Oreck Axis Upright Vacuum Cleaner Demonstration on QVC UK

The Oreck Axis is being demonstrated on QVC UK by the regular Oreck guest. Oreck is now owned by TTI who also own Vax in the UK, Hoover USA, Dirt Devil and Royal vacuums.
I have never owned an Oreck, but the first vacuum I remember my Mum owning was an orange Macdonald Electric upright, which I believe was an early design adopted by Oreck.

This is from 2013. I have an Oreck Axis. I bought it off eBay in 2019 when it was only 6 years old from someone that found it in a vacuum store dumpster. Someone cut the cord off, and the fan chamber is cracked and jammed with pet hair. It is clean and it has a new HEPA bag in it which is a plus.

I find it humorous that she is using a machine with a blown headlight in the video they show under the couch. at least it doesn't appear to just using one bulb since it's off to the side

I like Oreck machines, and I was very depressed to hear that TTI bought the company. I was hoping that the Oreck family bought it back. But, TTI did say that they are committing to keep the US plant open, if that's any consolation.

My mom has an Oreck. She likes it, just doesn't like the lack of attachments. I have the portable unit, use it to blow up air mattresses and such.

At around 3:09 the woman says "If you have floors that need cleaning every now and then". Apparently if I'm interested in buying a vacuum it's not for a 'now and then' thing but an almost daily use. This vacuum sounds like it's loud. Amazon has them for $199.00 (if I may put this in the comments).

I actually don't like the swivel aspect. It seems to want to go it's own way sometimes.
