I did a full cycle of peptides for fat loss/muscle. I am healthy normal weight 60+ woman. Didn’t notice much difference, if any in fat %. A meat protein-focused diet with good fats has helped most (plus resistance exercise).Need scientific human studies on efficacy before I pour any more money into it.

I am 63. I have new doctor who said 80+ year old female patients have lost weight on low fat protein / no dairy diet … basically just eating meat (chicken, beef, fish) and eggs. Not like you need to do it forever. What I found for myself was eating eggs helped my fat burning due to choline, so try to eat 2-4 eggs per day. I drink black coffee and water with sugar free electrolytes (includes Magnesium which also helps with fat burning). Maybe try something like this. Can include green vegetables but don’t have to. Meat alone is pretty satiating. Pretty boring diet so easy to not overeat. My doctor said once I lose the weight I want to, then start adding in whole food carbs. Some unprocessed whole food fats.

Diet and exercise are first order effectiveness and most important. Glp1s for fat loss, aod9604 (for some people) as an add on, and GH secretegogs for muscle building. If you're over 50 though I would be looking at exogenous GH rather than the secretegogs. Also, significant human studies on all of these except aod(there are some, proven unreliable, some people don't respond well)

I can't tell you how nice it is to hear an M.D. admit that he doesn't know everything. I've been to so many who think that medical school has taught them everything they need to know, and they never question what they've learned, get curious, or engage in critical thinking. Thank you for deciding to be humble, Dr. Seeds! That, in my opinion, is how medicine will find answers!

I would love to know what collagen peptides Dr. Seeds is referring to. He says, "they actually come that way", implying that the product he uses comes in 5mg servings. Almost all collagen peptides are made with cow hides, which is only type I and III collagens. There are many types of collagens in the body.

Hey, Max. Love your podcast and this episode was great! I saw Dr. Seeds on Mind Pump, too. I don't know if you read the comments but I just wanted to speak up about your cat's annual dentals. I am assuming you feed your kitty kibbled or canned or otherwise highly processed foods. That's a HUGELY contributing factor to your kitty's dental issues. If you can switch to a species appropriate raw meat based diet for your little carnivore, this issue may completely dissappear entirely. I was a vet tech/UC Davis bound pre-veterinary student in the mid-1980s when I finally figured out how damaging a cereal based diet was for my own cat (at 9 years of age, she was given 3 months to live. I switched her to a raw diet and she went through such a profound and dramatic transition that I actually dropped out of vet school, had a big life crisis and moved to a remote property in Oregon, where I re-educated myself on Natural Rearing ways to heal animals and went on to get a degree in English Lit, did other professions. That cat lived until 21 years old and NEVER saw another vet, was astoundingly healthy and reverse aged. It was wild.) Anyway, this has been my passion since 1988 and this is now my vocation and business. But I'm not here to sell you my food, I just want you to know I'd be happy to help you get your kitty onto a good diet that will likely improve her health so much that her need for dentals would be no more. None of my cats have ever needed dentals they have gorgeous clean teeth well into their 20s. And zero veterinary needs anymore. Anyway..if you haven't looked into it, please reach out. I usually charge for Nutritional Consultations but it would be an honor and pleasure to support you to make this change for your kitty's well-being and chances for a longer, healthier life! 😻🍗🙌

When you are obease and lose weight, your muscles are not tone, firm or engaged to what you would like. vs what they do on a regular basis. They feel the fat mass going away and go with it. Fasting for me did that early on. Last year. Strength went down big time. But fasting now with regular muscle use, they stick around and strength stays up.

@@crunkin1t590 I did, however what people (including myself) need to realize is how much it costs to run a cycle. You're looking at 12 weeks. I stopped at 4 because of cost. The blend I was getting is $110 a vial for a 5 on 2 off cycle. This dose is also at the lower end. So unless you're willing to drop over $1300 in 3 months for results you could get by diet and level 2 cardio then I would recommend NOT even bothering. There are way more effective things out there. You're probably looking to loose a little body fat? If that's the case, do the work, get a meal plan, track those calories by weighing your food in grams, and do 1 hr of incline walking instead of risking your wallet and health over this stuff. There are side effects on the label. Good luck!
