- This is the original unedited full length clip of a very rough pacing shot along Goffs Road. Although I'd expressed the desire to do this shot, no-one was prepared to drive for me, so when Simmo yelled out "Erin, do you want to do a pacing shot of that one ?" I jumped at the opportunity - but I also jumped into his vehicle and mine had all my gear in it - so once we left, I realised I didn't have my wizzy-do microphone I needed. So the end result is a sound track with a lot of wind noise. Never mind - pretty pictures though. This is totally unedited and un-cut, so you can hear me talking to Simmo and you'll see all my adjustments as well. It looks as though I'm just going to have to go back to the USA and re-film it...
We started off stationary and just before we started slowing down, Simmo called out that we were doing 75 mph. Holy smoke !! Rental cars - they're incredible. Thanks to Dave Simpson for driving.
that was the slowest takeoff in existence
Awesome! Thank you!
Excellent job! Neat to see "clean" units hauling a hot shot intermodal. BNSF certainly seems to have their game together.
Thanks - as a tourist visiting the USA, the difference between the shiny and clean BNSF locos and the filthy UP locos was amazing. To see the US flag covered in grime was disheartening to say the least.
Work of Art!
15:40 say goodbye to that high speed screamer
gotta love those big G.E.s.
Excellent!!!
nice vid this is when electric would be an advantage imagine all the re gen power
Great Shot!
nice BNSF GEVO'S they got there! what are those???? ES44AC'S or ES45CTE'S?
Why do those trains accelerate very slow
Thousands of tons dead weight. In this case they’re starting the train under gravity it seems and rolling right into the dynamics.
