The more games are raised in price, the less games I can buy a year. These game companies will lose even more sales each time they release a game. Let's say the next Assassin's Creed is $80. I think they will lose 20% of the people that would have bought it and that's with a lot of games. Ever since the games went up to $70 I've been more careful about what I buy and when I buy it. Raising prices cause people to not buy a product so I understand people think GTA will sell but at some point, the price is too much. I know they plan to have each player spend $60 or more in game to buy vehicles and stuff which is why we should not spend $100 on it. Stop supporting these companies and wait for sales. There are few games that need to be bought right away for $70.
Exactly. I will definitely be buying far fewer games. They need to go back to smaller scope 8-9 hour (replayable) type games. Cost a lot less to make, therefor being able to sell games at $40-$50 again.

Microsoft DID say that they would be bringing COD to Nintendo platforms. Chances are they will still be supporting Xbone and PS4 for the next few CODs, so a Switch 2 version is not a big ask technically speaking, just with much lower res textures using DLSS to scale up to whatever the screen supports. And hey, Phil also said that they wanted to add Steam, Epic, GOG and "OTHER" online game stores to the next Xbox. After those three he mentioned by name, the only other two I can think of are PSN and Nintendo online, and I don't think it's gonna be PSN. Docked versions of Mario Kart and Zelda sold digitally on the Next-Box anyone? Nintendo don't have a stand alone home console of their own, and selling the games on XBox wouldn't touch Switch console sales (and without a Switch cartridge slot on the next-Box, people would have to double dip on the games if they owned both consoles.) **EDIT - If they just let you have the Nintendo online store, Nintendo still get to keep all the money and don't have the 30% licensing fee for their Next-Box sales, same way Steam wouldn't have to pay anything.**
I'd rather Xbox put some new games that don't have the "emotional attachment" that people have. So games like Avvowed, or new Activision and Bethesda games. Keep Ms Studios Games 1st Party or Timed Exclusives. Than putting their Main IP like Halo. It just leads to a LOT of drama for players that won't support these games. Who would care about a 10 yr old Halo, Forza or Gears ? That is your brand identity. I personally don't care, but I u derstand why people would be upset.
AA games are almost always more fun than AAA games that usually tend to be interactive movies anyway. AA? -Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, and anything that doesn't rely too much on flashy graphics and photorealistic cutscenes instead of compelling gameplay.
Halo mcc and starfield for the switch 2.... 😂 I need you to define what "sell alot" actually means??? And how much will the switch cost if you comparing it to the steam deck? And I dare them to raise prices again... GTA won't sell as much with a $100 price tag and forcing 60 million PS4 owners to upgrade their console and buy a $100 game? We'll see just how addicted to GTA people are...these companies are playing with fire and the switch 2 will be 500 at least
It doesn’t matter what excuses game developers make if I don’t believe their product is worth the price then they will not get my money. At the end of the day you can only sell a product that the price that the customer is willing to pay.
Xbox user here. To be honest I don't really mind they launching games on other platforms as long as I get them on game pass. The service is still on console and/or pc and no other platforms and non subscribers have to pay so I feel it's a good deal for me. That said, I find some playstation fans really annoying with their console wars and feeling so superior to the rest. I don't get the same vibe from nintendo users and that's why I can get irritated at the attitude from one side and just be happy for the other gamers that get to play more games.
Starfield could not run natively on the new Switch...my guess is cloud for these games....also folks don't thing Nintendo an Sony are so willy nilly letting Xbox brand themselves all over there platforms...that red line is what they'll allow..any consumer buying Halo is one less buying Mario
@@applejuicejunkie316 it's outside the realm of possibility because Nintendo wouldn't allow it. Nintendo would make far less money if people played games on Xbox Game Pass for Switch 2 than they would if everyone just bought the games for $70. Remember, Nintendo is the company that never puts their games on sale to begin with. Game Pass on Switch 2 only benefits Microsoft and also makes Xbox consoles completely irrelevant.

$100 or £100 for a game IS RIDICULOUS and GREEDY!! Blockbuster films that cost the same or more than most AAA games don't charge anything like this price for their product!!
The issue isn't xbox games going to other platforms. The issue is that it's one sided. Where are the nintendo games for xbox? Where are the major first party PS games for Xbox? Games should be everywhere sounds great if everyone does it. Otherwise not so much.
MCC may be old games.. But it's the best of the halo franchise which is xbox... If these players were interested in play halo, they'd have bought an xbox or pc... Hate this narrative of it's an old game. It's only 5 and Infinite missing, so you're basically giving all.. 5 wasn't received well, And infinite is good campaign wise even at launch, but was missing co-op. The thing that hurt infinite perse was maps for multiplayer and forge will is resolved now. Before any clown come at me. I own ALL CONSOLES so play wherever and whatever I want to..
most people aren't going to buy a console just for one franchise. everyone knows what halo is and a ton haven't played it before. there's a casual interest there that can grow the franchise that can't be tapped into if it stays on xbox
I don't think the Starfield hate was really coming from PS owners. The 15+ year Bethesda hate industry orients around PC centric content creators with PC gamer audiences who get super hivemind and organized with their smear campaigns. That's where you find all the culture warriors, review bombing redditors etc with generic video essay wanker opinions.
Most. Very few games leave me satisfied with that price tag. Even if it isn't broken at launch I quite often end up beating a game and thinking is that it? I paid all that money for that little
Game pass makes it so Xbox fans can be tolerant with sharing their exclusives with other platforms. If game pass did not exist Xbox fans would be livid.
We've been on this road about the rumors about Halo and Xbox Game Pass going to rival platforms before, every time Phil Spencer shuts the rumor down. No Jay, Halo MCC will not sell well on Nintendo Switch 2, because Nintendrones are still not going to give a rats ass about Halo. Now if Microsoft was to let Rare put a new Banjo-Kazooie game on Nintendo Switch 2, then it would make more sense since Banjo-Kazooie started on Nintendo 64 before Microsoft bought Rare out of spite because Nintendo laughed at Microsoft after Microsoft asked Nintendo if they could buy them.
What if Microsoft released Gamepass core into switch. No day one releases that would canibalise nintendo sales, potentially opening the door to users of said service subscribing to ultimate throigh another device, PC, TV, firwstick, using cloud gaming..... Just a thought 🤔
Capcom should remake Code Veronica and the original before they touch 5, its a decent game but its not a good Resident Evil game. Also 6 is total trash, why would they use any resources on it.
It isn't so much that gamers lost the $70 price hike argument, they willingly voted for this by opening their wallets. This is everyone's chance... Don't buy it. Or we're going to normalize $100 AAA games just like they did with $70 games.
Outside of Nintendo I rarely buy games anymore at all. No need with gamepass, ps plus, and free games on EGS, Prime Gaming, etc. Not to mention the yearly steam sales that most often clear me out with how many games I get for half the price of most new full games.
Price hike is fake news, games are cheaper than ever these days with new games getting heavily discounted usually after a month or two. GTA6 might cost more than the standard $70 but so what. Street Fighter II launched in the US on the Super Nintendo for $79.99. All future versions was sold at $50 but the original? I'll never forget. Went to a Toys R Us and they had the tag. Shocked the shit out of me... and then I was like, Well that's cheap. I would go to the local movie theater to play that game and they would kick us out if we didn't buy a ticket. Sometimes we bought tickets just to play SF2 (and MK2) so I say all that to say I know for a fact this happens from time to time. $80 back in 1992
Some people indeed ,some people can afford it but most cant . Companies will be flying to close to the sun.1 Teenagers and kids cant afford 100 dollars games heck they cant even afford a 60 dollar game. 2 the biggest gaming group 30 plus year olds have other things to worry about they have financial responsibility . 3 people in their 20s might be the group buying 100 dollars games they are the most reckless out of the three. Leaving a small market of people buying new games. Mind you the less people buy new games after the prive hike .
Well gta does come out like every 10 years, unlike most other games which come out yearly or a few years in between. But still 100 is alot, game companies are looking for an excuse to hike prices, u sneeze funny theirs an excuse/opportunity for a price hike.
I rather have xbox titles on Nintendo because xbox gives to PlayStation games what does PlayStation give to xbox. My concern is the HD space for xbox games
GTA 6 is my most anticipated game of the year. That being said, no game is worth $100 at regular price. I purchased the $100 version of CFB 25 because I got extras and early access with it, but I wouldn’t pay that just for the privilege to play the game. If Rockstar messes around like that, they’ll definitely find out that a lot of people don’t want to pay that much for a game.
Wow even Nintendo has fallen Because Microsoft Support their own games over to Nintendo switch That means Nintendo will not get no revenue From those xbox games And it looks like Microsoft will get some revenue But those xbox games cause they own the IP and this is what people don't freaking think I guess this is a good for gamers That is true Even the game will sell pretty well on Nintendo switch But it hurts Nintendo and income And plus that will not help the switch 2 To sell that many units So if this partnership does do something with Nintendo that means some Nintendo games will possible over to the xbox also
A game price hike is not gonna be cool, we just got to $70. Xbox x Nintendo is a win in my book. Nintendo with game pass in 2027 anyone? Master Chief in Smash? Lol
@@spugelo359Outside of their hard-line stance on emulation (which is mainly a stance against pirating games), I don’t see how Nintendo is consumer-unfriendly. @@daRealB-Rex I find the "anti-consumer" argument these days mostly just boils down to people making excuses for themselves stealing software 😂 Also, no chance we're getting Gamepass on Switch 2, but it makes sense that Microsoft will be trying to keep themselves relevant by porting titles for purchase. Personally, I have no interest in paying a subscription for games anyway, TV/movie streaming has shown us we can't trust private companies with our media libraries. @@nonchalant2295 That’s not how it works. The whole point of subscription services is the operator of the service wants to take home the lion’s share of the revenue, which is why Game Pass hasn’t shown up on Steam, PlayStation, or Switch yet. It might cut into the store owner’s profits.

Nintendo don't have a stand alone home console of their own, and selling the games on XBox wouldn't touch Switch console sales (and without a Switch cartridge slot on the next-Box, people would have to double dip on the games if they owned both consoles.)
**EDIT - If they just let you have the Nintendo online store, Nintendo still get to keep all the money and don't have the 30% licensing fee for their Next-Box sales, same way Steam wouldn't have to pay anything.**
Just wish they had voice acting
Makes conker way better than banjo-kazooie
Halo mcc and starfield for the switch 2.... 😂 I need you to define what "sell alot" actually means??? And how much will the switch cost if you comparing it to the steam deck? And I dare them to raise prices again... GTA won't sell as much with a $100 price tag and forcing 60 million PS4 owners to upgrade their console and buy a $100 game? We'll see just how addicted to GTA people are...these companies are playing with fire and the switch 2 will be 500 at least
Xbox is going to publisher in future 😂
Microsoft partnership will be in the backend for online gameplay and game chats
Gta 6 would definitely be worth 100 cuz people r still playing the last one Butt! Only rockstar can get away wit that lol
Looking at my library and counting how many times I paid for any GTA game...
0!
With this news, I don't see that trajectory changing at all.
I want a RE5 before they do RE6..
So, what’s the reason to buy an Xbox now? Lol
It doesn’t matter what excuses game developers make if I don’t believe their product is worth the price then they will not get my money. At the end of the day you can only sell a product that the price that the customer is willing to pay.
I dont mind xbox giving games over to other consoles means i have a lot more friends who can play with
Xbox user here.
No game is gta so if other game developers think they can piggyback on gta for more money they are crazy.
For a moment, I thought Game Pass would be available on the Switch 2. 😅
Why would that be out of the realm of possibility? MS and Xbox are trying to make Gamepass available on EVERYTHING.
@@applejuicejunkie316 But he can't because he's said many times that Nintendo and Sony don't want the service on their platforms. Why do you think that Phil Spencer was in love over the Steam Deck days after he mentioned that closed platforms don't want Game Pass?
@applejuicejunkie316 I did not say it was impossible. For me, it would be awesome. But I don't think Nintendo would allow it. 😅
@@LeoCESS Phil Spencer has said numerous times it wasn't.
$100 or £100 for a game IS RIDICULOUS and GREEDY!! Blockbuster films that cost the same or more than most AAA games don't charge anything like this price for their product!!
❤❤ thanks J
halo 5 never released on XBOX 360!
I CALLED THIS WEEKS AGO!
The issue isn't xbox games going to other platforms. The issue is that it's one sided. Where are the nintendo games for xbox? Where are the major first party PS games for Xbox? Games should be everywhere sounds great if everyone does it. Otherwise not so much.
They can take a long walk off of a short pier, if they wanna charge $100 for the standard edition of a game.
Can we please PLEASE FINALLY GET DONKEY KONG 64 REMASTERED!!!!!!
The state of some games on release is not worth £70 let alone £100.
I think the Switch 2 will be $450.
Why do you say that?
Exciting time to be a gamer❤
RE 1 getting remade would be a travesty.... wishing for this makes you nothing but a tourist.... god "gamers" these days
WTF RUclips why was I unsubscribed from a channel I've been subscribed to for the longest of time
Another partnership where Xbox gives their games away and xbox players get none in return?
Partnership? All those games will come to PS as well. Is Xbox partnering with Sony now as well?
Not planning on buying GTA regardless if the price, but would be very upset if other games attempted to do this anytime soon.
Just because we would pay a premium for GTA6 does NOT mean we will pay that for shovelware etc. get your shit in order gaming industry lol
What if Microsoft released Gamepass core into switch. No day one releases that would canibalise nintendo sales, potentially opening the door to users of said service subscribing to ultimate throigh another device, PC, TV, firwstick, using cloud gaming.....
Just a thought 🤔
Your accent, are you from Philly or nearby?
Capcom should remake Code Veronica and the original before they touch 5, its a decent game but its not a good Resident Evil game. Also 6 is total trash, why would they use any resources on it.
Nintendo fanboys be darned! The Switch is a handheld system that can connect to a TV. It is not a console like the Xbox or Playstation.
Still don't know what 'Hybrid' means? o.o
Dont call these people xbox fans theu are fanboys
Give me Silksong for fux sake Lord Help me
It isn't so much that gamers lost the $70 price hike argument, they willingly voted for this by opening their wallets.
It’s way too soon for games to be $100. $60 had 20 years, $70 gets 5 years.
$80 back in 1992
It would appear that the Microsoft, Nintendo partnership is very one sided. What Nintendo specific games will be coming to Xbox?.
Would love Bayonetta and Astral Chain though...
Octopath Traveler was Switch exclusive at first. That's all I can think of.
edit: I just remembered Master Detective Archives: Rain Code as well.
@VitalVampyr It was released on Steam long before it arrived on Xbox.
It's going to be Pokemon
I’ll be waiting for sales only once that bs start
They can raise the price, I just won't be a day one buyer anymore. They need to figure their ish out not push it to me. Get your people on a budget.
Thank God I sold my series s. The switch 2 is going to be amazing
$100 will be worth it to some people.
ITS not the Gamers issue how much a game costs .. Games should be 60 - 80 Bucks
I'm not paying $100 for an old game standard edition I mean
xbox are not leaving many reasons to own a xbox console all i need now is nintendo to put games on pc then i wont buy any console's
Wow even Nintendo has fallen Because Microsoft Support their own games over to Nintendo switch That means Nintendo will not get no revenue From those xbox games And it looks like Microsoft will get some revenue But those xbox games cause they own the IP and this is what people don't freaking think I guess this is a good for gamers That is true Even the game will sell pretty well on Nintendo switch But it hurts Nintendo and income And plus that will not help the switch 2 To sell that many units So if this partnership does do something with Nintendo that means some Nintendo games will possible over to the xbox also
Nintendo gets like a 30% cut dude. They get a cut of EVERYTHING sold on their storefront.
RE5 has some problems. I can see them skipping it
Between $400-450 is ok more than that and it gets a lil sus
Gta 100 euro . Well good luck i will wait for 90% off . I have a huge backlog.
A game price hike is not gonna be cool, we just got to $70.
Xbox x Nintendo is a win in my book. Nintendo with game pass in 2027 anyone?
Master Chief in Smash? Lol
That sounds too consumer friendly for Nintendo to even consider.
@@spugelo359Outside of their hard-line stance on emulation (which is mainly a stance against pirating games), I don’t see how Nintendo is consumer-unfriendly. They rarely bait and switch people, keep everything at a consistent price, have consistent messaging throughout the generation, and still produce physical games in their pure form with DRM or required downloads.
@@daRealB-Rex I find the "anti-consumer" argument these days mostly just boils down to people making excuses for themselves stealing software 😂
Also, no chance we're getting Gamepass on Switch 2, but it makes sense that Microsoft will be trying to keep themselves relevant by porting titles for purchase.
Personally, I have no interest in paying a subscription for games anyway, TV/movie streaming has shown us we can't trust private companies with our media libraries. And particularly for indies, it feels good to support their hard work when purchasing their games.
@@mildhoof Fair assessment. I buy my favorite games on disc but don’t mind playing games through a subscription.
"Partnership?" Lol. The cope is strong.
I wont be paying 100 if clowns don't pay that price they will need to change things
don't be surprised if that Xbox /Nintendo partnership is to have gamepass on switch very possible now
i doubt it, especially since Nintendo has their own sub service and they wouldn’t want to miss out on their 30% cut from sales of games.
@@daRealB-Rex Ah yes because a 100% cut of nothing is way better than a 30% of something. Sound logic.
@@daRealB-Rex they can get 30% from gamepass
@@nonchalant2295 That’s not how it works. The whole point of subscription services is the operator of the service wants to take home the lion’s share of the revenue, which is why Game Pass hasn’t shown up on Steam, PlayStation, or Switch yet. It might cut into the store owner’s profits.
@@KyleSetFire What are you trying to say here? I’m saying the economics of Game Pass on Nintendo don’t make sense. Nintendo stands to gain nothing from it so they wouldn’t let it happen.
