Good video Tyson, cracking on with the baling, someone told me once manufactures when making parts, make it, paint it times it by five seven, buggers 😮
Would’ve been done haying last weekend if it wasn’t for these showers. But it’s been good for the pastures. 5 inches in the past 2 weeks in all. 3 inch out of one storm alone in like a couple hours. Lodged some of my oats, so we are cutting the bigger lodged patches for greenfeed right now.
Nice big flat fields. Not much of that here in Central NY. Is there a reason you guys up North don't use kicker balers? Seems like a lot of work to pick them up off the ground. I enjoy watching you guys up there as it is nice to see how people farm differently. Always nice to finish a field. Hay here has been awful heavy this year which is a good thing. Last year was quite light.
Great to see them bales adding up, still have 40 first cut acres of my own to do and second cut on my first fields is ready to go if it would stop raining every 2 days
I know what you’re talking about for the absolute insane price on parts now, today I got a potentiometer and one shaker bushing for a 2188 and the straps and bolts to bolt together the center draper on a macdon ca20 adapter and that little box that maybe weighed 3lbs was $1600. Makes no sense
You need to check out Fast Ag Montana he has a IH large square baler and stacker that stack 3 bales You have always wanted one no stopping plus faster pickup with bales stacked
There are some jobs going to Mexico, but by no means all of them. I toured both the engine and tractor plants within the past year and they have imported casting, engine locks and other parts from Eastern Europe for a long time. JD ramped up hiring significantly in 2023 so it was unlikely they could keep hiring or even retaining jobs at the pace they were. It was also not surprising that farmers needs and ability to buy at the pace they were buying since 2020 would slow down. After the layoffs there are still about 10-15% more employees at JD than there were in 2020.
Belated happy birthday, good looking hay.

Shawn and you brothers?
Why does John Deere paint there tractors green ? So they can hide in the grass when the real tractors come by.

You mean Juan Deere. The Mexican company. They support gay farmers now.

@daleolson3506 that's what I hear...
So your saying the 81 are gay bikers too .
