At 12:00:02 the city of Tulsa conducted a weekly test of their Outdoor Warning Sirens on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022, the test consisted of about a 1 minute Alert.
I wanted to see if this thing was still active since it’s decently far from other sirens but I guess it’s inactive since the sirens around cover the area pretty well. I’m disappointed about it being inactive but I got a cool ambiance so it’s ok. There are only 2 WS-3000s left in Tulsa but they’re both inactive; it’s this one and then there’s another one about 1.2 miles east

Does discontinued means permanently?
The new ones are louder, project sound 360° without movement and moving parts, and they look kinda cool lol. I have one a block from my house.
Do you have a map of the Camp Tecumseh sirens in Brookston, Indiana?
I don’t but they should be on the Indiana Statewide Siren Map: maps.app.goo.gl/wk9ac7GcD9DYTvTT6?g_st=i
Aye that is a nice ambiance!
I miss those sirens I herd them for the last time before I moved I will hope to here them go off agen 😢
Nice ambiance!
I'm from Tulsa which is where I moved to and lived in since I was 2 or 3 years old.
How old is this siren?
@@Jake-w3l I have no idea. They were made from 1981 - 1991 so within that decade. Both 3000s in Tulsa have the WPS style rotator so they’re later units
When are you gonna record the Whelen 4004’s in Tulsa?
@@jonathanboyd9644 I’m hoping sometime this fall
@@AWT5020 Cool
Some of the Whelen 4004’s I want recorded are the one by Jenks East Elementary School, Tulsa Fire station 32, Fred Hall Park, 111th & Yale, and Chandler Park.
@@jonathanboyd9644 I do have plans to record the 4004s at 111th & Yale and by Jenks East Elementary to find out which one of those is Analog. So those ones I will eventually go to
@@AWT5020 Can you record one of them This Wednesday?
560hz at it's best😩🤤
How many Whelen WS 3000s do we have in Oklahoma?
@@krystalbonsall9416 I can only think of 4 off the top of my head, there may be a couple more. The 2 in Tulsa and 2 in Leach. The Tulsa 3000s are inactive though. The 3000s in Leach came from Tulsa and are active. Broken Arrow’s 3000 was replaced with a 2910 earlier this year
Try again in Leach. I promise it's okay.
How did it get replaced in Broken Arrow?
@@krystalbonsall9416 They replaced it with a WPS-2910
Why?
There are some Whelen WPS 4004’s in Tulsa. I want some of them recorded: Chandler park, Fred Johnson Park, O’Brien Park, Hunter Park, Jenks East Elementary School, 111th and Yale, and I’ll tell you if I think of more.
I’ll keep those in mind. I do have plans to record the 4004s at Carl Smith Park and McClure Park because I’m pretty sure one of them is Analog. I’m planning for May 22nd for one of them as of now. I was going to go in March but I forget my mom works. I also want to get to the 2810
@@AWT5020 Sounds good
Are you able to record any of the Whelen WPS 4004s in Tulsa this April?
@@jonathanboyd9644 Not April but I plan to go in May
@@AWT5020 OK I was just checking
Do you still have the siren test times on the google siren maps or did they get removed?
On the Oklahoma Siren Map they’re in a separate folder now. It’s called “Info & Test Times”. You can turn that folder on and look at all the test times
Yo what map was that at the beginning?
@@OklahomaStateSirens It’s my map on Google Earth I’ve added to for a few years now
@@AWT5020 you mind if I use it for my vids?
@@OklahomaStateSirens I can’t really share it since it’s not on Google Maps. It’s really just for personal use so I can look at everything. I started using it for my videos a lot time ago
@@AWT5020 ah gotcha.
Are you able to go record the Whelen 2810 today in Tulsa?
No. I’ll tell you when I do though, it’ll be sometime next year
@@AWT5020 oh okay thanks
Are you going to record any of Sand Springs, Oklahoma sirens?
I might. I’ve never thought about it though
@@AWT5020 I'll give you some locations
Here are some sand springs siren locations I want recorded if they hadn't upgraded to whelen 2910s yet: OK-51 & S 145th W Ave, Sand Springs Airport, siren across from 2710 Nassau Ave, Pratt Elementary School, 3213 Summit Blvd, Broadway Baptist Church, and Lakeside Church of Christ.
@@jonathanboyd9644 I don’t think they’re replacing anything with 2910s, just getting them for extra coverage
@@AWT5020 they said they are replacing all 19 of them and adding 4 more but they replaced some of them
The 3016 is apart of the old system I’m pretty sure because I’ve seen some old street views on Google Maps a couple Whelen 2800/2900s replaced 3016s
Yeah, they are. Almost all of the 2910s replaced 3016s. They were all replaced not too long ago either. 5-10 years ago. They have a ton of 2910s, around 15 4004s, a 2905, a 2810 and a 2805 at the University of Tulsa
@@AWT5020 where is the 2810 in Tulsa, Oklahoma located?
@@jonathanboyd9644 It’s in front of the building at 10724 E Ute St
Can you record the Whelen 2810 in Tulsa this Wednesday at noon?
@@jonathanboyd9644 I won’t be able to this Wednesday but I can sometime in the future
How many 3000s are in Tulsa? I went to the one in Summerglen Park last year.
Only 2, they’re both inactive though
@AndrewWT Yeah, well I've been trying to buy the ESC-864 from Summerglen's unit. Eventually, someone's gonna buy these or they're going to get removed.
Are you able to record any of the sirens in Owasso or Tulsa this Wednesday at noon?
No, I’ll be with my Grandparents. I’ll see what I can do in March, maybe April, cause I have a lot planned for March
@@AWT5020 ok
Owasso does there sirens the first Wednesday of April at noon
@@jonathanboyd9644 They’re every Wednesday at noon now
@@AWT5020 How do you know that?
Didn't that siren used to be active back in like 2018?
Idk when but it was active fairly recently
Okay, thanks!
eows 612 removed?
Yeah, idk why
@AndrewWT5020 I called to have it removed.
When will they fix it?
@@krystalbonsall9416 I don’t know what you’re not understanding. They’re not turning it back on, it’s not broke. They don’t use it anymore. It was replaced with the 2910s around it
Why not?
@@krystalbonsall9416 You’re asking me the same questions over and over. The 3000s in Tulsa are part of the old system. They have upgraded the system and no longer need the 3000s, so they are permanently shut off
When will they still fix it?
@@Jake-w3l Read what I put above. I’m not explaining this to you anymore. Stop commenting weird and repetitive crap on my videos
Can you send me a Google map of the Tulsa sirens?
I don’t have a map of just Tulsa’s sirens but there is an Oklahoma Siren Map of all sirens in the state I can send you so you can go over and look at Tulsa on that.

@@jonathanboyd9644 I guess I could but it’ll take a while
@@AWT5020 Ok I was just wondering
W 161st St S & S 49th W Ave in Kiefer, OK has a Sentry siren. It’s not on the google Oklahoma siren maps. Are you able to see what siren it is and put it on the google Oklahoma siren maps?
Do you have an email address?
Yes, why?
