Back in the 70' and early 80' was White/Western Star. White and the Western Star was a same cab. It is same as the White Road Commander 2 cab.

I was thinking the same thing. My dad had an early 80’s White cabover. Wasn’t somewhere around the mid-late 80’s they changed to Volvo/White or White/GMC? I can’t remember which order they changed before finally becoming Volvo.
They became Volvo/White in the early 80's and in 1987 GM bought them and they became Volvo/White GMC

Is it 3406 Cat engine? Hoping for 60 series Detroit.
Yes it is a Cat engine. Was available Cat, Cummins, or Detroit. The Detroit 60 series, inline-6 engine was introduced in 1987.
Thought if detroit it had been another engine
475hp 3406E or C15. My father had a 3406A 325hp pulled like a train .
Also has the caterpillar brake saver.
