- I have been using The Magic 5 goggles for a a few weeks and this is my honest review and thoughts around what I have found out.

Update - Magic 5 have now refunded my goggles and their customer service is second to none! Maybe will do some sort of giveaway with some of mine as I have no use for them...let me know if you'd all be interested?
Hi, I am sorry that it did not work for you this time but I am happy to hear that you received a refund. Right now, less than 4% of our customers require adjustments to their goggles. Less than 1% of them end up with a refund after adjusting the pair based on their feedback. I've got two pairs of the Magic5s as well but they leak for me too.. on the right eye.. they have wildly different gaskets on them - I gave up on them after much playing around trying to get them to seal to my face. I use Swans SRX in the pool and they fit great. Open water I like the Huub Varga. But I guess it's pot luck what fits.
Guess that is the luck of the draw then with these goggles. Thanks for the recommendation will look into those and I'm currently using the speedo fast skin elite to success although still compromising on comfort a little.
That's a shame, I have had one pair for two years, never fogged or leaked. I now have a second set now for racing, they are exactly the same, no leaks and comfortable fit.
You're a lucky fella then! Yeh I've heard loads of good success stories, so sure they do work for some.

I was looking at the magic 5 but have been put off by the hit and miss reviews. I use orca killa 180’s and haven’t really had any issues other than a bit of fogging which was caused by me rubbing them a bit too much and removing the anti fog. They’re only cheap so maybe worth a try?
Thanks Mate for your input - will have a look at those. I'm tempted to do some sort of giveaway with the ones I have as I have no use for them. Maybe just maybe they might work for someone else?
I like the comfort level of mine but they leave an indentation under my eyes that creates puffiness that lasts at least 12 hours. it makes me look like I've been on a weekend bender. I've tried to loosen the straps...but still a problem. Any advice?
No mate. I don’t use them for the reasons set out in the video so can’t help I’m afraid.
TYR Socket Rockets are the only goggles I will wear. I have had zero leaks they are the first goggles I've worn that don't squash my nose.

I got a pair and they do not leak when they are not very tight on your head. I wasn’t sure about the scan but it must have been good enough.
Yeh tried tightening them but the whole idea is not so tight that they are uncomfortable.
Maybe you need to rescan, they stand behind their product.
Yeh possibly. Willing to try again at some point as the are top goggles!
That's so surprising to see just how physically different the left Vs right eye is. It's visibly so different in the way it's made. Glad they refunded you and their customer service is good.
Yeh mate, not sure if the scans were just off and I was unlucky. A shame really.

OK you need tips on googles from a swimmer.
1. Don’t touch the inside of the lens with you your finger ( that’s why it fogs up).
2. To get ride of fog wash with dish soap inside the goggle to kill the oils from your fingers. That’s why they fog up
3. Also the goggles that you use aren’t that good
4. Just look up pro swimmers googles. Googles do fit just get a great pair like speedo vanquisher

Dude I’m back to my old predator flex. The weird thing though is I used the magic 5s in Dubai and they worked fine in the pool and open water. As soon as I went back home and back in the pool - leaky leaky again. The Speedo fast skin (I think) hurt my eyes so I’m a bit gutted as want these to work!
Such a personal thing eh, marketing hype and 'special' features are worth nothing if they aren't comfortable, leak or fog up in use.
After trying several brands/styles I found that TYR nest pro's work best for me, worth a try of you haven't already.....
