Very, very cool, brother. You know I am a huge fan of Austrian gold. Excellent video! This is kinda like your Eurostacker's homecoming video, I feel like. Love it!
Man those are some nice pieces! Austrian Stacker is great, love that dude! Love that crest on the coin, so awesome! Man that gold really stacks up nice! Franz had it made, Emperor at 18, I couldn't imagine... Great stuff man, enjoy the history, love the gold!
Such a sweet collection. Really do appreciate the artwork on these! Hopefully can get a few of them too... like a lot of sweet foreign coins, very hard to come by in AUS at decent enough prices. The info in the video was also on point! Cheers,
Love the one on the right. Maria Theresa Thaler and the restrike gold ones are beautiful. One day I'll head back to Vienna (I worked there for 4 months) and nip back to the Austrian mint. Never seen those 100 krune coins before - they are pretty cool. I'll stick to 1oz Brits because of the tax. I have to admit that I need to up my Gold stacking. Philharmonic's - meh...
@@gunnargundersen3787 They are not too bad… The gold and silver were not much different over spot as any other bullion coins, so I think they are worth it! Plus I have the 2oz set so perfect way to complete it…
Can someone give me information about the 1867 ducat ? Is it more valuable than all these restrikes from 1915..1892...etc.? Any info at all would be much appreciated
Do you happen to know why Austrian mint sells 100 Kronen (Austrian version), but does not sell the Hungarian one? If you go to the official website, they sell only Austrian one. I know (as you noted) there are restrikes of this 100 Korona Hungarian gold coin, but I am not sure if those restrikes actually takes place anywhere, you can only find on the secondary market this coin.
That is a great question and I have no idea. I would speculate that they are no longer produced while the Austrian version is. Would be a great question to ask the mint.
Would like to have a 100 Corona in my stack! For the time being I've not pulled the trigger yet though. Always been something else that I wanted more or was a much better deal - but it's surely on my wish list! One down side of many of the historical Austrian coins is their large diameter relative to their thickness which means more storage space. I've just added 2x 1 Ducat and 1x 4 Ducat to my stack as I stumbled upon a private deal not to be missed (yes they're genuine). With capsules those 3 coins take up an entire cell in my Leuchtturm tray for Quadrum XL capsules (room for 12 Quadrum XL). I don't think it's long ago I thought I'd "never" fill that tray using ordinary round capcules - With other coins like Krugerrands there can be two large 1 oz coins and two smaller like Sovereign, Rooster, 1/4 Krugerrand and such in one room. Sure I can just get a tray without divisions but I like that they don't rattle arround too much. Oh well there's still room for one or two trays more in the box. I like to store all my coins in capsules. When the time to sell them comes the well preserved ones are always easier to sell and fetch slighty more.
That would be great if you could add that coin! The Hungarian Coronas are also really nice! I agree the dimensions on these coins are unique and large which makes storage a challenge if you have many. It's nice to see another collector of these beauties! I really like the design of these coins like yourself! Hopefully you never need to sell them, but I totally get it if you do... especially if gold value increases tenfold! Thanks for watching and the wonderful comment! Have a great weekend!
@@AlohaStacker Nice weekend to you too! Yeah the Hungarian is nice too. Also would like the 100 Franc coin and 50 Pesos. However premiums might may be on the high side so I might not pull the trigger on those. So far this year I've only bought those 3 Ducat(s) coins. (As well as two 1 gram bars for gifts). Last year on the other hand I went crazy. 3x 1oz coins, 1x 1 Ducat, 1x 2021 Sovereign and 1x Italian 20 Lira. Even though they where on the pricey side last year they're already a good buy I can sell for great profit (not that I plan to). A 2021 Krug as I figured that might be a key year and I really love Krugs for many reasons. One Eagle - 2021 the last of the old kind and a Britannia as it's the first with the new security. The Sovereign I mostly ordered because I wanted to test out BullionByPost before ordering the Britannia. The other two smaller coins simply because I stumbled upon deals I couldn't say no to. I plan to get at least one large coin this year in addition to the half large (by amount) 4 Ducat I already got. Though it's always a bit of a gamle. Prices are high but so are inflation. So will it be better to wait a little or will it only get worse and will gold prices fall again? I might not sell all of them. But I consider them as part of a secondary retirement funding. However one may never know. Had you asked me last year I was 100% certain about it. The recent months with really high inflation and war anything can happen. Sure I might be in a position to be able to better cope with a financial storm than most others but still you'll never know what the future will bring. Which coin to get next I'm not 100% sure of. My local dealer hasn't got any 100 Corona at the moment so it's out of the question for the moment. Can be a Krugerrand especially if they have a '79 or '86 - the year I was born respectively the last year I was in South Africa. Or if they have a new Eagle I might pick that as well oh well I probably wont - Krugerrands is where the heart is - the original modern bullion coin and I like they're without arbitrary low denomination - their legal tender in their home country is whatever the gold price is - I love that! And a Happy Easter too!
@@HifiCentret Hard to say if now is best or wait... I have been buying more numismatic stuff lately since the bullion has high premiums... the summer usually has good dips to buy, but this year who knows with the constant crisis happening... You have a good collection going and lots of good stuff to pickup in the future... at the end it is when you are ready to buy because we can never predict spot prices very well...
@@AlohaStacker Yeah. Even the two 100 gram bars I got back in 2012 and 13 now seems like a steal. Regretted I got bars back then but hey. I just found out pure gold was not only legal but also VAT exempt in EU (everyone has been lying) and in contrast to my sister nobody gave me gold as a youngster (a coin same value as her jewelry would have been nice!) so been starved for long I wanted my own gold bars and the larger the better. Later found out it was not the smartest choice. 1. Because of size 2. Because they're bars. Coins are easier to do private deals to maximize the profit (for both buyer and seller) and verification using cheap tools is much easier. So coins it is from now on. Sure there might be a good bar deal on the private markets but there you really have to watch for fakes and if you have to do the trading at a dealer to be able to verify it then the great is mostly out - at least for de buyer. For coins even the good tungsten fakes are rather easily identified - at least those without numismatic value as nobody wil make a 1:1 copy of those.
@@HifiCentret I prefer coins over bars, just because I think they hold their value and have a monetary amount tied to them. Yeah no VAT in Europe on gold... silver is nuts though, but I have noticed the price is not that much more than the US with premiums...
Love Austrian gold
The Perth Mint makes some great products!
That 100 Corona coin is a beast, reminds me of 50 pesos
Thank you A Y! They do produce some great coins, but I think you meant Austrian mint not Perth… though they make great products as well…
Beautiful Hungary and Austria gold coins! Thanks for sharing. Take care and be safe!

Impressive and beautiful coins. I also love edge lettering and designs
