I hate when people say Wick did it all over the dog. It was what the dog represented. His wife sent him a puppy after her death so he wouldn’t be lonely and forget how to love. He’s an assassin, I bet that was the first time he ever cried.

    Great list, I'd also add:
V for Vendetta: The V Speech.
    Death (Supernatural)

The original star wars. My uncle said in the theaters when the ship flew past in the first seconds of the film he thought. " thats a big ship. " then a few seconds later when the star destroyer keeps flying overhead and just kept coming he said. " Oh no, thats the big ship!"

I had the privilege of seeing Star Wars A New Hope, at Grahmans Chinese Theater in Hollywood. With the advanced sound of the time. I was 10!

Another great entrance was when Steve Rogers interrupted the attack on Wanda Maximoff and Vision in “Avengers : Infinity War.”

Rogue One is, imo, the most realistic entry in the saga. Everyone dies, its not all warm and cuddly. And yes, Darth Vaders entrance at the end was fkn spectacular.

    • @Wezqu

The entrance is spectacular and not just because it shows how deadly he is but also because the rebels who know they are going to die and still not giving an inch of that hallway without him having to take it. Even when they get disarmed nobody backs away except the one who tries to get the gun of the guy at the door with the plans and get slammed to the wall as the reward of his effort.

I was 7 years old in 1977 when Star Wars came out and got to see it at an old style huge cinema. The initial scene with the Star destroyer was literally jaw dropping.

I had the same experience, magnified because the movie was being played in a 785 seat, single screen theatre and the only seat I could get was down in the front row!

I recall reading Harry Potter growing up but the book that held my attention the most had to be Goblet of Fire.
I started reading it in elementary school when AR (Accelerated reading) was a program for my area. We had to read on our own or have our parents sign off on our time read. I came in with over 10 hours per day read because I was so transfixed on the story.
    10/10 I'd read again.

little known fact is that the MCU wouldn't have existed without blade. Whilst it wasn't a huge success, it did make a profit, money the production company needed after selling off their best IP (spiderman) It proved that comic book live action movies could be profitable and so they started planning the MCU, Ironman came out and pretty much set the benchmark for the rest, many consider Blade as the foundation like a building upon everything else was built.

Your grasp of what a fact is, is tenuous at best. You do realize there are well known interviews where this topic is discussed? Of course not. It takes a 5 second google search to figure out you are a pile of garbage. Good luck sloshing your way through life.

I can tell you first hand what it was like watching Star Wars for the first time in 1977, sitting in the back seat of a Datsun B210 at the drive-in movies, watching out the windshield between my older sibs, I was 11, I actually looked out the back window to see if the Star Destroyer was coming from behind us. My sibs had already sen it once and were waiting to see how I would react to the opening. Yup I'm that old.

  • @ThemeOfSecrets
    @ThemeOfSecrets 9 дней назад +1

Darth Vader's entrance...yup it was all that. And yes, the opening scene with the star destroyer se the tone. I was 11 and we got to the theater late. It was in NYC. The only seats available were up front. No one wanted to sit there because it was an IMAX sized screen. So I was literally in the front row looking up at the start destroyer as it came on screen. It extended outside of my field of vision. Indelible.

Since you asked; Although Jaws is credited with creating the Summer Blockbuster, you must remember film releases were already set, so the summer of 1977 was not looking to be special. I only saw Star Wars because I had nothing else to do that afternoon. I took in an early afternoon show- and sat through it three times. They didn't kick you out in those days. I did not move from my seat. The only reason I did not stay for the late show; my eyes could not take anymore. It was spectacular.

I was lucky to win a ticket on a radio show to go to the premiere of Star wars new hope at the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square in July 1977.. I was 16 at the time, it was the most amazing experience I had ever had and to see the opening scene is something I will never forget, even now at 63 I still remember it and the reaction of the audience. It was truly a massive step in cinematography

Definitely going to need a part 2 because I'm also thinking of Yennefer's entrance from The Witcher after she gets her glam up. Also, Drogo's appearance from GOT after he's all grown up and Daenerys first gets to ride him for the first time. And if we're going to talk about Vader's entrance, I think honorable mention should also go to Dark Helmet from Spaceballs as well. 🤣🤣🤣
