Close to 40 minutes, so again: time-stamps to the rescue! 2:09: Tuning (but pleeease watch the part before that as well, as I messed up in the video) 3:16: Intro 11:34: Verse 1 17:58: Chorus 1 27:33: Verse 2 28:09: Chorus 2 30:20: Interlude 31:25: Verse 3 33:52: Chorus 3 35:00: Ending Grab your guitar and have fun!
This is so challenging for the fingers but absolute great way to exercise and advance my skill level , thank you very much to set aside your time and knowledge in teaching us, much appreciated. :)
First im finishing up the song i'm on, then im moving onto this! I think it looks a little challenging, but within my wheelhouse! love the different elements, and the percussive click saves time so you can really jam out without paying too much attention to the timing, but that might just be an intermediate breakthrough im having.
Thanks Tim, for this beautiful arrangement. I'm a beginner and this is by far the hardest arrangement I've tried to learn, but it's been a ton of fun these last couple of days
Well, this isn't the easiest arrangement to tackle as a beginner, but there are a lot harder songs as well. Delighted to hear you're having fun with the tune!
@@owllinux it certainly is my intention of going back to more own arrangements! Right now I'm a bit gridlocked in Tommy Emmanuel-tutorials, but that is what my Patreons pay for. As soon as I have built up a reserve of songs I'll start doing other songs too!
@@TimVanRoy Tim, pardon me for being so bold to say that you often seriously underestimate yourself and your skill appeal. Your own arrangements are fantastic! Pls check out Josh Lee Turner and see what happened to his Sultans of Swing when he was in high school. Hungry guitarists eat this stuff up and it gives us hope to improve and pure joy listening to you accomplished players and eventually ourselves as we make some progress. And... it seems you are just one kool, terrific human bean! Thx for being you and sharing it!! More TVR please as you can sir!
Beautiful arrangement. Great tutorial; I usually like to learn from printed tabs but your explanations of tapping and the time stamps are most helpful. Any possibility of having a Patreon site to acquire pdfs of your many delightful tabs (works financially very well for guitarnick and also for his donators ) Thank you , Tim
Omg man. You are brilliant, so happy I found your channel!! I’ve had a long pause from playing the guitar but now I feel that I want to start again thanks to you . I hope you have more mj songs otherwise I’ll check out the rest eventually. What is the brand and model of your guitar? Best regards from Sweden
Hi Aziz, great to hear that you feel inspired to pick up your guitar again! In this video I use a Mayson MS 7. I'll be launching my own website soon, including a request board. So start thinking about which MJ songs you'd like me to tackle 😉
Great Video.. my one Note however is you should ALWAYS HAVE THE TAB on the screen. Stop taking it off every few seconds. no matter what you are showing us those notes are always on screen melody bass notes whatever. Just keep it posted. Its WAY WAY WAY more effective
Thanks for your input, I'll have a look at it. But so far I haven't had other people ask to change this. I rather like the look of the guitar angle with the tab underneath, and a more clean (less cluttered) video shot when I'm explaining something... I tried putting the tab underneath the video throughout and it looked quite messy. In the ideal world everyone gets the tab on Patreon (for just a few bucks) and I don't have to put in tabs at all! 😎 It's a very tedious and time consuming bit of work.

👏👏👏👏👏
Do you play the open 2nd string in the first part of the intro
I mean to, but I often forget ;-) It sounds fine if you leave it out!
Didn’t know Jean Claude Van Damme played great finger style guitar!
I'm going to show this comment to my wife. 🤣

Can you describe what you are doing through the hole song. You are skipping to the next part so fast.

its called a trill not an embellishment
Noted, but no promises on future videos. As English is not my mother language some words come and go during the recording of videos!
sorry found it
Great! 😂
That tapping ruined it
