Ok so this is like 5 yrs too late but... listening to your buddies questions tells me he is a dude with some serious chops for gaming! Nice addition to this episode. Hope you guys are still out there somewhere still dropping the bones and reading the signs
I think you might be really underestimating the Thrill Seeker fighting art; it's a very good one to pick! With the rawhide set, whenever you spend survival to do a survival action, on a 6+ you gain a survival. Thrill seeker makes this so you gain 2 points of survival on a 6+. So rawhide set on a Thrill Seeker means you, on average, gain as much survival as you spend! Also helps with various other ways to gain survival during a showdown (e.g. by picking acanthus plants, on a perfect hit using a bone dagger, on a few hit locations / critical reactions etc.)
I mentioned the Rawhide Armor Thrill Seeker combo a short while ago. He seemed excited about it, but may have some videos recorded ahead. We may need to wait a bit to see our advice come into play.
The hands pretty much have to be individual for most of them because of the angles. No way to split it. That said, the Phoenix was an incredibly easy model to build as 99% of the hands only fit right in one spot.
I know what your problem is... Your dice rolls have been really bad since you stopped trying new beverages on camera! Find something new to drink and get the dice gods back on your side.
Wow, I never even made that connection! The unfortunate thing is that for the last month or so, I've been on a healthy lifestyle kick (eating, exercising), and all the fun beverages are a no-go.. I can't imagine sparkling water will help my rolls.. But maybe I'll give it a shot :)

Remember a key rule to The Hand: You do not remove cards from the AI deck on wound.
