Not enough money :( Although it's pretty hilarious that F1 presents itself as defender of human rights but then there is GP in Saudi-Arabia and Bahrain for example. Meanwhile Finland is the safest place to live for individuals who belong to some kind of minority. But no GP for us :(
@@eholanda01 Yeah and that shows the hypocrisy of FIA. They just show middle finger to human rights with decision to race in these countries. FIA makes lot more profit hosting race in undemocratic countries. Same thing with FIFA and Olympics.
Looks _decent._ The only issue is that the layout is incredibly twisty, there's only two real straights that aren't necessarily that long, but the first one of those, which is the pit straight, has a blind hairpin that follows it, allowing for a hard braking zone, obviously extremely good for overtaking.
Great video my friend! I remember this was one of my requests. Thanks for having another one delivered. But I missed the race track information. Track size, record etc... Do you at least know its length? I don't know how it is today but it seems to me that Helsinki is able to receive a street track for F1. If not there at least in Kymiring! It would be great as Finland has long deserved to have a F1 race! Great lap once again, congratulations!!
The old Sörnäinen harbour where this circuit was partly located in has become a residential area (and when it comes to city center the streets are mostly cobblestone-like) so it would be pretty much impossible to hold a street race there these days. And if it was possible, there would be loads of nimbys complaining about the noise, as it has happened during festivals held inside this area the couple of years before covid.
This track gives me traumatic flashbacks to Project Gotham Racing. Claustrophobic city streets and really awkward turn combinations all over the place, here. This place scares me.
With the prevalence of Finnish drivers in F1, not to mention champions like Kimi Räikkönen and Mika Häkkinen, why is there not a Finnish Grand Prix?! MotoGP finally got a race at the new KymiRing in Kausala...... I'll be glad to take a Hermann Tilke track in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku or Oulu, just give them a Grand Prix!
fun fact this track would have hosted f1 in 2010 in f1´s breakaway gpwc before they rejoined f1
Where can I find more about the GPWC
@@Looocath idk i guess for basics wtf1 has a pretty good video on it
@@formula31 ok, I’ll look up that video
Finland is one of those countries I'm mega surprised doesn't hold an F1 race

@@Bruh-jr2ep yeah, it sucks, especially because you guys are A) in Europe, and B) the birth place of some of the greatest names in F1 history
@@Bruh-jr2ep yeah, but you said yourself: Saudi Arábia and Bahrain have a lot of money ! Not the case of Finland.

@@Bruh-jr2ep it would make sense to race in Finland. Bottas and Raikkonen deserve a home race.
Waiting for Kymi Ring from Finland :)
With Kimi Raikkonen onboard.

Singapore: I am very bumpy
Helsinki: Hold my salmiakki
As a Finn I can confirm that saying "Hold my beer" is about as accurate :)
This is a perfect track for IndyCar.
But many corners
Someone once said no overtakes
I guess Finland took that seriously.
The esses sector is quite good

Bottas P3, I see what you did there 😎
Seems very fun for Formula 3.
Imagine Kimi or Bottas win a race in Helsinki
That's a real street circuit. Not like all that crap today.
This almost feels like a precursor to Jeddah
My suggestion for the next track: Road America, in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
Could u please make a lap with the mclaren f1 gtr 1997 of J. J. Lehto? He is my favourite driver of the 90s and i also love the mclaren f1!
Could you please now do Kymiring?
Please do an onboard on the Igora Drive track
If you can

The track length was 3.180 and the 1996 record for the circuit was a 1:26.577

Awesome track but please don't give F1 an idea for another city track :D
Also, where the f is the pit entry???
Pits are parallel to S/F straight but in opposite direction (entry T2, exit T5)
@@junafani1 Oh wow....didn't see that. Thank you!
This track would be great for Formula E
uhm... there's no circuits of Daytona usa saga in Asseto?
Hungary Pannonia Ring Please :)
I'm asking you to put this video down before anyone at Liberty Media sees it and thinks "oh, another street circuit to add to the calendar" !
About time m8
Let’s go!
So can you do Igora Drive its a FIA grade 1 motorsport complex near Saint Petersburg and looked as a replacement for Sochi to host the Russian GP
Link does not work anymore.
Current link pls
you should do a hotlap of bellahoj park
Im from finland and my friend got married in one of the buildings there😂😂
why does this circuit feel so familiar to the CART Streets of Vancouver?
Is it just me or it is so bumpy here?
It is bumpy. Trust me.
This track is kinda...confusing a bit
How are we supposed to download this track?
