Hey I know this is a dumb question but do pencils create dust like charcoal and graphite when blending because I heard it’s bad inhaling it that’s why I don’t use pastel because they create lots of powder and it’s bad to inhale it

Hey, in that case, I usually lay down a bunch of graphite onto a page and erase it. Then, using warm hands, knead the eraser very well to incorporate the graphite into it. Keep repeating the process until the eraser is slightly darker. The more graphite particles you can mix into the eraser, the softer it'll get. If it's way too difficult to mold, cut off long narrow pieces and do the same process. With a thin piece, you can work it more easily by stretching and twisting. As your hands build up heat, it'll become easier. Hope that helps :)
