
He also improved is French pronunciation, there is a BIG difference between his version of SOS d'un terrien en détresse from I Am A Singer in 2017 and his performance in Slavic Bazaar in 2018.
never learn english,are you sure? it's just rare for somebody who is educated to not learn the language, for it was a subject which even a 5 year old pre-school student have..maybe he is not that really good on the language or he's never sing english songs a lot.

I come from a family of musicians and singers and I know who does well or not. Dimash is one of the best I have ever heard, if not the best. He owns his songs, he lives it. The feeling is naturally there. I really do not need to understand the lyrics of the songs, I am more than happy just to listen. His stage presence and theatrical moves are outstanding. You don't want to blink so as not to miss anything in his performance! He speaks Kazakh, Russian, French and a bit of Italian and is now trying his hardest to learn English and Chinese. And to learn the latter in just a week is absolutely amazing. He now lives in China, but shuttles back and forth to see his family in Kazakhstan and do some concerts. Contracts and endorsements are coming right and left. His runs are as smooth as silk, his falsetto is incredible and he can sustain truly well. On top of this, he is a multi instrumentalist, just watch his performance of Daididau, a Kazakh folk love song where he played the dombyra like a virtuoso. I believe Dimash will open a new era of music. That will happen between 4 to 5 years from now. Believe me!

I knew this specifically would send you over the moon lol. The amount of singing techniques and styles he can blend together in 5 mins is crazy. The whistle tones he did here is a style used in his home country where people mimick the chirping sound of the nations bird.

Fantastic analysis of his vocals. I'm learning alot. You mentioned Dimash's pitch. Dimash's music teacher told his grandmother they were amazed by Dimash because his pitch was always perfect. This was when he was only 5 or 6 years old.

I think your the best as a vocal coach . A lot of so called expert coaches need to follow your example. I like your style of putting in the time frame so you know where to comment. I think this is an excellent way to follow-up, after a singer has completed. Almost every vocal coach has a way of commenting, without listening first, then reacting. You do an awesome job, way to react.

BTW: The guy you see with the round big glasses, the much lighter hair, and almost always wears a hat is Terry Lyn. I heard he and Dimash are close friends even though they competed against each other. I had never heard him until about a week ago. It was for Episode 6. He is fantastic!!! Dimash doesn't speak any languages except Kazakh and Russian. When he came to China he couldn't understand almost anything, only Hello, I love you)) Although he hasn't time to learn language, his english improved a lot.

Поражается сумасшедшему диапазону (6 октав). Эпитеты звучат: превосходный, прекрасный, замечательный, уму не постижимый и т. д. Не все слушатели могут анализировать пение Димаша, но вполне, на слух смогут отличить натуральный продукт от суррогата. А Димаш- натурален во всём: эмоционально выкладывается, даря часть души, эмоции, чувства, собственную энергию зрителям. (Припоминаете мурашки по телу?). Это совсем не легкий труд! Очень тяжело восстанавливаться после выступления. И люди-молодцы, чувствуют это, любят и поддерживают молодой талант. Благодаря искусству Димаша, мы все учимся доброте, снисходительности, человечности, умению отличать подлинное искусство от фальши.
My goodness. I was absolutely dumb struck. Dimash is an enigma. I thought Adagio was ridiculously good, but this performance smashed my mind. Especially that ad lib a capella ending. It was so amazing to me that he didn't lose pitch even after those silences and through those incredibly complex runs. It was glorious when he, the whole band and the choir hit that last note. Him being on pitch.
You see that guy, the one that look like a lion, he appears in almost every video I have seen of Dimash performaces with his funny face expressions. hahahaha. Sometimes with this look of disbilief, others a bit terrified, others in awe. :) Certainly, watch Dimash to sing has been incredible, magnificient, but I have had fun with people reactions to his performances. Also, love your face reactions and your analysis too. Thank you very much.

BTW: The guy you see with the round big glasses, the much lighter hair, and almost always wears a hat is Terry Lyn. I heard he and Dimash are close friends even though they competed against each other. I had never heard him until about a week ago. It was for Episode 6. He is fantastic!!! You should take a listen..... :)

Dimash doesn't speak any languages except Kazakh and Russian. When he came to China he couldn't understand almost anything, only Hello, I love you)) Although he hasn't time to learn language, his english improved a lot.

Разложил всё по полочкам поминутно: величину диапазона, голосовые регистры, мелизмы, невероятные скачки голоса то вверх, то вниз, лёгкость исполнения, красоту тембра и подвижность голоса Димаша. Поражается сумасшедшему диапазону (6 октав). Эпитеты звучат: превосходный, прекрасный, замечательный, уму не постижимый и т. д. Не все слушатели могут анализировать пение Димаша, но вполне, на слух смогут отличить натуральный продукт от суррогата. А Димаш- натурален во всём: эмоционально выкладывается, даря часть души, эмоции, чувства, собственную энергию зрителям. (Припоминаете мурашки по телу?). Это совсем не легкий труд! Очень тяжело восстанавливаться после выступления. И люди-молодцы, чувствуют это, любят и поддерживают молодой талант. Благодаря искусству Димаша, мы все учимся доброте, снисходительности, человечности, умению отличать подлинное искусство от фальши.

My goodness. I was absolutely dumb struck. Dimash is an enigma.
I thought Adagio was ridiculously good, but this performance smashed my mind. Especially that ad lib a capella ending. It was so amazing to me that he didn't lose pitch even after those silences and through those incredibly complex runs. It was glorious when he, the whole band and the choir hit that last note. Him being on pitch.

You see that guy, the one that look like a lion, he appears in almost every video I have seen of Dimash performaces with his funny face expressions. hahahaha.
