I have one I carry in my purse. I keep the taser switch off, or so I thought.. one day I reached into my purse for my keys and WOW! I dropped my bag, dubbled over, and peed myself a little. It must've either got turned on when knocking against everything in my purse or I forgot to turn it off the last time I turned it on in case I needed it. This is not a guarantee to stop an assailant but, I'd say a zap to the face, neck, or groin would definitely give you a good head start. Ultimately a gun is the best form of protection and I started carrying one after finding out that this didn't even take my tiny ass down.
My Dad stunned me with this thing in the chest one time as a joke (he didn't know it would hurt so bad). I immediately crouched over and my pec was contracting for a good minute. I'm pretty built for a highschooler but perhaps if I had more bodyfat I wouldn't circum to a tiny zap so easily. I was even wearing a hoodie at the time and I still have 3 burn marks on my chest.
I have one of these after I got assaulted, and tbh I have only ever had to use it once in the 2 years I have owned it on a neighbors aggresive dog. Was dark and it charged at me in the complex off leash. I regret having to hurt the animal, but had it not been for that light I'd have gotten bitten, instead of scratched up. The neighbor to their credit admitted to being in the wrong, and now keeps their dog on leash when outside the apartment to let the dog do their buisness. It has also been useful for when the power goes out as a flashlight too. The dog also seems to have mellowed out as well.
That is NOT a “taser”, that is a stun gun. I know that doesn’t make sense since it doesn’t look like a gun, but that is they way they are labeled. Tasers are shaped like a pistol/handgun & fire two projectile metal prongs/darts that attached to thin wire. They usually have a limited range of up to 25-ish feet. Anyway a stun gun is a handheld device that doesn’t shoot anything & has to have the metal contacts touch the intended person for it to shock them. Anyway hope that helps you out.
On a good note, One of the prongs broke off on my Viper Teck and the stun would not work anymore! I promptly located the manufacturer, sent it back he repaired and sent it back free, stating that this particular model is discontinued so that was a one shot deal! However once again I have a working Viper stun gun flashlight in addition to buying a pink one for the wife!
It’s EXTREMELY loud in person and the low frequencies are a lot louder than you’d expect. It actually is a deep dumbly sound that doesn’t ever get picked up my the mics.
So my gf brought this home from her Grandparents house because they were about to throw it away but she wanted to keep it (she was not aware it was a stun-gun). Later that day I was getting ready to take my dog for a walk and when I went to grab a flashlight. I noticed the new addition to the bin. I thought that the "firing" button was the on switch for the light, and when I pressed it the whole closet lit up blue and the thing was so loud I totally panicked and dropped it. My Dad thought the whole thing was hilarious and after we both played around with it for awhile he decided he would use it on me. He didn't realize how lethal it was and just sent it at my ribs. I'm writing this a week later and I still have 3 mole-size burn marks on my ribs (I was even wearing a hoodie at the time of the stun).
My brother bought me one of these which is very nice but the only thing I don't like about it is you don't have time to pull the damn thing out of your purse and turn it on on the bottom then turn it on on the top. I mean its good if you know you're going somewhere unsafe or something and have it ready but otherwise you've got to be digging this big thing out ....it's not something that you can do too quickly.
Ive has one of these for a couple years and just got zapped when trying to plug it into the wall for charging. I thought I had hit the switch but no, it zapped me again. Be careful with this thing.
A lot of people don't realize with stun guns if you ever activate the stun gun and don't use it against someone there could still be a residual charge in it. Anytime you activate the stun aspect before putting it away you should touch the end of it to a piece of metal to discharge whatever is left in it. I didn't know that the first time I got a stun gun and was playing around with it and just went to holster it when I was done and as soon as it went into the holster which I was holding in my hand I got shocked.
You reviewed the product based on its sound effects and visuals. This is the kind of product that in a review i fell should analyze the quality of the shock. I would also like to have seen in review how easy or hard it was to use product on someone. Meaning is there certain places i had to place on person. Can i shock them thru their shirt and jacket or does it need skin contact? Certain products can be reviewed based on sound effects and visuals, their appearance etc. but i dont feel this is this type product.
Absolutely, I have been looking for some video that's reviews these things with some common sense in my mind but this world is kinda screwed in that department. 🤣
Interesting that the arca have a 50hz frequency to them. Means it’s manufactured in a 50hz country probably. (The inverter turns the DC into AC , before anyone says anything in response to my comment. lol)

My mom just recently got me one of these for my safety cause she is always worried for my safety especially since I am living on my own now. Do you have to have a permit or anything for this? From what I have seen so far I don't. Most states don't even require a permit or anything. And it's legal in most states as well. So I am just trying to clear up some confusion cause the one who told me that I need a license of whatever for it is know to be a pathological liar. Sorry for any confusion guys.
A taser is more commonly used by police, and fires harpoons/fishhooks that carry electric current. They're designed to disable, while a stun gun is designed for pain compliance.
I have replaced those bulbs but it is not an easy job. They contain an LED bulb soldered directly to a circuit board which provides cooling. It would probably be cheaper to replace the device. You will need soldering experience and a super bright LED of the same voltage as the one to be replaced. Chances are the LED is fine but one of the cables us broken. Did you drop the flashlight?
I just got mine in a couple days it's pretty awesome but I don't knowI was walking around for about 30 minutes nothing fancy just casually I had it hooked on my beltnext thing I know it falls to the ground I'm like w t h I noticed that that hook broke off. I put it on today you saying the slots where the flashlight is which actually sets a little higher. Well let's just say the thing is off. I was getting some stuff out of my friend's car so I was bent over and all of a sudden I felt this piercing sensation like I was stabbed and I was like what the heck and then I started notice a shocking feeling and then when I moved more I heard the stun gun off. And I was like oh snap the shocking feeling started to get more intense and I'm like just trying to get this thing away from me I think it was actually digged into my skin. I was able to get it on the light mode. I don't know I would say probably a good 5 to 10 seconds it didn't knock me down or anyting at first I was kind of like wow that's all and then it really started to catch up. My friend was like are you okay he's like is your heart rate fast I was like no I don't think so I'm shaking though yeah I can see that. But it was weird the way that my hands and arms were shaking it was different it kind of reminded me of a big truck idling. I mean it could have been the adrenaline or or am I nervous system. But yeah I was a little messed up for a good 5-10 minutes. I wasn't really disoriented or anyting it was more the shaking. So a my opinion could it take a grown man idk I guess it depends I'm about 511 205 lb at the present. But I can tell you I'm definitely not looking forward to getting zapped again. I would still recommend just make sure that switch on the bottom is off because if it's on and that side lever is switch to stun and you somehow press that button you're going to end up like me. I would also invest in a better pouch they really suck. I also have another stun gun from vipertek VTS 989 - 1 I think this one's a lot more powerful. But from what I'm seeing they're both more powerful than a police taser just these don't actually shoot prongs into you which would probably actually amplify damage. But yeah I would recommend getting 2 is better LOL just be careful... Tx
