    Something not mentioned in this video. The chain inside the transfer case always spins. Regardless if you are in 2WD or 4HI. If the front wheels are turning, so will the front driveshaft that is connected to the transfer case chain.

      But only if there isn't a free wheeling hub installed.

      @@eliasaggeli1225 Different size sprockets can create different gear ratios. Thus changing torque and speed.

    1:00 4x4 high, but only Part Time right ? It seems to drive at a constant ratio which causes binding on dry road

    Can someone please explain to me how are the sleeves actuated in the transfer case? Are they electronic actuators? And if we turn to 4H while the car is moving at 20KPH, for example, will not the gear teeth grind with each other?

    Can someone explain to me why does the reduction gears dont have an effect if the dog gears are connected? Arent they still spinning with the input shaft?

      They're connected but not engaged
