The thing with Laufey is that there is no mediocre version of her songs. There is always something different and draws you into the song like it's the first time you're listening to it every time she performs. You get sucked into her world (or at least the world of the song). From Street by Street to Goddess... every song is a part of a journey. Hugs and kisses to Laufey! 🥰
The emotions she pour into this piece. Not sure if the subtle voice breaks were intended but imo it made some parts feel more raw and human (in a good way)
Fr it adds life to the song it shows we’re human and we’re not perfect. Nothing is perfect. The world isn’t perfect and you shouldn’t push yourself to perfection because it’s impossible. Everyone is unique and perfect in their own way. There isn’t one *perfect* . We all are perfect, we all aren’t. We are all human.

This song is incredibly heartbreaking. We all wear what feels like personas of ourselves--on stage, performing, and deeply fearful that who we are is not what people expect us to be. We fear that they will be disappointed when they get the know the real us. That feeling must be compounded many times for someone like Laufey. Thank you for sharing these raw feelings, and reminding us that we're all human.
One of the reasons I enjoy Laufey's music so much is that it's pleasant to listen to. So much music now is abrasive with its sound. I listen to the radio and I feel drained by the end. So many artists just talk about money and gratuitous hedonism like drug abuse. I don't understand why people don't listen to more music like this.
