For everyone saying this is not easy LISTEN... being a beginner doesn't mean it's easy...being a beginner means knowing the basics of something, WHEN BEGINNING...when you are a beginner in art...you know about shading, porportioning, light source, etc....the basics,, which is why it says for beginners. Thank you for this video❤
I guess that's one big difference between an average artist and a real pro. Professional artists I've met put in far more time than most people would be willing to.
I have always loved drawing but, I could never figure out a style that I enjoyed to draw. I have tried other drawing channels like Fun2draw and DrawSoCute but, those where more cartoony and I wanted to try something more realistic. So I kinda stopped draw unless I was bored and there was nothing on T.V. I was so happy when I came across your channel. I am getting an iPad Pro for my birthday (March 31) and I was most going to use it to play games and watch Netflix and RUclips. Now I can use it to draw and watch your channel! Thank you so much my passion for draw has been fulfilled again!

I have a face shading tutorial on my website but there's no video to go along with it yet, unfortunately. Here's a small tip: Use an image editing software like GIMP (it's 100% free) and "posterize" the image. It will simplify the values and make it easier for you to "see" and understand the lighting from your reference photo. Oh, I also have a general shading tutorial for beginners if you're interested. You can find it on the front page of RFA under lesson 9.
Thank you very much for your response. Looking up GIMP and how to install it on my devises. Your level of creativity inspires me to draw better when I see problems I am having explained, your a great help and thank you.
I just found your site and I can say my eyes have never looked better, not prefect but satisfying. I use a circle template to get me started and your instructions but that's it. Thanks!!
It's just amazing. I already drew two different people's eyes based on this tutorial! Unbelievable!!! Thanks a lot! I love the eyebrows part the most :D
Before I watched your videos, I used to believe that drawing and art work is a gift or talent. But ever since I've started watching your videos, I've come to realize that it's all about skill but most importantly, it's about the way you teach how to do it and I love how you draw after defining each step. You're amazing, and I love your art drawing, you're an angel 🎨😍❤🌌
It's about talent that allows you to develop skill. Talent is a very real thing. We have more than a hundred years of scientific evidence proving it. But talent is basically just a high IQ in a given area. It allows one person to learn faster than another. This is why there are nine year old kids who draw at professional level, and old people who have been trying for decades, but still aren't as good as those nine year old kids. The good news is that almost everyone has enough talent to get pretty good, or even to reach professional level, if they're willing to work hard enough. Some people are just naturally better at some things than other people are. This is just life. Before the internet and RUclips made us all forget about science, there was a rule of thumb, backed by science, that said if you didn't get pretty darned good at something, have some small success, within five years, chances are you never would succeed at that particular thing. There are exceptions to every rule, of course, but that five year rule was a good thing, and stopped a lot of people from growing old and disillusioned by failure when they could have been a genius in some other area. Anyway, talent dopes exist, and plays a part in everything, but it's no big deal because you probably have more than enough. What most people are missing isn't talent, it's work ethic and the basic common sense to know who is and who isn't a good teacher they should either listen to, or ignore completely.
I love it if all your videos are like this one you are my #1 for drawing realistic eyes I bet you are good on most of the body parts ..... Rapid Fire you are awesome

You're very talented. I've been watching similar video's on drawing faces and notice everyone, so far, draws a similar concept of beauty. That's actually not too hard to draw. I'd like to see artists illustrate with "ordinary" faces, old/young, plain/average, faces similar to what we see everyday. Wrinkles, eye bags, wayward brows, neck rolls, uneven teeth, etc. The "character" actors of the art world.
I have been drawing since I was a child, but I have a lot of trouble with shading. You have been very helpful with that problem. I have been working on my shading and hope to spend you an example of my work.
i feel like you should do a school because you really took your time and made it easy to understand and as an artist who isnt great with eyes . This was perfect. !
Thank you so much for taking your time to show your delightful sketching techniques. For me, learning how to sketch is helping me through these troubled times.

I can't even get my circles correct
Drawing circles doesn't come naturally to me either. Thankfully, it's something you can improve on over time. Check out my tutorial here. It's a good starting point for drawing circles: rapidfireart.com/2017/04/06/lesson-1-how-to-sketch/
use tools. They need to be perfect. and thats very hard to do,I practice just drawing circles alot. Theres a couple great vids just about drawing circles. check them out.

Now that i started training and studying it, i must say that your website and youtube channel are awesome and for sure are making me a better artist. you not only are a fantastic artist but also a amazing teacher!!! in times where youtube is used for a bunch of different bs, you make it make it worth it.

A simple and beautiful explanation of your hand, O artist
Thank you for making sketching possible even for beginners. You are super talented and make it seem so light-hearted and fun. May you stay blessed for sharing your crafts and learnings with the world, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
I know this was posted in 2017, and now it's 2020, but thank you so much for posting your tutorials! I've learned so much from them
This is the best video I have watched on RUclips in a really long time, thanks alot it will be so helpful in my next art
thank you so much for this tutorial. i not only learned a lot but also enjoyed it so much. i didn't think that i could do this with only my daughter's pencil, eraser and ruler. haha. love your tutorials. i'll check all the rest for sure. much love from Taiwan!
This channel is the reason why im so good at drawing.
you've explained both of my trouble areas in one video which not one video on RUclips has. Iris and lashes. thank you.
I have been drawing since I was a child, but I have a lot of trouble with shading. You have been very helpful with that problem. I have been working on my shading and hope to spend you an example of my work.
