Geoff's events have been nothing but bloated showcases of unrealized potential time and time again. I gave up on his events years ago because he's stubbornly opposed to any constructive criticism about how to improve them - so why should anyone even care anymore?
PC handhelds have two challenges to overcome. The battery and storage. Would like to see a Smart Delivery option for Steam Deck, ROG Ally, etc. where it understands this will not achieve higher than 1080p and downloads smaller game files.
Why are the game awards worth watching? It's just the same as the summer games fest, loads of fluff and filler a few reveals, lets not forget that the awards are a joke GOTY is the only one anyone cares about they know that that's why the rush other awards and do some pre show or offscreen ots ridiculous. The best way to watch these things are by watching a content creator that will openly mock the show or wait till all the trailers are released.
I don't watch Geoff Keighley shows. I always wait until they are done and then go find an article that covers all announcements and showings. From there, I search RUclips for any corresponding clips or trailers. As for the gaming season/month, I don't have any expectations for any of the game showcases this year. I have things I would like to see, though: • PC release dates for Final Fantasy 16 and FF7 Rebirth • Release window for Fable • Gears of War Collection • And a release window for Kingdom Hearts 4 • God of War Ascension to Hod of War 3 released on PC in a collection. • Lies of P expansion I don't expect to see even half of the aforementioned, but the more the merrier. And anything else would either just be extra for me, or a very welcome and exciting surprise.
I would love a Gears collection. My PC’s been having some issues lately so I bought an Xbox Series S for real cheap recently and would love some remasters to play.
I really do think this has to do with these rumors about All these Sony games that's supposed to be on the summer showcase. I don't think there was high expectations until that rumor I may be wrong.
I like that's being more level headed this time. Plus, there are so many showcases, it's difficult setting these at just one or two shows, anymore. I just hope he doesn't disrespect the devs like at last year's Game Awards.
The ROG Ally X is what I have been waiting for. I wasn't sure who was going to pull this device off first (I suspected Valve would), but I knew that someone would produce a portable gaming device that would fully call out to me. And it was Asus that made the call. That's going to be my Kwanzaa present to myself at the end of this year. 😏

I legit dont even see the point of summer game fest so many companies ( Nintendo, Atlus, Pokemon, Square Enix, RGG, Naughty dog etc) they all have individual showcases of their own or events for announcing games for their respective franchises.

And FYI, I didn’t even watch the State of Play live and only watched the trailers for Concord and Astro Bot afterwards because those were the only games I was remotely interested in (Concord not anymore cuz it looks terrible lmao).
