I was born and raised in Wyoming, not exactly known for tornadoes. I've got a fascination with storms. My husband and I moved to Tulsa for about 5 years. By the time we moved to Dallas I was a nervous wreck about storms. I could just feel when those sirens were going to fire up. Now I'm hoping to move back for family and, yes, for the storms.
Yeah, May 2013 was crazier! dangerous tornados in Moore, El Reno, and Tulsa. EDIT: There was many more: Guthrie/Edmond Tornado, Shawnee Tornado, Altus Tornado.
@cameronneanderson1206 i do know a song that does have backing vocals for a song and its very frightening i can't get use to the song no matter how many times that i listen to it to get use to it and i just can't i would have thought that listening to it would help me get use to it
I'm from Wyoming and liked them too until I moved to Tulsa. Most of the time there's nowhere to go to shelter from the storms especially at night. Most people don't have a basement or storm cellar because the water in the ground will shift the foundation of the house or pop them back out. We had a siren 2 houses down from ours and I was an absolute nervous wreck by the time we moved. There's literally nowhere to go. I knew of two basements in Tulsa- a neighbor's house and my husband's grandmother's house.
They're often covered in rain. A :search light is only going to reflect off clouds it's not going to illuminate rotating winds . The lightning does a far better job.
Yes but it was the scariest rotation to go directly over our house yet. I was out dancing not far away and people were freaking out. Women were huddled in the bathroom crying. I had a semipro race car driver take me home after it passed. The sirens were still sounding and my family was at home taking shelter. Mayne one more week of this then we will be able to sleep soundly again.
@@soccermisfit1 It passed south of us. When the lights begin to flicker I know it's getting too close. We had some bad winds and hail, but it was a fast storm! I need a shelter, this is just too much I swear. The flooding and then the tornadoes are the cherry on top of the shit sundae.

Very nice siren concert
Is just me or was May of 2019 the worst because the amount of times you had to hear the sirens in May!

I live in Broken Arrow and yeah it was creepy. But I went to Disney world on that same month. So I liked it lol
That would suck to hear that at night time can't even see Anything!
That is scary. I prefer daylight wall clouds. It makes for better videos too.
It sounds absolutely terrifying to me like two sirens going off at once kinda like backing vocals for a song

May 20th.... should this be a repeat of may 20th 2013 tornado?!
So much lightning in that storm! And I remember this so well
You did the smart thing. Always a good idea to stand outside and watch.

We had the sirens again last night and a stinking tornado go over our heads again. Tornado alley has it's alleys.
Speaking scientifically i.e. 2021
Whelen wps 4000 and two wps 2908s
Let's hope this doesn't happen in May 2020! I had enough of these storms!!
It happens every year. Anxiety sirens, activate!
I remember that storm dude I was in the closet with my mom dad and brother and my 2 dogs and his bearded dragon
I was outside filming lol
I'm not sure why places don't use spotlights to locate versus here's the siren, it's somewhere-or not.

You are hearing Tulsa's 4008 and 2910 system
the 4008 was a beast
@@ethearnos6397 It still is.
I was thinking there was a 4008 in there, wasn't sure about the others.
Not over yet...You guys alright after last night?

The power and traffic lights were out all the way home. My ride flew me home in his car. That was actually scarier than the wall cloud.

Getting ready for another round today
