Three times I tried to buy a Senator, but always fell through. In the end I bought a 1994 Toyota Celica in 1998, and still drive it to this day, so didn't do too badly.
I had one - E300BNC - and it began to leak from the air con into the passenger footwell. I was told this was common and the fix involved getting the entire dash out to get to the unit behind. I part exchanged it soon after but I wish that I had borrowed the money or something as it was an excellent ca in every other respect. I have had two Omegas since but the Senator was better.
I have the 2.6i 1992 one. I need a few difficult to get hold of spares. The main one is a circular plate which fits into the petrol tank where the flow and return fuel lines connect to the tank. It has perished and wheeping. Can anyone help?
All of the significant rust you see in this video (arches, boot sill, driver door) were repaired early summer 2023 and the cause of the rattly exhaust (tin can eBay special silencer) was replaced. Car was looking great, but sadly I had to sell it late summer and it now lives somewhere up in Scotland.
This Era was when Vauxhall reached their peak as I see it.

Had the Royale in the late 70,s, great motor till the head gasket went and i moved it on.
