I love Orecks! I think they are good vacuum cleaners if they are maintained properly and kept up with routine maintenance. Please keep up the great work!
I love my Orecks! All 6 of them. I can’t pass one by at thrift stores. I love refurbishing them. It’s odd to me the subtle differences between the UK and North American versions besides the electrical requirements. The white motor guard and the model numbers are different. Brilliant video! RIP Mr. Oreck! He was a brilliant man!

I've always got on well with them! The bags take a nice good wash too
Ooo nice orecks I use to have full orecks collection but I sold them because I don’t have a space for it
I was very attached to my Oreck as it was my first vacuum cleaner which cleaned so deeply it left stripes on the carpet, like a well mown lawn. Later I read that a company in USA which sells pure wool carpets won't guarantee any that have been vacuumed with an Oreck as it destroys wool pile.
Yes their very aggressive, I'd not use one on anything delicate for long 😂

Yea we've always had them, mail order stuff usually! Tti oreck has a UK website although with only 1 model listed for sale 😂
What kind of grease/lube do you recommend for the ball bearings on an Oreck XL?
I've got a tube of ball bearing grease I use but any general purpose grease will be OK for a vacuum bearing. Oil might work but will fling out faster
