    Hi Wolo. Thank so much for taking time to explain to us the reality of job prospects in Canada. I particularly like when you mentioned references outside of Canada. I think in some way, Canadian companies have a double standard. On one hand they want experienced workers to fill in a particular position and on the other hand they doubt about the ability of an employee to match the position. It doesn't make any sense to me that you went through 6 to 7 phases of recruitment and still be denied the job. Usually, the first 2 interviews should give the company enough information about the candidate's skills. I think many of them just have unreasonable expectations from the candidates interviewed.

    I love it when videos like these make it sound sooooooooooo easy to come to Canada. Yea I was just like yall in the comment section once upon a time. Im not saying its impossible to move here. But what people fail to tell you is how this adventure will cost you LOTS of money.. and even after you spend all that money.. its STILL not a guarentee your going to be able to get through with permanent residence. Canada is filled with empty promises. But hey.. dont take it from me.. come on up and see for yourself😂😂

    When an interviewer asks about the salary you're expecting, beware! This may be a trick question that often derails many eager applicants! It's always wise to respond tactfully by saying that you will accept the prevailing rate for the position

      You can also say according to reasearch you have done, this position usually pays dot dot dot. Or if the job position gives a range of $24-28/hr then at least say $25/hour.

    Good points and well done. I also think that for references as you said, it is important to let your referee know about the skill requirements of the job with respect to your skill so that he can communicate well when employer calls the referee. Thank you

    • @CanadaInfohub
      @CanadaInfohub  5 лет назад

      Thats very true, but in some cases they will ask you to put down names of your previous supervisors or Managers and of course you will not want to be discussing your career moves with your supervisor or Managers, that was what happened in my own case, instead of them calling the references I put, they called the supervisors and Managers I had previously worked with in Canada.
