    The previous version with the front grille looks more appealing. Without front grille, it looks plain and boring.. mg kept the charging port at front, which affected the looks even more with the cutout for it.. Provide some sort of fake grille that doesn't affect aerodynamics

    As a nexon EV driver who doesn’t venture out of the city with the EV
    Trust me the 210-220km of real world range on the nexon is very good for the city, there is no point shelling out an extra 8-9L for a MG
    If you just remain in the city, the only advantage the MG has over the nexon is that you will probably plug it in less frequently- that’s about it 😅😂

  • @Amuzic_Earth

    About that "Worrying" part to plan and find charging stations- Most EV users really enjoy driving their vehicle to the limit(of their range) and continuously push as to how far they can go literally and figuratively. That's part of the fun and thrill. While they are at it, the chances of getting stalled is very low, the worst case scenario is one might have to drive really slow during their last leg of the trip. Maybe a downer for people with anxiety issue, but most people get the fun aspect out of it once they are used to. So, it may sound counter intuitive but once you own an EV, you will drive/ride more than you would on an ICE. That's not just my opinion(though holds completely true for myself as well) but several studies have shown that.

  • @venkateshnaidu2133
    @venkateshnaidu2133 2 года назад +7

    Disagree with the last point, now is NOT the right time to get an EV for most people. 1-2 years from now, we'll have plenty of options at a competitive prices!

  • @iamsid23
    @iamsid23 2 года назад +4

    The point mentioned under charging is true. There is just one charging gun in most of the charging station and that is a bummer. There needs to be more guns in each charging station.
    Long trips are doable but with lot of planning.

    I say nice explanation. But it's more focused about convenience which we are already aware of.. We interested more about driveability how it perform in a straight line how it react to acceleration.. How quick with peddle like 0 to 100... It would be great.. ❤

    MG Hector Diesel costs around 20 lakh on road. This EV Max will cost around 27 lakhs on road. So basically I am paying 7 lakhs more. And despite paying 7 lakhs more there is always a risk of battery discharge on a long journey. Also the battery strength will deplete over the years. A new car might give 450 km range on full charge. Maybe after 5 years that might come down to 350-370 kms. There is no video mentioning that.
    Also, when i buy a diesel car, I am saving 7 lakhs rupees. And I can easily use that 6 lakh rupees towards my diesel cost over the years. Lets do a simple math. Lets assume major diesel cars are used 12000 kms a year. Not everybody travels extensively. Assuming that the average mileage is 15 km per lit, it will consume 800 lit diesel in a year. At 100 rs per liter, that will cost me Rs 80000 per year.......that is rs 640000 in 8 years...........which is the battery warranty duration in the EV. Also after 8 years, you might have to replace the battery, the cost of which is not known as yet.
    I would prefer buying a petrol or diesel car rather than an EV,

    Thank You for this amazing video.
    For the price, the exclusive model is not a good buy.
    Especially when it’s missing the following :-
    -Ventilated seats
    -Top notch speakers (8 speakers) with sub woofer
    -Seats with memory functions
    -Delayed touch screen (camera quality is not that much of an issue)
    -Second row leg space (A big bummer) & unfortunately Hyundai Kona as well face the same issue.
    But - the *excite* variant is a good deal and majority of the booking would be for that model.

      There are multiple options to charge an ev.
      1. 15 amp plugpoint like our mobile.
      This takes 18 hrs.
      2. AC to DC convertor which the company will install at at home free of charge after buying the car. This takes some 7 or 8 hrs.
      3. Fast charger which will take an hour.
      If you remember to plug in the charger at home everyday charging won't be an problem. And if your house already has gone solar you'll be driving around for free.
