You pretty much answered a lot of my questions. The only thing that worries me is the fact that a lot of people say that the motors are bad overall. I like to take care of my cars but I wanna know for sure that it's not just me or is it just due to others negligence on maintenance..? Dude the jokes you make are hilarious and thank you for the video! The smile on your face as you drove was refreshing. You definitely earned a new subscriber.

The reliability concerns are a bit overblown. Unless you plan to track the car and pull some serious G's turning right (oil starvation when turning hard) you will be fine.
But still, it's a boxer engine. There are some Fr-s out there with 250k+ miles out there when they are 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳.

Thanks for all the love and support! Comments like this inspire me to keep going 🤍
From the people I know who owned these cars they never had any major issues, seems like a lot of it is preventable with proper car and maintenance

@@seizethespeed You're welcome man, you look like a really cool guy! I see you have G35 content too. The FRS/BRZ/86 has been on my mind lately and I definitely wanna do my research before picking one up. I've owned Hondas all my life so far. So, I wanna try my hands at something new. look forward to seeing what's in store for the channel!

I still like the FRS better… it’s a classic now plus has better steering response, no RTV issues etc.

Personally, like the styling of the frs better. The Interior of the gr is lightyears ahead

Interesting take. Although both cars have their pros and cons, my brother and I have compared ours and he even agrees his modified GR 86 isn’t as raw aka sporty of a car compared to my modified FRS. I’d argue if you already have the previous generation it’s not worth buying the new year bc of similar performance... most will modify their car anyway bringing #s closer. with that being said, the torque dip is fixed and if you were to put these cars side-by-side, the GR would barely win. But I understand looks are subjective. Both have things to offer. Personally, not worth getting into more debt if you already have a twin

The first gen will be more iconic. It has classic sports car lines and will look good in 20-30 years
