    Thanks for the video. Does your grill come with the charcoal pan? Also after starting the fire how long do you wait to use it? Last question do you still like it? I see you made this video 3 years ago.

      @@delphiadaniels4198 Thanks for watching!!! No charcoal pan. I wait until the coals are white (best that way). I really like it, perfect for me!!!

      Going back to the pan, rewind to when I was cleaning the grates. Charcoal goes on a tray that you can raise up or down.

    • @derrickwhitley
      @derrickwhitley  3 года назад +3

      I usually place aluminum foil or aluminum pans at the bottom of the grill (under the grates). Clean-up time is easy!

      CC1830S from Home Depot. They have something from Royal Gourmet that cost more if you’re concerned about rust.

      I think you’ll like it. I’d fill an aluminum pan with coal just so the bottom wouldn’t rust. It’s exactly what I needed and I’m glad I bought it - it’s a great upgrade.

    That is not how you cook ribs. They need to be slow (250 degrees) cooked over a long time period.

    • @derrickwhitley
      @derrickwhitley  3 года назад +3

      Too much coal. Should’ve wrapped them first, just underestimated how hot the grill could get. I almost always do low and slow. Those ribs were great though!
