Come journey with us on our 7 day fun packed trip from Tampa Florida to Lisbon Portugal & then onto the southern most part of Portugal, the Algarve. We try Flix Bus for the 1st time. A budget Bus/Coach option which we pick up at the Oriente train/bus station after a short taxi ride from the airport.
4 hours later we have arrived in the Algarve, and we set up our base in a beautiful traditional Portuguese house in the heart of the historic city of Lagos. If you're looking for a place to stay we can highly recommend

Exhausted after a long 36 + hours we take a stroll through the stunning historical town of Lagos & head out to the Adega da Marina, a local traditional Portuguese restaurant serving up fresh locally caught seafood, grilled chicken Piri Piri (spicy)
Full & extremely content, we stroll back to our Casa & sit on the roof terrace taking in the beautiful city vistas as the sun sets....It's a perfect ending to a long day...
Excited for what tomorrow will bring, we fall into a deep sleep :D

What a trek to get there, but it looks nice and relaxing once you both arrived. Was this before your cruise last year? Did you compare busfares with the local line or was Flixbus the only one running at the time?
Yes! It was quite the trek .. but flying from JFK over to Lisbon makes for a quicker flight time! Re the buses .. the Portuguese buses didn’t go to Lagos at that time of year & we wanted to try FLIX as we had heard mixed reviews.. can’t fault them, super value for money, spotlessly clean, & extremely punctual! We loved staying in Lagos at it was the perfect base to go out & explore! If you’re doing a TA from Europe back to USA it’s a perfect opportunity to tag on a week or so of exploring.. so that’s what we did before our TA on the NCL VIVA .. 🥳🛳️
@@travelflirts3825 Thanks for reply. I am also eyeing Flix for later this year, but was a bit leary due to accidents. 0:02 However they run so often it is a neglectable number of those.
Laura, you should give them a try! The coach driver was great & seemed very experienced.. he certainly knew his vehicle!
