- Hey coasters fanatics. This is my HD front seat on ride POV and Review of Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion, Located in Doswell, Virginia. This is a cool intamin Giga coaster with a height of 305 feet and a top speed of 90 mph and features many quick and sudden turns.This is a very Intense roller coaster. When i went through the first turn after the drop I nearly blacked out. There is so much G-Force. Probably right on the edge of whats allowed on these coasters. Still it was an awesome ride. Just another brilliant design by Intamin. I would say its a mix of Millennium Force and maverick from Cedar Point all in one coaster. Enjoy The ride. I grew up with Millennium Force and this dethroned it the second I rode it. Best roller coaster I've ridden (and yes, that includes Fury)

Hey, Coaster Fanatics! To Reach Intimidator 305, You Will First Go Past The Planet Snoopy Area, Then Enter The Safari Village Section, Then Go Past Anaconda, Backlot Stunt Coaster And Flight Of Fear And Then Approach Intimidator 305.
This ride is simply insane. The intensity only rivals Hypersonic XLC and right now out of 202 coasters it's my #2 only behind Wicked Cyclone at SFNE.

It actually is a combination of Maverick and Millennium Force. Because it features many banked turns and sharp turns very low to the ground and features the cable lift system and large airtime hills, it's considered a Millennium Force-Maverick hybrid
Tony Kim : The Maverick maneuvers though cause too much head banging at 90 miles an hour. Wish it had Millennium style restraints instead of the one's it has.
Kevin McWilliams when is the last time you rode it? They installed soft restraints which limit headbanging. They are still OTSRs, but headbanging was not an issue for me.
CampLo: Rode it this past July. There's just the one part of the ride where it does the side to side Maverick maneuvers that I didn't care for. I'm tall so I bang my head at the top of the restraint. I just like Millennium because it just has seat belts and a lap bar so you don't have that caged in feeling when the coaster is doing it's thing.
Kevin McWilliams If I305 had MF lap bars your body would be subjected to extreme whiplash through those twists.
On top of that I'd consider I305 more of a MF-Megalite hybrid rather than MF-Maverick since I305 and the megalites have very similar layouts.

Okay. So I love Nascar and Dale Jr. and as many people know, this is based off of his father. I want to ride it in honor of his father, but I have a huge fear of blacking out and heights. Uh...any suggestions for what I should do?
There's really nothing to fear. It's not gonna hurt you. I just feels weird and you kind of lose vision for a few seconds. Not much you can do about it to be honest. Sorry, wish i had an answer for you.
hey man I just have one question how were you able to film these were you using the pivot head glasses, because this would help me know.

+Angelo Giles they had no idea. they are around 100 bucks. I bought an extra battery that comes with a strap. I used the strap only and it holds the glasses down. hope this helps!
+CoasterFanatics yes it does I was contemplating if I should get this or try and use my GoPro but since it's only $100-$200$ I'll probably get one but could you do me one favor and share my video of flight of fear with lights on please and thank you.
I'm going to be going 2 KD in a couple of weeks when they open back up and I'm thinking about finnaly ridding it but im afraid of how intense the feeling that I get in my stomach is going to be. Is it all the bad?
The first turn is pretty intense but after that it's a lot like maverick at cedar point. Intimidator 305 if like a combination of millennium force and maverick if you ask me.

+TylerTheCoasterEnthusiast I wouldn't be surprised. I came very close on that first turn. I was surprised actually. never felt that way on a coaster before but is say it's a good feeling. you come right back after the turn, lol.

Its basically how it sounds. your vision goes mostly black for a few seconds, lol.
