In this episode, Zane Griggs argues that the rise in metabolic diseases is closely linked to the increased consumption of processed foods. He emphasizes that these diseases were rare before processed foods, which now constitute 60-70% of the average American diet, became prevalent. Processed foods, which include refined oils, sugars, and grains, are nutritionally deficient and highly palatable, leading to overconsumption and metabolic dysfunction. He suggests eliminating processed foods should be the first step toward improving health.
Zane also discusses healthier fat alternatives, advocating for butter, tallow, and coconut oil over processed oils. He expresses skepticism about the quality of olive oil available in the market. Additionally, he differentiates between whole grains in their natural form and highly processed grain products like cereal and bread, which he argues are marketed misleadingly as healthy. Zane advises against foods like oatmeal and processed grains, suggesting non-starchy fruits and vegetables instead. He stresses the importance of addressing diet seriously, especially for those over 40 who are insulin-resistant and overweight.
Later, Zane emphasizes the importance of animal protein for fat loss due to its superior assimilation and nutrient density compared to plant-based sources. He suggests that animal protein, accompanied by its fats, improves satiety, making it easier to change eating habits and curb appetite. Zane recommends consuming 0.8 to 1 gram of protein per pound of ideal body weight.
Tune in as Zane underscores the necessity of strength training for fat loss, as it enhances insulin sensitivity and builds lean muscle mass, which serves as a storage for glucose. This process helps in managing blood sugar levels and reversing weight gain. He advises integrating strength training into a routine, suggesting two to three sessions per week for beginners and complementing it with light cardio post-strength training for optimal results.

The area you are in is bouncing sound off the hard surfaces - making it too echoey - think about putting up something like drapes or using an area with softer surfaces - extreme would be, broadcasting from under a duvet.
That said, it was worth listening to.

The distinction MUST be made between processed foods like turning milk into cheese vs ULTRA processed foods that is taking REAL food, breaking it down to its separate component parts, then making it more shelf friendly, uniformed for packaging and processing and for maintaining a default in taste, texture, moisture content and so-called nutritional structure.
Potato vs Chips as one example.
Seed oils - cleaning, drying dehulling, size reduction, bleaching / cooking, flaking and tempering, is one of two products, the other being soda, that should be avoided as much as possible.
We all know or should know - that there are NO vegetables in vegetable oil. So misleading and so inflammatory, I am surprised that they can even use that, as a description. More like...Chemical Gu.
