I have the same edger with my PAS-225 not that crappy one you showed that didn’t work well. I agree the PAS-225 is under powered with the edger. Bought the Honda Versattach system with the 35cc power head with edger, pole saw and pruning attachments. Extremely heavy system but works great for my home with plenty of power. I would not use it professionally as it is to heavy but I am sure it could take it as it is extremely well built. Have a 13 or 14 year old Honda 31cc string trimmer that still starts first pull almost ever time cold, every time warm to prove longevity. Thanks for the great video.

I noticed that around the 0:53 second mark you mentioned the Echo 225 trimmer. I have that exact one and do you see how you got that blade and whole thing attached ? I need help finding that asap!! If not I’m gonna have to go ahead and get the Echo PAS trimmer , but if I can I’d like to save some money. So whenever you see this comment could you please help me out.

I believe you would have to buy the Echo 225 edger. It is a stand alone unit and cannot be easily switched over between an edger and trimmer. The unit in this video is the PAS system (Professional Attachment System) which allows for a variety of attachments to a single power head unit.
I’m thinking of getting this to do a bank in front of the house instead of using a push mower. The hedge clipper seems like a good idea but I don’t need the expensive one.
Ok. I bought it yesterday. Not sure if I’ll use it for the mowed bank out front yet. I may need to get a strap for it since it’s pretty heavy IMO. I will say though, the amount of power is unreal. It cuts through high weeds like butter, and that’s with the orange string. I got the Black Diamond to replace it later.
I have both units the echo split shaft and the Stihl split shaft the only thing I don't like about the steel one it's got so much compression it's a pain in the asses pullover and take so much to get startedThe echoes got less compression is seems to fire up a lot smoother and easier

I agree, it’s on the heavier side, especially for extended use. But yes, very powerful and can really cut through thick growth.
