An absolutely wonderful and comprehensive review! I can always come back to this channel and know that I'm going to get some of the best quality reviews available on YT. Thanks!
Excellent review. You are the only one who reviewed this from an artist perspective. Looks like LG did a proper job with pen implementation. In Feb 2024, these are on eBay for a good price and there are 16 inch versions with 13th gen i7 CPU. I never heard about Concepts sketching program/app and I have tried many for my pen enabled Thinkpads. I just loaded it up and looks to be perfect for technical sketching. So thank you for a competent, complete and useful review.
I was looking into replacing my ipad for work and was researching drawing tablets. So glad I ordered this one. Cheaper and faster than a new ipad. Plus I can use the laptop for everything else. Looks promising
There's an available m.2 nvme slot for the laptop version to install additional memory. As a productivity laptop, it is amazing. The only complaints I have are the highly reflective screen, and flex on the keyboard. However, I have been extremely happy to replace my 2016 intel MacBook Pro with this.
@@teohontech7141 the heat and fan noise on the Intel MacBook Pro has been unbearable, especially when I do light video rendering. For my current use purpose(non video stuff), the 11th gen i5(Evo) is more than sufficient.
Do you think the highly reflective screen is a major issue? This is the only point making me second thoughts abt this notebook. I'm torn between the Gram and the Galaxy Book Pro
@@erikduek3665 it is an issue for me, but I can live with it as long as I can increase the brightness. I don't do video editing or photoshop with it, so it's fine.
Request: Tapering is going to be a issue for a lot of artists, could you please check if there is a way to troubleshoot the same for Photoshop, like you did in Crita?
Great review - always liked the idea of a laptop/tablet as second monitor setup. What keyboard is that? Looks like it'd be useful in that kind of setup to switch between devices
thank you for this awesome review! oh, how much i would love a comparison of this to the samsung galaxy pro book 360 2 in 1 with their s pen! whether you get to do this or not, happy new subscriber here!
That Samsung should have better drawing experience since it's using the S Pen. Drawing experience should be similar to drawing on Galaxy tablets with S Pens.
Hello Teoh, how about a drawing review on a chromebook tablet? Most of the drawing reviews are only on ipad, android and windows. In fact, chromebook also supports the stylus. Chromebooks can use android and linux applications, especially Arm processors. Take the Lenovo Chromebook Duet for example. I saw only 1 person who reviewed the chromebook tablet for drawing and not as detailed as you. Thank you.
trying to decide between 16" 2-1 with stylus (for masking in photoshop) or lg 17" for the larger screen. Could always get a wacom tablet. seems like the stylus wasn't that great here. What do you think?
This was a review unit. You can compare the official retail price on LG's website vs Lazada. Note that the laptops featuring the 2022 Intel 12th gen chips will be available from 13 June 2022 onwards. The review unit in this video is the 2021 model.
Update: I found out there's LG Gram 16 convertible too.
Can you pls post a link to the stand. Thank you.

I find it very interesting you switched from a Mac over to Windows

@@singlehorn2520 Oh yeah, I sold my MBP 2015 for the same reason. Heat and fan noise. LOL.

For the price this will have to be exceptional

Logitech K810. But it's discontinued. There are other Logitech keyboard with the same feature.
It ain't a Teoh on Tech Artist Review without Pablo lol
That's a really good stand, which is why it's featured often. lol. I even use it as an easel for my watercolour work.
wow Aes start to become as good as Emr, that is straighter stroke I ever see from Aes pen

The pen isn’t that great for drawing, but for writing or graphic design work it works fine.
Nice review, how would you compare this to the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio for drawing?
Microsoft SLS has better accuracy
@@teohontech7141 Hmm that figures. Im thinking about the Samsung Galaxy Book 360 pro.. looks amazing, have you tried it?
14:37 Dots not appearing on the screen. Is it a common problem in gram 14 2-in-1 model? Or was it a defect of the review unit?
It’s due to the drawing software
Best than Apple pencil 1st writting experience on iPad for notes taking?
pls review zenbook flip s next, i wanna know if the asus pen is actually good or not
I'll see if I can get my hands on one.
please make a review on asus vivobook slate with the pen
I'll see if I can get my hands on one.
Which nib did you use? there are extras in the box and the one with blue on it is for drawing.
The default one. The nib may change how the pen feels on the glass but it's not going to change the line quality.
@@teohontech7141 thank you, that was my next question!
Hi bro, where you got your LG Gram from? I still can't tell if the official lazada store is the cheapest option

Can I use other pens?
So i cant use the pen unless the screen is folded?
You can use the pen in all situations
Do your research before you give out false information please. There is a 16 inch convertible with touchsreen and pen support
