    Nice job, keep up the good work. Some blue tape on the drains will keep splatter n sealer off n make it that much nicer for end product. Also some more in between shots before finished product would be great. I know it’s tough when doing concrete as it waits for no one, but to make your channel grow it would be very beneficial. You have a lot of knowledge and that’s what peeps wanna hear so they can learn. Explanation of steps n what you use in mix design n stuff is good. There is a great channel you should maybe watch to see what I’m talking about as he explains so much n gives many details. Again yin’s is what tubers want so they can learn as well as see the process.

    Thanks for this video. Looks like you used gravel to prep the area along with wire. I am having this work done on my driveway. One contractor said they place gravel with no wire at the base before pouring thr cement and another contractor said they fill the area with dirt and lay down wire before pouring the cement. Is gravel better than dirt? Is it OK to not use wire? Contractor said dirt is not good because it will cause the concrete to Crack when it rains, says gravel is better.

    • @Concretewiththehauses
      @Concretewiththehauses  2 года назад +1

      Gravel is better. over 4 inches it still needs compacted.will it be able to drain somewhere because the gravel will hold water it needs under drainage. We always use reinforcement

    just wondering why you put a saw cut in the under side of the drains.also, you didnt show it, but did you take that center form board out or left it in.. .i dont know what it is but people always seem to build garages way to low, i guess they finger they save a little on gravel. i built my pad up 2 feet above grade to have great run off,, a buddy of mine when he did his, he had a transit an all, and i drove in well he was putting the re-bar in, i told him, your going to have a river running in side, i could see with my eyes, he said no way it is 6" high, i told him no it 7" low, well he kept on, that fall his doors was frozen in 6" of solid ice and so was his truck tires.. after a freeze up right after a heavy rain, then 3 feet of snow,,

    So I get that you had a little pitch toward the garage, hence the drain, and you said some pitch towards the right. But explain the forms that was sitting down the middle of the driveway. Because you had the form there but we don’t see in the video when you take it out and fill it back in with concrete. I don’t do residential work so this is new to me. Maybe it’s something super obvious. So excuse my blonde moment. Thanks 😅

      We use Chapin sprayers and it’s about the best we can find. they would last longer is we could them cleaner but we use so many different chemicals in them that they last about 4-6 months. I get them from Shop Supply Company or AR Chambers but they are on amazon here: Chapin International 1949 Chapin Industrial Viton Open Head Sprayer for Professional Concrete, 4, Red www.amazon.com/dp/B00002N8O8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_RQCQ2963PSQVHNNRM4QE

    • @firsttimejimmy9791
      @firsttimejimmy9791 3 года назад

      Awesome! Yeah sometimes the costs of keeping them clean are more than just buying new ones every couple of months! I’ll use it with deck and house cleaners. So, I’ll probably just run water through a couple of times after each use, to dilute the chemicals to where it’s practically inert

      Concrete pumps are pretty expensive and it wasn’t that much for a wheelbarrow.

    • @jrzef350
      @jrzef350 3 года назад

      Yeah, but you can augment your pay. You don't want to be in your 50s troweling concrete. You can run a pump service, and basically do a 10 yard pour in

    • @GunpowderandFreedom
      @GunpowderandFreedom 3 года назад

      @@jrzef350 pump services in our area run around $1,100 per job. The 15ft wheel was faster and way more cost effective for the customer. There is a way to make every single aspect of this type of job easier, but most people won’t pay what that cost would be. Declan Rice will be proven to be a bad buy for 105m. Rice is only good at breaking up play and passing backwards or sidewards. He has no goals in him and does the cleaning up job. But why do Arsenal want a "clean up man" for 105m when they already play with superior possession? Trossard is not a good buy. Flash in the pain in the first season, shadows this season.
