Yea when I was on the video rating board I remember this videos papers came through. Most people check the box labeled "Under rated" And what do you know it was deemed to be under rated.
My transfer case (made sometime in the 80s) works slightly differently in that the high torque / low torque are done through planetary gears. A sleeve either connects the output shaft directly to the input shaft, or the the sleeve connects the output shaft to the planetary gears. Similar to an automatic transmission. The perk being that planetary gears can offer a much higher torque ratio than gear to gear. 2.72 for mine vs 1.98 for the previous gear driven model.
@@SkillLync can u explain me why the left side gear of the lay shaft is larger than the right side gear of the lay shaft? While larger one increases torque isnt the smaller one decreasing it?
Any way or device to get more torque to rear wheels on a 2wd without re-gearing differential. Kinda like a bolt on low gear transfer case to rear drive shaft?
Very underrated video! Super simple thanks!
